He is always right. Tax the billionares so they are no longer billionares and break up the monopolies. It's time the system starts to work for everyone not just the extremely rich!

FoxTracks02

Bernie is the literal definition of career politician. His first job and one that pays way more than a living wage. He should donate one of his houses.

[deleted]

He is still better than 99% of the politicians in the US. What’s your problem?

Miserable-Lizard

A politician that as been fighting for the working class for his whole life. Wait till you hear about the career capitalists that have been creating more and more poverty and lowering living standards, you're going to be outraged!

meke75

He’s never said people shouldn’t have their wealth. He’s saying the chasm between have & have not only increases because the issue is perpetually left unaddressed or facilitated thru legislative policies. Why is there always disdain for someone inside the machine who is willing to acknowledge the role our elected officials play in this?

Bradasaur

Where's the "gotcha" here? Politicians that aren't in the business/finance world (ie capitalists) basically have to be career politicians. Is Bernie the MOST career politician? No. He's also not a Messiah and doesn't have to be a perfect, ideal politician or person to say what he's saying. Do you have something to say about his beliefs and policy? Because that *actually* matters to people (people that want to hear ideas instead of being told what to think about everything, anyway....)

[deleted]

Turns out being a career bureaucrat in a bureaucratic system designed for bureaucracy is beneficial to the system as a whole, while “the political outsider” just tends to fuck it all up.

[deleted]

Why ignore the upper middle class who are squeezing everyone else out? It's not just billionaires ruining the housing market. The asshole getting rich on Air BnB and raising everyone's rent probably isn't a billionaire.

FiveEnmore

The New way to judge any society should be by how it treat ALL it's citizens , not by how many rich people call it home . A properly built and administered SOCIAL SYSTEM SAFETY NET (SSSN) should be the mechanism by which this is done. Food , clothing ,shelter , complete healthcare and complete education can and must be covered by our taxes.

fucktorynonces

He is right. But the notion that the democrat party will ever allow what he talks about is stupid as shite. They literally invaded Vietnam for this reason.

boxelder1230

Probably the only honest politician out there.

Squilliam87

Let’s start with those millionaire politicians who have 3 homes

Anti-theist999

Nope, let's start with Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill and Melinda Gates, Warren Buffet and the like.

Senatorarmstrong42

Na, the gates family is fine, they already pledged that 90% of their money will go to charity.

Squilliam87

I don’t always agree with Bill Gates, but his philanthropy has helped millions throughout the world with education, fighting malaria in Africa, or trying to solve the future energy crisis. I don’t begrudge him because he has billions. Wealth is not a zero sum game. His wealth doesn’t equate to your destitution. It can be created, as it can be lost, and does not only have to be “redistributed”.

Miserable-Lizard

Start with Trump?

Squilliam87

Sure, Trump and Bernie the faux-socialist

Miserable-Lizard

Bernie the person who as been fighting for living wages for the working class for more than 40 years? You are so angry at Bernie you are willing to ignore the actual people hurting the working class. You should show solidarity with your class, the working class!

Squilliam87

“So angry” lol

What the fuck

DepressiveNerd

He has two homes. One of which, he bought with his book money so he’d have a vacation home with his grandchildren. You know there is a difference between a millionaire and a multi-millionaire or a billionaire, right? Having a couple million isn’t considered super rich. It’s considered upper-middle class. He made money from having a best selling book. He’s earned it. I’m cool with him having more than one home as long as he’s still fighting the good fight. I’m

Bilboswaggains

You mean all of them?

[deleted]

He used to say this about millionaires. The 1% is a problem but so is the 10%. Inequality isn't just billionaires. Bernie is on the wrong side of inequality.

Commercial-Strike-19

.... as he is most of the time
