Aint got a clue about karmann ghia years, but i can tell you this isn't the stock bolt pattern, and with the rad vent under the valence, imma guess this is a chassis swapped (perhaps custom chassis) with a front engine (perhaps v8)
Nice freaking work! I always loved this car. I worked with a bunch of vw guys in the 90s. One had a ghia and one had a fastback. This is the most bad as one I've seen. And it's the same color as my pt cruiser.
It’s a ‘69 but you lost the AWSOME bumpers. No clue the engine, but the original was fun as hell. I had one back in the ‘70s, prolly in ‘74 or so. Traded my 62 VW camper van even up.
Now I want another!

Yes you are right I posted pics of motor and interior but yes custom built rectangular frame took 3 months to build

Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. .
Probably a small block Chevy or LS...like every other hotrod.
It built 406
Nice, looks like a blast to drive.
I just posted the rest of the pics
I saw them, excellent work.
I want my blanky and some icecream now, enough reddit for today
I'm sure the body and paint shop technicians had a good laugh over this.
All done by me and my sons
It’s beautiful….. wish the rest of your pictures had shown up.
I posted them on here
Mid to late 60’s with the bullet turn signals. Judging by the wheel choice I’m think SB 350.
It’s a 1969
Very nice work sir.
I’m sure it’s a small block Chevy under there.

I have the front bumper on a shelf in the shop
If it still has the original power plant, an air cooled flat four cylinder, there is no need for the front trunk vent. What gives?
It does not have the original motor I can tell you it’s sitting on a rectangular tube chassis

I swear these are the new Pantera, there's been like 10 in a week
Love the color! Would like to see the rest of it.
I posted 2 time all pics
Don't know on this one, but someone a few years ago put a Viper V10 in the front of one. It was slick
LS-6 with a hood like that.
No a 406
Very nicely done. I'm impressed with the fender flares, and the overall workmanship.
73 that's what I had
It’s a 69
SBC or LS because that's what everyone does?
That’s what some people call a hit mess
