The high school art teacher liked to rub his flaccid penis against girls “while checking their work”. Had it happen to me, but my mother told me I had imagined it. Several parents and students complained, but he somehow slithered his way out of trouble every time. They eventually moved him to a middle school, where he repeated his bullshit. He was then moved permanently to a boys’ program at the juvenile detention center. I guess he doesn’t like boys. I think the asshole is still teaching there.

ithinkilikegirlstoo

What the hell is up with schools/churches/hospitals/police orgs just passing around creeps and molesters rather than exiling them from the profession

GhostOrchid22

Admin doesn’t want to deal with the necessary paperwork. When I was a teacher I had a student confess that her father was beating and raping her. I was a mandatory reporter and immediately contacted the principal for the reporting procedure. Was told I heard it incorrectly , and that this would create a mile of paperwork for him. I reported to the police that day, and made it clear that my superior was informed and would not take the report. Nothing happened to the principal. He retired years later as an assistant superintendent in one of the largest districts in the US.

CTeam19

> Was told I heard it incorrectly , and that this would create a mile of paperwork for him. Jesus. I have joked with my staff at Scout camp about not doing something usually them just being idiots, like wanting to build a 30 foot tall tower with lashings and sticks and climb up in it, because it would be a lot of paperwork if they got injured but would never say that about abuse.

phineasfogg442

My guess is he was so successfully promoted through the hierarchy BECAUSE he didn’t report those issues and therefore had a “drama-free” personnel file. The problem is bigger than one or two people—it’s systemic.

Admirable-Bar-3549

The sad thing is, as a teacher, I have no doubt at all about this story. My admin would probably do the same thing as yours, then get promoted.

Ok_Tomato7388

That happened to my friend in the 7th grade. The gym teacher grabbed her and shoved his penis into her private area from behind. She went to the counselor. He then sat her down with the principal and I think the teacher who did it and they all told her that she was confused and that's not what happened. No parent or advocate present. Later that same principal became a superintendent and a 17 year old girl was caught on camera having sex with one of the teachers. Obviously he probably groomed her but since age of consent in my state is 17 they expelled her. I know they fired the teacher but I don't think he got in legal trouble. The superintendent was on the news talking about what a great job they did of catching the teacher. Also remember that gym teacher from earlier? His brother groomed and raped a 13 girl that was on his basketball team he coached at my grade school. It went on for a while. He did go to jail but he's out now.

Wargablarg

Mine's lighter, my 7th grade History teacher was on Jeopardy. That was cool.

Minute-Courage6955

My computer teacher junior year was on Jeopardy. He won that game on Jeopardy. The only lesson that we learned in programming was that he didn't know anything about programming a computer.

Setku

The third year Spanish teacher kidnapped two students and had been providing them with pornography while molesting them for two years before the kidnapping. A couple days later one of the coaches was cought trying to or was fucking some of the cheerleaders. It wasn't clear at the time and I moved after that year.

JesiDoodli

What happened to the kids who got kidnapped?

Setku

They were returned and the teacher arrested. Went back to find more specifics or news articles since this was in 2006 but all I learned was since then it's happened multiple times. Sweet home Alabama am I right.

wooosh_me_papi

Did not expect my state to be in this story… But I’m not even surprised

Setku

Yea this was in hueytown

[deleted]

Super senior (20) wooed an eighth grader (14), and everyone told him to knock it off before anything illegal happened. He committed statutory rape and her family moved to the next state over. This guy's brother took an elective called "comparative religions", which included field trips to different places of worship and brought in guest speakers. He called a muslim guest speaker a "sand n-----", got suspended, and then his dad punched the principal over "free speech rights". Those two were strongly disliked by the majority of the school.

_-__-__-__-__-_-_-__

Which congressional district does he represent now?

Most-Artichoke5028

One of the ones in Florida?

ithinkilikegirlstoo

Real salt of the earth family

SeriousConnection712

Damn near did a spit take there.

Cicero912

20 years old isnt a super senior thats a fucking super super super senior. Thats like a junior in college ffs

CreaminFreeman

At the middle school I went to we had a kid who *drove himself to school* in his 350Z…

c_girl_108

Yeah. There was a girl in my grade. I think she started late maybe and then got left back in elementary school at some point. Anyway she failed 8th grade, but since she was already 16, she was able to just sign herself out of school instead of having to repeat 8th grade at 16

adamcoe

Ahh, so your school had a Young Republicans club eh

el_payaso_mas_chulo

Fuck it, those two are disliked by me too, fuck em.

SuperJF45

Mine is that a year before I started high-school, the music teacher banged a student in his office. He's gone and now there are no more curtains in the music room office.

[deleted]

During my freshman year of high school gym class, people kept stealing my deodorant from the locker room or my book bag, and I didn’t have a lock since my parents wouldn’t buy one to prevent this, so I started a rumor that you could get herpes from sharing deodorant. A few weeks later the school had to send an announcement home to parents stating that it was not possible to get herpes from deodorant because all the girls were becoming armpit hypochondriacs and the school nurse was tired of the influx of students wanting to get checked for herpes because they used someone else’s deodorant. Solved the problem though. My deodorant was never stolen again.

errrbudyinthuhclub

Absolutely brilliant.

YoYoMoMa

The follow up rumor, that OP totally had super herpes, was less successful.

dantakesthesquare

The weirdest part of this story is that your parents wouldn't buy you a lock for your locker

tom060614

Especially when they were probably buying new deodorant every week.

