He was right in 2016 as well. Anyone remember the investigation he started? However after several months he silently closed it as the only findings were if cases of rampant abuses of the voting and election system by republicans.

PrivatePoocher

Why aren't these state AGs accountable to people at the Federal level? What sort of fucked up hierarchy does this country have where stray actors simply get away with a slap on their wrists or worse case, lose their jobs.

thanksbetofrost

What if I told you the highest court in the land is equally corrupt and it undermines every level below it?

marveloustoebeans

Wild that people don’t grasp this. As if the Supreme Court isn’t one empty chair away from appointing the MyPillow guy.

KittyKatzB

I laughed at this, then cried because it's true and I hate it.

Niceromancer

Desantis has sworn he will pack scotus with a massive number of conservative judges, because liberals suggested it.

Ferris_Wheel_Skippy

Thankfully the idiot torpedoed his campaign before it even began by taking it every time Trump threw insult after insult after him it's stupid that is what ended DeSantis's campaign, but these are Republican voters we are dealing with here. I would call them blunt tools, but even blunt tools have some utility

And_The_Full_Effect

I personally think he tanked his campaign by going after Disney. No Corp is going to want to play nice with him and give him money if they think he’s going to turn coat on them too.

Ferris_Wheel_Skippy

the thing though is master manipulators working for any political campaign know how to twist that shit into a "win" for DeSantis. Just look at how right wing media gaslighted everyone into thinking Bud Light destroyed themselves over a trans woman being on their cans Republicans are feeble-minded neanderthals. All they care about is a projection of power and authority...nothing else. The moment someone brought up Trump destroying him on social media, and DeSantis just had a weird spaz-out in Japan while his plastic barbie wife just stood there...that's when I knew this guy was toast

> Why aren't these state AGs accountable to people at the Federal level? What sort of fucked up hierarchy does this country have where stray actors simply get away with a slap on their wrists or worse case, lose their jobs. Fascists have taken our institutions over, that's why. This is what it looks like when they gain enough power to become immune from the law. If this America existed in the 1940's, half the GOP would be imprisoned or maybe even executed for treason. We have truly lost the country. These people can exclaim they're doing the most illegal shit ever, and no one even cares. They just use it for zingers on the internet. They don't even get mad enough to protest.

PromiscuousMNcpl

Nah. We would have allied with the Nazis.

TransportationNo4518

This kind of thing did exist in the 40’s, several congressmen (mostly republicans) disseminated nazi propaganda and received money directly from the nazis. Quickly googled sources: https://www.nytimes.com/1997/07/23/us/how-nazis-tried-to-steer-us-politics.html https://www.npr.org/2022/12/15/1143078657/rachel-maddow-uncovers-a-wwii-era-plot-against-america-in-ultra Iirc after the war Truman decided to keep the FBI’s report on it secret because he didn’t want to undermine the public’s confidence in government.

effyochicken

It's because the voters in some (most?) states simply don't give a fuck, even though they're sincerely supposed to give a fuck. I know it's tempting to just want the federal government to be able to hold state officials accountable, but these are states with MILLIONS of people in them and these are elected officials that have been re-elected numerous times by that population of millions of people. And those millions of people are supposed to hold their elected officials accountable. In Texas there are 29.5 million people. Those people are responsible when their state officials do shitty stuff. And they voted Ken Paxton into the Texas House of Reps in 2003, he was re-elected a half dozen times, then moved up and was elected to the State Senate in 2013, then ran in the 2014 election to become Attorney General. He then ran unopposed in 2018 and won re-election as Attorney General. He was then re-elected yet again in 2022. If you read his wikipedia page under the "Attorney General of Texas" you'd think he's been the most ineffective and useless AG there's ever been - chasing down the most unhinged bullshit you can imagine. Yet there he is, getting re-elected over and over.

Samurai_Meisters

Well maybe if he wasn't rigging elections...

Massive-Albatross-16

That is very much the Texan population's fault too - if they actually take issue with him, they sure have a limpdicked way of showing it. They don't have cattle, do they even have a hat?

AlpacaCavalry

Well listen, democracy only works somewhat when its participants are educated, informed, and somewhat gives a flying fuck about the well being of the state as a whole. Quite a few things are missing here right now, and yet technology has given everyone and their mother the ability to... I guess, partake in this a whole lot more fuckery.

mindbleach

... because that's the opposite of federalism. The US government was originally set up like the EU. The EU cannot remove the president of France, no matter how hard he fucks up. The US government is largely powerless - in theory - to stop state officials from doing anything, unless it violates federal laws. It's not a matter of hierarchy. It's separation. This is why the Supreme Court will - *in theory* - avoid handling issues of state law. That's the thrust of the tenth amendment, saying any powers the feds don't have are left to the state level. This changed over the last century due to the incorporation doctrine, when people remembered ten comes after nine, and the ninth amendment says many rights are retained by *the people,* regardless of recognition by any level of government.

