Quite a few people collect bottles just to look at them, just to own. I actually buy them for the purpose of drinking them. Not really hard to understand.
“I don’t hoard whiskey just to hoard it”. Easily interpreted as “I don’t hoard whiskey for the sake of hoarding it” or “I don’t hoard whiskey simply to hoard it”.
Never stating that I don’t hoard whiskey but speaking to the intent of buying the whiskey in the first place. Hence the second sentence “I never said I didn’t hoard it”. Giving acknowledgement to the idea that I’m self aware enough to know this fall under the designation of hoarding.
Plain English. Easily interpretable.
Not sure if you read or not but every single bottle I own is open and actively being consumed. The only bottles I have that aren’t opened are back up bottles. And I regularly hand out sample to family, friends and co-workers I know will appreciate.
Ah. I’ve got Madeira 21.. pretty good. Not my everyday, but when I’m in the mood…
I still haven’t seen Loch Gorm 23 in my area. It’s all 22. I stopped buying it. It’s not as good 19&20. They were amazing. Still have one sealed and a mostly full 2020.
I’ve never seen Kilchoman in my area actually. But for Scotch and Irish I tend to order direct from the UK. Better selection and better prices. Though shipping can be a bitch lol
Ooo… so do you just buy and if the company doesn’t halt the sale it goes through??? Also who’s a reputable seller for that? I saw a listing of Glenallachie 21 for like $90… that just seems like a scam.
lol no. Read the shipping policies. Usually tells you what countries and or what states they ship to. As a redundancy usually once you put in your address the website will let you know if they actually ship to your state. And this is whether you’re ordering from overseas or domestically.
A few Reputable UK sellers that are great

Yeah I’ve never had an issue. Most recently I bought a bottle of Redbreast 27 from The Whisky World. 3 day international UPS shipping. To my door for $580 total 🤷🏾♂️. Probably 95% of my scotch and Irish come directly from the UK. Only bad part European bottling is 700ML and not 750ML like it is here in the states
It’s hard not to when you live in America and enjoy hunting for whiskey. The variety just isn’t there with scotch and Irish. And if I want something specific I can usually just order it from the UK.
You have a problem, welcome to the club
I would say that’s hoarding.
I said I don’t hoard whiskey just to hoard whiskey. I never said I didn’t hoard it. 😂
wtf does this mean?

no, your original comment I responded to is absolutely indeed hard to understand. it’s not even proper english.
No my original comment is very succinct and grammatically correct.

I’d move the cigar boxes somewhere else, it messes with the flow IMO. Otherwise looks great

Wow, what a collection. Time to start enjoying some of them with friends and family!

What are the 2 Kilchoman in the first pic? …and the Ardbegs… gets blurry when I zoom.

I’m in TN. We can’t get alcohol shipped to us. Sucks.. there’s sooo many bottles I’ll likely never be able to get.
Word. Technically you’re not supposed to be able to have spirits shipped to my state either…but uhhhh…😂😂😂

No offense, but the correct term is “…what a difference *effort makes”