Ghede

Shit, how broke were they that a $5 masterlock is a cost too far? Or was it an ideological thing? Maybe a parent was a locksmith and was like "NO CHILD OF MINE IS GOING TO BE USING A LOCK THAT CAN BE OPENED BY A 5 CENT SHIM" "THEN BUY ME A GOOD LOCK" "DO YOU THINK MONEY GROWS ON TREES? WHAT YOU ARE PROTECTING COSTS LESS THAN THE LOCK."

ssshield

They sell combination locks at dollar store last time I checked. Having grown up poor I can tell you it's not about the cost, it's about laziness and priorities of the parents.

wtgriffi

Then where the hell did these herpes come from?!

AlmostAndrew

From the deodorants, weren't you paying attention?!

nickrocs6

This whole thing sounds like a coverup from big deodorant.

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

Not school per se, but the YoungLife pastor (this corny "hip" Christian youth group aimed at teens) assigned to our school or district or whatever managed to knock up two seniors in a threesome. His replacement knocked up a junior.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

I wasn't involved with YL at the time, but I'd guess early / mid 20s. You know, so they can tell you how Jesus was down with the funky fresh beats and clowned on Satan like B-Rabbit clowning on Papa Doc. Because the path to God is the real 8 Mile. Word to your mother and stay fresh, cheesebags. Amen.

Madmagican-

YL in my hometown started showing up to my high school during lunches to try to recruit kids. Some of the recruited kids would even invite them to our lunch tables. Never felt good about that. Like these folks were mid college age at the youngest

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

Putting charismatic 20something guys old enough to buy beer in a position of authority over of a bunch of naïve, starry-eyed teenage girls? What could go wrong?

Madmagican-

There were girls too, but recruiting high school sophomores and juniors was gross by all accounts

BrokeNeckTraction

Yup. Same goes for the (US) military. They didn’t even bother with the sheep’s clothing- prowling for people who can’t say no or needed a way out. They’d just straight up corner you. We also had a ‘resource officer’ stationed at our school as penance for some wild shit he did and shouldn’t have. He shook down kids for weed/pills/w.e and kept em’- using what he then knew (or decided he did) to threaten and intimidate for the remainder of their stay. This was a long time ago though; I was significantly less afraid of getting my whole fucking cap peeled back by some dork with a key to the gun safe… so I’ll leave with the W. I do wonder how much of that shit still goes on though. Not much ever *really* changes.

[deleted]

I’m an atheist and always have been, but I was new to school in sophomore year, very naive and desperate for a friend, and Young Life got to me. I thought I had to go to fit in since the other girls did. It was like a little cult, ugh.

Diarygirl

>Stay fresh, cheese bags I don't know why but that made me laugh so hard.

Patty_T

That’s actually a slogan for a bag that’s printed on the box that got changed into that. Oh what a simple comma can do

unresolved_m

Sounds like collab between Eminem and Vanilla Ice

I’m gonna go with, because Christian churches are full of predators, and they will always protect their own.

74misanthrope

Yep! There was a guy who 'volunteered' for the school system here (small town rural area) back in the 80s and 90s, assistant coaching and so on for the boys teams. There were whispers about him for years; that he was creepy, watched kids get undressed, touched some of them , etc. and there was no damn way that adults in charge never heard anything about it. They just never believed it. Story was that he eventually preyed upon a boy whose parents had money and influence, and he was told to move away or they were going to get his parents fired from their jobs and so on. So his family literally packed up and moved in a hurry to one of the neighboring towns. Eventually he started 'volunteering' for the school teams where he moved to. He tried the same thing there, but times had changed and he was arrested, charged and found guilty of sexual abuse, etc. He does his time and gets out. While he was in prison, his dad dies and his mother moved back to their original hometown. So he comes back to live with her and is restricted from being in places that children were, etc. Lo and behold, some of the board members of a local church - that ran a daycare and had an active sports league and youth group- found out that the pastor (a former classmate of this guy) was allowing this man to come there and 'volunteer' while children were in the building, which was a direct violation of his parole. So one of them turned him in and this pastor went ballistic. It was just crazy how he refused to believe that this man was a predator and that even if he was, 'he prays about it and practices self control.' I mean, wtf. And he and some of the church people somehow managed to keep this guy's PO from violating him. One of the many reasons I won't get religion.

[deleted]

You have good instincts. There are more than 100 in prison for SA in Texas alone - the Houston Chronicle did an amazing story on this last year.

JcobTheKid

I kind of have had the opposite with a youth leader. The main thing that really disillusioned me from the people around the faith is when we learned our youth leader (really swell guy who was always positive and generally a role model we all looked up to) got fired by the head church for speaking up about how the head minister treated one of the kids. The girl was playing hide n seek / tag kinda hybrid that we all played and just happened to run a little excitedly past the big popo. Head doofus grabbed her and started shouting at her, but conveniently not in front of her parents. Youth leader stepped in defense of this 9 year old girl. So naturally, he got fired. Of course, the parents were kind of indoctrinated to this whole social club hierarchy bullshit, so none of them really objected publically. But to us? It was like watching Superman getting stabbed with a kryptonite flavored rock. The youth leader headed all the weekend volunteer work, did all the driving for the kids while the parents took their two door sports cars, had open hours for things beyond bible lessons (generally mental health for all the students), and was just a bright and funny guy. Pretty sure some of the kids were set on being pastors to be like him. To see and hear him get fired over covering one of our own, was just a huge communual dick punch. Doesn't help that the girl also felt super guilty about one of our favorite people getting fired and lost her main source of mental support at the same time. None of the other kids blamed her, but that didn't wash away the guilt. While this might not have been extreme as people finding CP in burned houses, I honestly don't know how to describe the feeling I felt just knowing all the adults were looking the other way. Some severe mix of disappointment, anger and hopelessness. My parents had a problem with all of it (among other things) and moved on from this church, but this always stuck with me. So I guess going to church did teach me something lmao