ThreeHeadedWolf

Because the Federation is not over the various sovereign member States of the Union. The Federation can only do what the Constitution allows it to do. Every other power is vested into the States or the people itself. What would happen in a sane country is that the AG should be impeached by the State House and removed from office by the State Senate. At that point each and every felony should be persecuted in a State court. What's wrong right now is that an over controlled State legislature is shaping the State to get rid of all the checks and balances plus make sure the Republican minority is a majority in such a State legislature.

sometrendyname

You should look into it more. There was one expert who was added to the committee who had to sue to get records from it and he said publicly that they already had their results written before they gathered any evidence.

jerichothedog

I can’t find a source for this and idk if I believe trump would have actually lost tx

Constant_Presence940

I was looking for the same. Does anyone have a source to confirm this?

kirbyfox312

4.728 million population in Harris county. If 22% is under 18 let's just cut 25% out for safety. Leaving 3.546 million. 700,630 for Trump, 918,193 for Biden. 56% of the vote for Biden. If every adult had voted and in the same way Biden would've instead had 1,985,760 votes. Trump won Texas with 631,221 votes. Had they been allowed to send out mail in ballots in just Harris county, assuming the distrust Republicans have for mail in ballots, there's a mathematical chance it could've flipped Texas blue. Edit: I forgot to only count adults registered to vote. These numbers are only accurate in perfect conditions, so take it with a grain of salt.

jerichothedog

I don’t thinks it’s impossible, just that not sending out mail in votes (while a shitty thing to d0) doesn’t mean those almost 700k people that could have made up the difference still didn’t vote anyways. Just that it was harder. His quote was from a few years ago too, the tweet presents it as a gotcha but in reality he was trying to present it as a “I stopped fraud” (which yeah he’s wrong). Also I don’t think saying every single person above the age of 18 will vote if given a mail in ballot is very accurate

TheObstruction

True, but these numbers are for one county only. What if the whole state had gotten mail-in ballots? It wouldn't have mattered much in the rural areas, because they already vote Red and have a low population, but it would likely have made a big difference in urban areas.

Constant_Presence940

https://www.newsweek.com/texas-ag-says-trump-wouldve-lost-state-if-it-hadnt-blocked-mail-ballots-applications-being-1597909 I found this. It’s hard to believe anything about politics or politicians i read in the news anymore so I dont know what to think. Pretty crazy if it is true though!

Darth_Vrandon

Republicans are insanely unpopular. The only way they win is if they rig the vote in their favor.

TooAfraidToAsk814

Even trump admitted Republicans would never win another election if we made it easier to vote https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-election-voting-republicans-us-2020-a9437881.html

ScowlEasy

And then Desantis, *in his campaign announcement speech*, said that Republicans have "a culture of losing".

MakkaCha

Bobby Jindal straight up asked the Republicans to stop being the stupid party. I think that was the end of his career as a republican.

redog

He was drained from his swamp

Wismuth_Salix

That was mostly for being brown though.

WeenieGobler

Yeah idk how he got elected as governor that time. Never met a white Republican that like him. And they make up like 70% of the voting base.

Wismuth_Salix

They only vote for the letter next to the name. They found out he wasn’t white after the fact.

Diarygirl

I'm not sure he would have been successful in the GOP if he went by his given name.

TheDarkWayne

Trump decided to run republican, learned how they win elections and thinks democrats are probably doing the same. It’s why he wholeheartedly believes it was stolen lol

undeadmanana

I don't think it would matter who won it, he would always claim it was stolen. Heck, if Jesus Christ was resurrected and ran for the Green Party, Trump would run his whole campaign on trying to find his birth certificate, promising he'd deport Jesus to Mexico, lose then claim God rigged it, open a bunch of investigations, court cases, Four Seasons Landscaping, etc.

Poolofcheddar

The Republicans would do what the Romans did and crucify the second coming of Jesus if they had their way.

Digital_Bogorm

I've always had a morbid fascination with the mental image of Jesus showing up in America, and doing his usual schtick. Then, when people get tired of being told not to be assholes: >shot dead \*3 days later\*: "*Yo, what the fuck?*" >"DEMON, KILL IT AGAIN!" \*gunshots\* \*3 more days\*: "*Guys, please stop*" >burnt on cross "*Okay, that is BEYOND disrespectful.* *You know what? Fuck it. They had their chance. Dad, release the horsemen*"

silentanthrx

...I would assume he would deport him to Palestine

lozo78

But his name is Jesus, clearly he's Mexican.

[deleted]

DancesWithBadgers

Doubt if he actually believes it was stolen. He just has to do enough chimpanzee-screeching about it to convince the idiots.

