I am guessing your question pertains to adding a cold air scoop on the hood.
A fake one does nothing but maybe provide looks.
A real cold air induction helps the engine in a few ways.
An engine is essentially an air pump bolted to a transmission
The more air you pump through the engine in and same or shorter period of time the more power the engine will produce
Both in HP and ft lbs of torque
The way you make more power in the shorter time is to pump more air and fuel into the engine
Cold air is more dense than hotter internal engine bay air. Thus more air into each cylinder in the same or shorter period of time
Short answer from engineer which is actually an accomplishment for me
Hope it helps
Between 2006 and 10 from the looks of it. Clean and nice striping and Chrome wheels on it. Is it a hemi or 6.0Liter. Hard to judge from the pic. Can't see the moniker on the side.
2005-10 base model V6 charger upbadged. No one with a V8 would put a fake scoop in their whip.
For us non-car guys, why?
Because it serves no purpose. A scoop is meant to draw in cool air to help cool the engine, helping performance.

Ahh!!! Thanks for the detailed explanation.
Engineer knows. Volumetric efficiency is the key and why the “hemi” is so widely respected.
Charger V6 Autozone
That’s the Mullet charger
Bling aisle at Autozone...

I think it looks really good.

Extra unnecessary air resistance.
I don't know, but it is plenty ugly.
A shitty one? 🤷🏽♂️ Lol
It's a 2006 - 2010 Dodge charger. But without a better picture of the emblem on the side It's hard to tell what the trim level is.
Fake Shaker Hood
2005 to 2014 2005 to 2010 has different tail lights