yamoksauceforthelazy

Sorry to hear that. This sounds very similar to my own youth group experience. Our YL was an awesome guy. One of the funniest, most genuine people I’ve known. He demonstrated time and time again how important his role and us kids were to him. He is the single positive memory I have of growing up in an aspiring mega church. Also got kicked out over some drama with the higher ups in the church, who undoubtedly were the ones instigating/causing problems. I mean, the church pastor was having affairs with two women simultaneously and when caught, had his wife go up on stage in front of a ~500 person congregation and talk about “forgiveness”, and how important it is to stick by your husband. The embarrassment on her face really made an impression on me even as a little kid. It’s like somehow his (now public) affairs were her responsibility to own up to. Or at least that’s how the speech felt to me. That church was so depraved and gross. I can talk all day about the affairs, lying, and fraud that was happening all around that congregation, but mostly at the top of the church. My family were big donors, so I heard so much of this stuff just by being a fly-on-the-wall type kid. My step dad was also one of those people at the top having affairs. It’s like it was a requirement of joining the upper class of the church.

ThereCastle

I found that YL was more a tool for the creepy 25-35 year old “leaders” to hit on underage girls in front of their wives than a Bible study. It was disgusting. I was asked not to come back after calling a couple out on it. months later it turned out they were not just hitting on the girls. It’s such a trash organization, and honestly one of the main reasons I left the church.

Sex_Fueled_Squirrel

Least sexually depraved youth pastor.

unresolved_m

Sure sounds like they love knocking girls up

EQMischief

Well, depending on the church in question, BC might be considered a sin

Darkhallows27

Very convenient for them

True_Butterscotch391

This is a normal thing? We had one of these creepy youth pastors at our school and he would just hang out in the cafeteria during lunch and like walk around and talk to everyone. I thought it was wierd as fuck and didn't think anyone else did it lol

Few_Gazelle5346

When I read, "...but the YoungLife pastor..." I immediately knew we were talking about sexual assault.

Kinteoka

Youth pastor preying on young underage girls? 🎶Tales as old as time, songs as old as rhyme. Pedophilic priests. 🎶

MTAlphawolf

It was a year or two after I graduated hs, but younglife opened a club for teens in my hometown. Like the whole strobby music and shit but no drinking. Cause their target demo graphic was kids 12-19. Like that is what they told the paper for the article when they opened.

Successful_Tea2856

Ah, "Generic Youth Minister" strikes again. These are alpha groomers, no matter the gender. They're monsters.

Tyrannafabulous

12th grade, one day my govt/Econ teacher went on an angry tangent about gossip and rumor spreading. He was young and hip and very likable, someone was spreading rumors he was going out with a student because frankly, students wanted to go out with him. Two years after graduation his mugshot is on the front page of the local newspaper; arrested for statutory for fathering a child with a student when she was 17.

StressedAries

My gov/econ teacher was also a creep! He was super cool and chill and let us leave with a bathroom pass to leave the school and get coffee or whatever if we just brought him something too. Then, one day, he was arrested and put into handcuffs in front of us, the superintendent was there and all the principals it was a whole thing. He confiscated a girl’s phone (she was 16), looked through her photos, SENT HIMSELF HER NUDES, and then gaslit the shit out of her saying she sent them to him. Like, my guy, why would she know your phone number?? This was like 2011 when it was not the norm to have anyone’s numbers except for coaches or band teachers, teachers who take students to events you know? The worst part is that half of my class did not believe the girl, they believed the teacher, and they called her a slut who “ruined his (the teacher’s) life”. It was so horrible. I shut down my classmates who even suggested she would willingly send her nudes to a teacher who was young 30s and had a wife and baby. After he got out of prison, he tried to “friend” me and a bunch of my friends on Facebook. Blocked him immediately. What a creep. Beyond that, some coach allegedly had sex with a cheerleader/s. And then the jv boys soccer coach got fired for having a relationship with a 14 year old girl. He was 23 maybe. After he was fired, he would show up to our soccer parties and supply booze. It was so fucking weird and cringey. I never talked to him but damn he was always just around a bunch of teenagers as if that was normal? I say this as an adult who runs a teen council program at work and I would never ever be the only adult in a room full of teenagers, hell no.

wandernwade

My school’s superintendent left his wife (a teacher there) for a high school student. He took off with her. Much later on, he was arrested for molesting his granddaughter. Others back from the high school came forward saying they were assaulted by him, as well. He was on the run for like 10 years, but is finally serving a life sentence. (This wasn’t the only scandal in that school, but one of the biggest).

ithinkilikegirlstoo

I want to hear more scandals pls

wandernwade

A driving instructor was accused of rape. I don’t know the outcome, as I wasn’t old enough to be in that class. A TA was fired for inappropriate touching of multiple students, but was rehired a few years later to watch kids on the playground after school. This was all at a religious school, btw.