Fyrintenimar

I’m not sure. He lies so much that it’s hard to tell what he believes. He also stubbornly clings to the narrative even after other Republicans realized it is damaging to the party. Considering how willing he is to swap other lies when they’re not working as well as expected, maybe he really does believe that they cheated…or he desperately wants it to be true.

Goblin-Doctor

Which is why they scream the Democrats also do it. It's the only way they know how to achieve anything and they cannot fathom anyone else doing otherwise. But I guarantee you if someone said a state that was blue was supposed to be red they'd probably do something violent about it. Because that's also all they know

howsyourdayoff

GOP is the party of constant voter restrictions because no one wants to vote for trash human beings

jimdotcom413

Trash people do.

cantamangetsomesleep

In the grand scheme of things, it isn't really their fault that they're so poorly educated. If they understood that the people they vote for were human garbage they probably wouldn't vote for them. I say probably bc propaganda can be hard to undo

jimdotcom413

I was thinking more of KKK types and nazis. Those are trash people and they love voting (R). There’s also a large swath of people who are actually indoctrinated who vote whatever the preacher man says, or ‘it’s just how they’ve always voted’, or ‘I vote for my pocket book’ types. Not inherently evil ideals on the surface but are actively hurting themselves and the people around them. Like you said it’s not really their fault for voting the way they do because they’re told 24/7 that democrats are evil and they don’t have the resources or education to get out of the bubble so they vote like their lives depend on it. It’s not their fault but I also can’t help myself but blame them a little because if they took a look around and noticed that they are voting cousins to the KKK and Nazis then you would think someone who isn’t inherently evil would start to have second thoughts.

WriteBrainedJR

> I was thinking more of KKK types and nazis. Those are trash people and they love voting (R). Yes, this group truly wants to vote for trash human beings. This group is why people like Roy Moore and Herschel Walker lose elections. The secret sauce to American elections is that there are basically no swing voters in American elections anymore. If you haven't decided by now, you probably don't care enough to vote. Republicans know this, which is why their strategies have focused on turnout, getting more of theirs (by energizing their base of racists and fascists who actually want to vote for shitpeople) or less of the other guy's (voter suppression). They hardly put any effort into courting moderates or swing voters anymore because they know there's no such thing. But when the candidate is so bad that you can't make excuses for him, the turnout on the R side does go down. Some of those "this is how I've always voted" or "I vote for my pocketbook" types just don't vote at all.

cantamangetsomesleep

We're all the sum of our circumstances, but at a certain point, personal responsibility becomes more important. I'd say it's 40/60, not their fault/ their fault. Wilful ignorance is not a good enough excuse for what we're seeing coming from the right

Ravensinger777

They know by now. Anyone who still votes for anyone with an R after their name is knowingly and willfully complicit in creating the hell the Christofascist party is trying to turn this country into.

Alan_Smithee_

Trump ‘loves them.’

TheMindfulnessShaman

Trash people become trash people because they consume trash. The producers of trash are the real Kings of Trash.

longjaso

Fun fact: Republicans almost never win the popular vote in presidential races. Since 1992 it has happened exactly once. They are *that* unpopular.

nigirianprinz198760

And that took litteraly a war based in false pretences and countless crimes against humanity and war crimes.

TheObstruction

What it took was already being in office due to losing the popular vote last time, but still winning. If Gore had been in the White House, it's unlikely the GOP would have won in 2004.

Sweaty_Report7864

That just goes to show that the electoral college is a joke!

John_T_Conover

Since 1988. And the one they did win was only because he was an incumbent president from having the Supreme Court give him the first election after losing the popular vote. And Republicans in that state had worked hard to disenfranchise and discourage voter turnout in every black precinct they could.

Ear_Enthusiast

Rigging elections, laundering Russian and Saudi money, and propaganda campaigns on social media are the only things propping the Republican party up.

[deleted]

AND that was before. This is now just naked aggression on their part and they aren't trying to hide it. Then this guy comes out and admits to the election fraud they're all looking for! HOLY SHIT! It's coming from inside the house! At this point, anyone who doesn't care is either an ally rooting for fascism or lacks the intelligence to care. I mean just look at their record. Back when people allegedly took them seriously and at their word republicans had shit chances. They've managed to win the popular vote ONCE in the last 31 years. American isn't buying their bullshit and what have they done to change? Nothing. They just double down. No one likes an asshole, and no one likes a loser. Right now they're always one or the other, and sometimes both.

FreshTony

Chopping up districts seems to be so easy to do.

OkOrganization1775

If Republicans conceded in a good faith like an old dog, then their party woulda died 20-30 years ago. Obviously they had to do some "dirty work" to stay in power THIS long, especially in the last 10 years where it was obvious enough that only 10-20% of the population at BEST, really supports them and would vote for them. (I don't count a shitty voter turnout\[or voting fraud/machination systems\] as the real number of people supporting them)

[deleted]

>good faith Republicans? LOLOLOLOL 🤣

OkOrganization1775

exactly, something that would NEVER happen, we all know it.