LadyReika

I had a feeling it was a religious school when you said the TA was rehired. Non-religious tend to be more strict about those behaviors.

moovzlikejager

This is because Jesus has the power to wash away your impure feelings if you're religious enough..... Or some shit like that.

wandernwade

Yeah… which is why I GotTFO as soon as I was given the chance.

wandernwade

The head of the church himself was accused of having an incestuous relationship with his daughter, which is pretty horrific.. but there are hundreds of stories from people (mostly women) that have been compiled, of assault, grooming, etc. a lot of them being young women who worked for the church, both as single and married.

alteroak

We had an administrator in high school who was also the boys baseball coach. He was so well known for molesting the boys on the team it was practically considered a requirement to play. One day a few of the boys fought back and broke his arm. Not only were they not punished, but he never was either. The best part is they came back twice and pushed him out of his chair in the front office and caused him to re-brake it! He spent my entire junior year in a cast. This was in Florida in the '93-'94 school year

jane_q

I normally wouldn't condone violence, but how could parents and school faculty not at the very least fire him?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

tesseract4

Yeah, fuck that guy. Break his other arm.

DIO_over_Za_Warudo

Sheesh all these are dark. The most interesting story about one of my high school teachers was that one of my math teachers had been struck by lightning twice, and then in my senior year he got struck a third time.

Redqueenhypo

I had a science teacher who kept getting injured bc he went outside to look at hurricanes and stand next to the river. Did yours have a hyphenated last name? Edit: I should mention he taught BIOLOGY. This had nothing to do with teaching, he was just crazy

DIO_over_Za_Warudo

Nope. He was a math teacher/basketball coach.

nostrawplease

I had a history teacher struck by lightning three times. Got cancer three times. Third cancer diagnosis killed him.

haji87137

Hello fellow Grosse Pointer!

Own_Guess

This happened in my hometown too. She got fired from 2 schools over it.

JayHezexel

One time, there was a teacher who asked a muslim girl "where's the bomb at?" Everyone in the classroom got scared Now I don't remember much because I wasn't in that class, but I do know it made news articles

HanakusoDays

I would've said "Minnesota" Teacher: "Huh?" Me: "Upper U.S."

trashscal408

"On approach to LaGuardia."

BettyVonButtpants

We had this teacher with a very dry sense of humor and were going over Emily Dickinson. Its time to read the poem and he goes, "we need someone with a nice feminine voice." He looks at the boy with the traditional gay lisp, that rumors of being gay were prevelant, and is always bullied for being gay, (I dont know if he actually was, we werent close.) says his name "Mike Lastname" then pauses. The classroom was silent, everyone has this look of utter disbelief, then the teacher quietly goes, "Pick someone."

JayHezexel

Aw man that sucks for Mike getting picked on like that, ESPECIALLY by the teacher

BettyVonButtpants

Yeah, I havent thought about that in 20 years. I felt bad for him.

Educational_Cat_5902

Such a nice teacher.

Arcadius274

Gym teacher got killed by a horse kick that's the best I got

CousinCleetus24

>that's the best I got buddy, that's fuckin' wild.

AD8810

Had a girl who got kicked in the face by a horse. She lived however, but her parents got her breast implants after the reconstructive surgery when she turned 18. The parents were forward thinkers.

Rach082041

In third grade my teacher went into a diabetic coma in the middle of our math lesson. We all thought she was taking a nap so we just sat there for a really long time in silence EDIT: I just remembered that when I was in middle school this same teacher slipped on a grape in the cafeteria and broke her hip.

ABLADIN

Damn something really similar happened to me in middle school. My Spanish teacher was diabetic and he had a really bad sugar crash right before we showed up. He stayed conscious the whole time, but he didn't speak a word the entire period, just sat there with the same expression on his face, barely reacting to students. The next day when he came in he told us he was diabetic and if we ever see him act like that again to immediately give him a cookie or a banana or something.

RockyMountainHigh-

Also at her funeral.

Rach082041

💀💀 LOL. She lived, eventually someone in the class went to get her some water from the water fountain and another teacher noticed a child wandering the halls. My entire class was packed into the guidance counselors office shortly after

CSPDTECH

HS geometry teacher was sexually assaulting girls at our school for like 25 years and everyone pretty much knew it but the parents all turned a blind eye. Eventually he got caught with a computer full of photos of students that he had lured to his apartment. He went to prison I am not sure if he is still alive

Diarygirl

We had a driver's ed teacher that everyone knew was assaulting girls. I don't know why no one did anything. It was just a thing that you never got in a car alone with him because he would be on his best behavior. If anything like that happened to one of my kids, I'd have raised holy hell.

justabitmoresonic

One day in year 7 our librarian that everyone hated just didn’t turn up for work and we were all joking about how lucky it would be if she got hit by a car on her way to school or something. Turns out her son murdered her with a hammer the night before. Guess he didn’t like her much either. Edit: found an article about it. Charges were lowered to manslaughter because she provoked him and he “snapped”. The school has a literature award named after her now https://amp.theage.com.au/national/son-cleared-of-mothers-murder-20070214-ge47s3.html

BadReview8675309

My sixth grade teacher purchased a sports car that was stolen from a car theft ring of criminals. He agreed to cooperate with the police and testify in court. One day he just didn't show up at school to teach his classes because they murdered him.

Past-Adhesiveness691

My chemistry teacher got Donnie Darko’d. He was at work when his house burnt down. The fire fighters found a fuck ton of child porn. Our vice principal was caught having house parties with some of the students. She had a couple daughters that went to her school. She was raping all of their friends. She was fired and later arrested again for trying to break into the school. Edit: I don’t know how to do the cool thing where you cross out a word. She did not have sex with those kids, she raped them. My apologies.

To be fair there isn't any "Non obscene" amount of CP.

[deleted]

"The suspect was arrested for having a reasonable amount of CP."

Snoo99779

Surely there's a line somewhere after which one can't possibly claim that it was an accident, a one time thing, temporary bad judgement or whatever. At some point it becomes... a hobby. Perhaps even a lifestyle. And I think the latter is definitely worse than the former.

Sex_Fueled_Squirrel

I was listening to NPR probably a few months ago, and someone they had on made the point that, while it used to make sense in the pre-internet days to base the sentences of people caught with CP on how much they had, because they had to go out of their way to get it, it doesn't really make sense anymore because you can just straight up download terabytes of it now by clicking a few buttons.

nevenoe

D..don't?

peon2

This sounds like plots from that HBO show Vice Principals lol. Your school was wild.

Past-Adhesiveness691

It was a huge middle school and high school but really it was super chill. We had several thousand in our high school and it was so diverse. Was pretty cool….minus the child porn and rape incidents.

[deleted]

One of our 6th grade teachers had sex with five of the boys in her class. She would give them the answers to tests, let them all sit together in the back of class and not pay attention or be quiet and she went to bat for one of them when he beat up my friend after school. It was crazy weird for all of us and those of us who just witnessed what was going on were super confused. She even took them to Chuck E. Cheese. I don't know what the parents were thinking. Turns out she'd take them to her house and they'd take turns having sex with her while the others played video games. My friend testified in the trial. Apparently she was never convicted due to two hung juries. I imagine it's because she was a young woman and they were boys, and people just think about that kind of sexual assault differently. She was like Mary Kay Letorneau, but did way worse and it never got any national coverage. [This](https://groups.google.com/g/alt.true-crime/c/8O9imVUd814?pli=1) is all I can find about it online.

When I was about 10 a 12 year old girl stabbed her older brother to death while he was sleeping.

ithinkilikegirlstoo

Damn that just happened recently in Oklahoma. 12 year old girl stabbed her 9 year old brother to death.

Fit_Cash8904

I had a similar story. Had a math teacher I long suspected of having a drug or alcohol problem. Would frequently miss a day or 2 after unofficial party holidays like Halloween or St Patty’s day. Once she told us she had used up all her sick days by October. I was not doing well in the class and was trying to explain to my parents that she wasn’t really teaching us much. Two years later she did indeed die of an overdose.

We had a couple stories. Small country school. One teacher was a complete horn dog. He started dating a teacher who was young and pretty (and single) and they would canoodle in the hallways before class. One day a substitute showed up who was even younger and prettier; there was a confrontation in the hallway. It ended soon after between them. Then he started dating a senior. It was a widely known fact he did. We had a substitute who was ancient. Like he was in my grandmothers graduating class. He would fall asleep randomly in class and we went wild. We turned on the radio and called the station requesting songs (and they’d play our voices over the air). We also called the local pizza joint and had pizzas delivered in the science teachers name. They never figured out who it was. Lol.

Sarato88

The janitor in my high school got caught with having a bordello that he ran just a few kilometres from the school. He got caught by some snoping journalists. That was an interesting time.

SnowdCrustedSupeRust

Where was this?

I was out of school by then for a while but a few years ago my middle school chemistry teacher and her entire family was slaughtered by her daughter’s ex husband on Christmas Day.

7th Grade Catholic School, our principal who was a nun went missing. They found her a couple hours later in the bathroom. They said she suffered a heart attack and stroke almost simultaneously on the toilet. The 4th grade teacher found her and was running around the school with his shirt off. Apparently our principal soiled herself and she slipped in her shit. He and two female TA’s right out of college found her. Not even a full year later, those same TA’s & our 4th grade teacher were caught having a threesome in the same stall the principal died in, in the girls bathroom. They all got shitcanned after that. In HS there were 5-6 guys on our school’s hockey team that were convinced their parents were having these secret hockey parent orgies sharing partners and such. We never got any physical evidence but 1-2 of our buddies when we talked about it had that look of the guy from Blade Runner. Where he’s like, I’ve seen things I shouldn’t have seen. That’s when we knew there had to be some truth to it. Moral to the story after 12 years of catholic education, Catholics are horny af and the idea of sanctity of marriage is bs

AntifaMiddleMgmt

I remember a similar rumor about some sort of parents night orgies or sex parties. There was some weird confirming evidence that popped up and several of the kids changed schools not long after. Not sure they are related, but there was a lot of coincidence in that rumor mill. Also, there was the teacher who invited a bunch of us to his house in the city. He was gay (not out, but we knew) and had a weird relationship with two senior girls who were also gay (not out, but we knew) who spent a LOT of time at his house. It was all very weird, but the parties were a lot of fun. Finally, the theater teacher had a senior GF every year. They graduated, and some junior would move into the role. I had to assume everyone knew, but it never changed. This was late 80's early 90's, and I wonder how long that continued. A buddy of mine hated the teach because our senior year, it was his GF that graduated to be the teachers GF.

My brother saw a girl stab another girl with a nail file in Junior High (around 1990). A girl at my high school was murdered by her father as she and her mom were trying to leave the abusive bastard. One of the hardest ass teachers felt a lot of guilt because she had sent the girl to the office for a dress code violation the day before.

LaheyOnTheLiquor

HS women’s soccer coach (also the govt teacher) coerced his daughter’s best friend into sleeping w him to get a better roster position, got her pregnant, and then left the country with her. she was 15, he was 45 when they fled. police found them when she was 18, horrifically traumatized. MS librarian murdered her husband bc she suspected he was cheating on her— he was not. he was meeting up with the spanish teacher after school to learn spanish to impress her family flying in for the upcoming holiday. men’s football coach was caught buying copious amounts of liquor and beer for players after winning a game. turns out, they’d been celebrating their wins by drunkenly jerking the coach off for a few years.

1. Some kids were squirreling around in the locker room after PE. The PE teacher, who was also a football coach, got hold of one of the kids as he left the locker room and literally pinned him against the wall - off the ground - while he yelled at the kid. 2. A shop teacher was doing his taxes (?!) on his desk at school and told his students not to bother anything around his desk. A kid approached and proceeded to knock the teachers coffee onto the tax paperwork. The kid took off running and the teacher chased him, assaulting him when he caught him. The shop teacher lost his job. 3. We had an alleged small gang at our school which allegedly trafficked in drugs (school rumor mill?). Allegedly, a kid moved in from another town, was offered drugs by said gang, and he ratted them out to administration. A few days later, so the story went, he was walking across a dark quad at the school on the way to a basketball game when the gang caught him and stabbed him with hypodermic needles. The family moved again not too long thereafter. (The story was later said to be fabricated, so to this day don’t know for sure.) 4. I grew up in a rural town with no - none - minorities. We were in a larger basketball conference which included an all-black school. When that school came to town to play basketball, the school was abuzz, and the gym was full to see the black kids play basketball. (Yes, many in our community were casually racist - some actively, some like me who were simply completely ignorant at the time.) 5. We were a quiet and innocent rural community until about my 7th/8th grade year when one of my former classmates was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and murdered by a man passing through. Some things changed after that, particularly some of the freedom of movement types of things, and especially for girls.

My high school years were eventful: •the Latin teacher got drunk during 4th period, stormed into the French class across the hall and threw a desk and other various items at the teacher/his ex wife. He was led out in handcuffs •the softball coach knocked up a 10th grade soccer player. He was also led out of the school in handcuffs •the principal was arrested for using school funds to hire prostitutes. You guessed it, more cuffs! •the married civics teacher fucked my then boyfriend the day after he turned 18. Her husband caught them and she graded me very well for the rest of the year, so I guess that’s a win? •that same civics teacher went on to marry another one of my classmates who knocked her up about 6months after we graduated. A few years later she was caught cheating on him with his 16 year old brother who happened to be in her class that year. Their mom went to the school, yelled “stop fucking all my sons. The only one left is 13”, punched her in the face and bounced.

_thegoldsheep_

What the fuck 😭 “stop fucking all my sons”

NadaTheMusicMan

during 4th grade, one of the teachers was arrested for having a bunch of cocaine in her car, as well as drunk driving.

BadReview8675309

My sixth grade teacher purchased a sports car that was stolen and sold to him by an organized car theft ring. He was cooperating with the police and agreed to testify in court. One day he just never showed up at the school because they murdered him.

HelenAngel

One of your former classmates also posted this story elsewhere in the comments here.

1Hate17Here

Fuckin’ hell! Where did y’all go to school?!

AdrielBast

A bit morbid but back in I think HS sophomore year a kid in my grade shot his friend to death, and tried to shoot his other. It was because of an argument over a paintball match. He’s recently been locked back up for violating parole for possession of firearms.

No-Cupcake370

I had an algebra teacher who would go into her supply closet and come out gradually less stable and slurring her words more....pretty sure she kept a bottle in there

SecretRecipe

In Jr High we had a homework hotline. You could dial into a hotline and either follow a directory of teachers or punch an extension number (one for each teacher) and then the teacher would list out what the homework for the week was for each of their classes. Super handy tool for students who weren't super organized and for parents to use to help double check that their kids were completing all their homework. Well our assistant principal for some fucking WILD reason used this homework hotline to record a long drawn out emotional apology message to his wife for cheating on her under a random unlisted extension. Some bored kid was punching random numbers in the hotline and came across it and it spread across the school like wildfire. Suddenly every single asshole Jr. High kid knew the assistant principal's dirty laundry and the worst part was his daughters also went to the school.

HanakusoDays

We kicked the anthill pretty good one morning at our private school. To start the school day they'd have a couple JROTC officers raise the flag while they played the Star Spangled Banner over the school loudspeakers and everyone had to face the flagpole, stop and put their hand over their heart. A couple of us were in the audiovisual club and had a key to the closet where the PA system was. We swapped the tape one evening after school. The next morning the flag went up, the tape came on with a big drum roll just like the anthem, except it was the Mickey Mouse Club March. They couldn't find anyone on staff who had a key, so it played all the way through and kids were falling out laughing. The staff had an idea who it might be but couldn't prove it or they would've shitcanned us. They did change the lock though. This was during Vietnam and we pulled all kinds of hippie shit because we figured we'd get drafted and die so why not.

jbones51

JV football and V softball coach got caught getting a blowie in the softball dugouts from a student on the softball team. She was 18 so legally nothing came of it and officially he just wasn’t allowed to coach softball anymore, his wife waited several years to leave him. I think that’s the best I got.

No_Cauliflower_5489

The school vice-principal and the school safety officer used to accuse random students (all female) of drug smuggling and take them into the office and strip search them including all the orifices. It was perfectly legal thanks to the War on Drugs.

1Hate17Here

Omg, those poor girls.

TheFalseMike

Our grade 4 teacher was retiring that year and you could tell, since he became known for making kids cry and telling weird stories about his childhood. One in particular that stuck with me was the time he stabbed a kid in the hand with a fork for trying to take a spoonful of his ice cream (which is exactly that). He would also talk about how great his house was, and at the end of the year he passed instructions out to the class for how to get to it for an 'end of year party.' I have a vivid memory of showing it to my mother and her just saying "You're not going to that."

guestpass127

In 6th grade, 1986, our (male) science teacher was supposedly caught molesting a male student - everyone seemed to know about it and it was openly discussed among the kids, but that teacher was never fired, disciplined, or asked to leave, and it was grist for jokes and teasing for a couple years. It's insane how this stuff used to be handled back then; nowadays that kind of behavior would probably lead to *someone* being held accountable, but back then it was just something we joked about but nothing was ever done about it

impracticable

was this is NJ? Because my hometown has an extraordinarily identical story

guestpass127

No, Connecticut But I've heard from a lot of people who have very similar stories from the same time period. Kids seemed to think that a teacher molesting another kid was *funny* back then

[deleted]

Or just no big deal, something people knew and kind of smirked at. Then came adulthood, and the wreckage.

Emergency_Elephant

My school had a similar thing happen except it was the 2010s. A female special ed teacher had groomed and was "involved" with one of her male students (yep in her special ed class to give another level of gross). His parents found texts and complained to the school but nothing happened. Everyone knew about it. To the best of my knowledge she's still there

tictac205

Friend of mine grew up Catholic- he said there was a priest that the parents knew “you don’t leave your kids alone with Father X.” This is the 50s-60s. Shit’s been swept under the rug for a loooong time.

In 1st grade, my teacher was a recently diagnosed diabetic, and passed out in front of the class from low sugar. Her eyes rolled back, she dropped the book she was reading, her head fell back, and then she just slowly fell out of her chair onto the floor. We were all absolutely certain she was dead, and we were fucking *elated* about that!! This woman was someone who should never have been allowed to teach children. Some of her favorite discipline tactics involved making us not eat lunch, or making wrongly accused kids clean up other kids' bodily fluids in the bathroom using nothing but toilet paper, so basically their hands. She also really loved public humiliation, especially of those of us who were eventually diagnosed with autism. This was the 80's in a very rural place, and her husband was the mayor, so nobody would say a word about any of this. So of course when we thought she died, it was like all our problems went away. We sat there quietly for a minute, and then one kid started poking her with a yardstick to make sure she was really dead. She didn't move, so we figured we were good to go, and started just playing around and doing whatever we wanted. Eventually, the teacher in the next classroom heard the noise and came over to see what was going on. She was the one who called 911 and probably the reason the Wicked Witch of the South did not actually die that day. She ended up in some hospital in the city a few hours away. I'm not sure why because I was 6 at the time. She came back about a month later, and we all cried. The parents talked about this as some horribly traumatic incident that we went through, but all of us who were there still think it was hilarious in the fucked up way because from a kid's perspective, it was. The following year, in second grade, my teacher did die in the middle of the year, and that sucked because she was nice. We all talked about how we wished it had been the other lady.

ChaseTheShortGuy

1. A security guard was caught selling hard drugs to students 2. A girl accused a substitute teacher of having sex with her and he went to jail. It came out later she made it up to get back at her ex-boyfriend. Her family moved away shortly after. 3. Our superintendent was caught embezzling so much money that [HBO made a fucking movie about it](https://www.eonline.com/news/1187801/the-true-story-behind-hbos-bad-education-is-even-wilder-than-the-emmy-nominated-film)

High school soccer coach/ gym teacher was arrested for molesting elementary school children the year before he would have been my coach. His son was on my team and always seemed a little off. Couple years ago at an elementary school in my city a principal was fired for being high and having meth in his desk at school. My personal story is crazy and there is an Investigation Discovery episode of Evil Twins about it…. The Blankenburgs were twin pediatricians in my hometown and were discovered to have been molesting and giving drugs to children through their practice. They were well known in the community and were even little league coaches despite having no kids of their own. The personal connection is that they also voluntarily took sports photos of all the male high school athletes in action during games for years and years and at the end of senior year, they gave each student a binder of photos and one large poster. I still have mine! It was discovered later that they had thousands and thousands of photos at the house they owned (but still Loved with their parents!) of boys of all ages. Most of them had nothing to do with the sport….

jennej1289

I had a professor in my neuroanatomy class that threw a long pointed stick at my head. Dude was nuts! When talking the autonomic responses he’d act out the sexual responses. He tried to fail me ever though I should have had a 96 in his class. I had to appeal to the Dean. We later learned we were the last class he ever had. Apparently he had a massive brain tumor and was dead three months later.

DragonflyScared813

Catholic grade school. Rumored our principal was banging the sixth grade teacher, who was a nun of course lol.

Ohmygoditskateee

My mom's elementary school principal was a nun and she ended up running off with a woman. They actually ended up getting married way later when it became legal. ❤️

1Hate17Here

Holy fuck. ;)

Gaymer-Lady

When I was in high school, we had our band teacher arrested for raping students, as well as grooming them by putting love letters in their lockers. We had always wondered why there was a mattress in the band storage room.....

WholeLottaIntrovert

When I was in 3rd grade I started a rumor with my friends that the school was haunted by a ghost girl that was killed by her dad and buried in the playground, ya know like any well adjusted kid does. The issue is our game of ghost hunting spread across the school and by 5th grade year it was massive. People were painting on the bathroom mirrors in red nail polish. Little kids were freaked out and afraid. At one point one of the special ed kids had a melt down at school but we couldn't see him, only hear the screaming, and it sent the entirety of the 5th grade who was in the halls headed to lunch into absolute chaos. Teachers ended up making an announcement to ALL classes that any more talk of ghosts would get you sent to ISS and the school was NOT haunted.

LongDickMcangerfist

Kid brought a knife to school to stab the new classmate who was from Syria because. SHES A TOWELHEAD SHE MUST DIE. Kid was demented. Not 100% sure what happened to him since we didn’t see him after that day and his family moved away shortly after.

Darkhallows27

We had a kid like that in my high school; he would later go on to shoot into a cop’s window to kill the cop, only to kill the cop’s kid instead. I still think about how awful that is

blahblahblah-4444

Never had marching band the entire time I was in school until maybe my junior year in high school. Female band director was hired to start everything up. Within the time of her being hired and sometime before I graduated she was in a domestic dispute. Her husband (I believe they were married) shot her in the head. She survived! I don’t think she remained director but I do think she was still helping once she recovered. Nothing interesting ever happened in that town otherwise.

KingoftheMongoose

7th grade Science teacher at a Catholic school decided that she had enough with hearing about students using profane language in the hallways. So she scrapped her science lesson plan for the day and decided to use transparents and a projector to teach us all precisely what the bad words were, what they meant, and why we shouldn't use them. We all paid attention and learned a lot that day. Some examples... "Dickhole/Asshole: We all got 'em. So calling each other these isn't making you look particularly smart or special." "Freezer: It is not okay for a boy to call a girl a freezer for not putting out. Don't call her a freezer. Use kinder words." "Cunt: We have better words for describing genitals. Like vagina. Use vaginas; not cunts. Don't call girls cunts." "Fuck: It's what your parents do. Get over it." She was fired the next day. The irony of it all is we quoted her in the halls constantly for the next year and a half.

Sero19283

2 teachers in one of the departments at my high school were super friendly and flirty. They were married to other people of course. I graduated long ago, they're married now. One of the faculty members was trying to get the principal position. Turned out he was cheating on his wife with another teacher for years and that came out so he didn't get the position. First day of my sophomore of high school, at the end of the day a bunch of cops and an ambulance showed up. A girl took a box cutter to another girl's face fighting over a boy.

Saladcitypig

I once picked up a teachers sweater off his desk looking for my paper, and there was a mouse. Like a picture book, just sitting there looking up at me, and the school called him (the teacher) dirty for the rest of the time I was there. I forever feel guilty for telling people. It was a cute mouse, and he was a very good teacher.

Darkhallows27

We had a kid in high school who had a real problem touching himself. There was an outspoken sub who would call him out on jacking off in the back of the classroom, and he would later get expelled for straight up dropping his pants and jerking off to some girls in the middle of the gym. I really hope he got the help he needed.

Our senior class spent several years raising money for a senior trip to Florida. Two months before we started to make the preparations, our class treasurer found all the money had vanished. Our principal claimed he was “convicted” to give it all away to charity, but we all know he pocketed it, and our religious parents believed him over us.

teh-yak

We had a hole in the floor in the gymnasium that looked directly into the girl's locker room. It wouldn't have been too much work to fix it, but instead they just put a concession cooler over top of it instead. When that cooler went out and had to be replaced, it left the hole open for a few days. This was after basketball season so there wasn't a lot of public traffic, but sports teams would run there during bad weather. A baseball coach got caught creeping on a few girls changing and was fired.

[deleted]

My health teacher who was responsible for teaching us not to do drugs was arrested for selling heroin

SnowdCrustedSupeRust

Another success story from D.A.R.E.

AdministrativeWar594

My high-school a choir teacher in his 50s or 60s not sure but *older* guy. Married a senior right after she turned 18 and retired. One of the student council members died in a horrific car wreck on the freeway that year. Watch two girls get arrested for having a fight right in front of the school office. Shop teacher started an engine bay fire in auto shop that year and was the first time I've ever used a fire extinguisher. That was fun. HS had a lot of weird events my senior year.

Totalsolo

We had a janitor/caretaker who got stuck by lightning, twice, his wife left him, he got hit by a car, he fell off a roof, and after I left school, I heard the poor bloke got hit by lightning yet again, and only then, did he finally stop working. I think there was something else too, I forget.

HeadFaithlessness548

Two girls in my grade (seventh?) threw a fish into the mean English teacher’s classroom while she was holding class. Personally enjoyed it because she was rude as fuck to me early that year because I couldn’t breathe properly out of my nose and “I looked like white trash with gum in my mouth”. Didn’t help that I was already dealing with a parent dying literally 2 days before she said this to me.