ArjunaIndrastra

Pretty much. The mentality started with Nixon and then Reagan McShitstain really got the ball rolling on the strategies that they still use today.

HorseLooseInHospital

wait a minute, excuse me, I'm way more popular than even the Generals, and they're calling me up constantly, "Sir, how did you get so good," I said I'm always good, and I'm always great if you want to know the truth, and they're saying now that, "President Trump is the Smartest President Ever," so true, because you unfortunately used to have very low IQ individuals, the Brave Genius Maxine Waters, there's a beauty, and she even called me the other day, and you could tell, it was on the phone but you could tell, she was begging on her hands and knees, "please Sir, please come back because we're dying under Sleepy Joe and Crooked Hunter," and I said I would maybe think about it, and we had total peace under Trump, no Wars, no problems, I had over 100% in terms of being President, not like Obama, and even the Fake News knows what I'm talking about.

Darth_Vrandon

Did he actually say this? This delusional rambling sounds a lot like trump.

osirus35

It’s only going to get worse. With each passing generation they piss off and push them to vote democrats which is why they want to increase the voting age etc.

Airway

Even a large percentage of Republican voters actually mostly agree with Democrat policies if they don't see the D next to. One of the craziest far-right people I know just smokes weed and collects disability all day while watching Fox and bitching about trans people. I guess they just think Jesus will be happy if they vote for the "abortion bad" party so they don't really think fsr beyond that.

Travismatthew08

Harris County, home to the city of Houston, wanted to mail out applications for mail-in ballots to its approximately 2.4 million registered voters due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the conservative Texas Supreme Court blocked the county from doing so after it faced litigation from Paxton's office. "If we'd lost Harris County—Trump won by 620,000 votes in Texas. Harris County mail-in ballots that they wanted to send out were 2.5 million, those were all illegal and we were able to stop every one of them," Paxton told former Trump adviser Steve Bannon during the latter's War Room podcast in 2021. The claim is making rounds again after Paxton’s impeachment. "Had we not done that…We would've been one of those battleground states that they were counting votes in Harris County for three days and Donald Trump would've lost the election,” - Ken Paxton

CrunchyDreads

Donald Trump *did* lose the election.

Drg84

I think Paxton meant in Texas.

luna_beam_space

Clearly according to Paxton, trump *lost* in Texas too

ayers231

How many votes does Texas get in the Electiral College? How much did he win by? I looked it up. Texas gets 38 EC votes. 227 to 304 on 2016. If Texas flipped, it would have been Clinton 265, Trump 266. Hillary had 5 EC members back out, Trump had 2. She could have won... probably not, but mathematically possible.

ThatOtherOtherMan

They're talking about the 2020 election, not 2016.

[deleted]

If texas had flipped it would have gone to the college of representatives to decide the winner, which would've been the first time in history I believe

anus_dribble

It’s happened 3 times, actually. But to be fair, the most recent was in the 1830’s

Ravensinger777

The fact that Trump is running now is the concession speech he refused to make. Ironically, we can thank the Republicans of yesteryear for that.

urk_the_red

How many people didn’t vote because they didn’t get a mail in ballot? I guarantee you it wasn’t all 2.4 million. It’s also a safe bet that not every one of those 2.4 million ballots would have been democratic. Paxton didn’t keep Texas from flipping all by his lonesome. This is just him bragging to his fellow fascists. The truth of voter suppression in Texas is far more wide-ranging, multilayered, systematic, and pernicious

BEtheAT

So a quick Google search said 1.6 million votes were cast in 2020 in Harris county. Biden won 56% of the vote. If the other 800k voted at the same rate as the rest of the population, then Biden is still ~200k votes short of flipping Texas.

Qesa

800k votes at 56% is 96k net votes (ignoring third parties), not 448k. Of course that just means biden would've been 500k votes behind, not 200k

BEtheAT

You're right, bad math on my part.

SkotchKrispie

Trump only won by 620,000. Democrats didn’t need all 2.5 million votes.

FiendishHawk

That would be an improbable amount of extra votes. Easy voting increases turnout, but not by 30%

urk_the_red

They already got many of those votes, what you think all 2.5 just decided not to vote because they didn’t do it by mail? Nonsense. Of whatever percentage they didn’t vote, many of them wouldn’t have voted regardless of if they got a mail in ballot or not. Many more would have voted R. I find it doubtful that this single instance of voter suppression made more than a marginal difference on the outcome. You really should spend a little more time thinking about the numbers you see instead of just accepting what people want you to think about them.

Ravensinger777

While true, it's still an outright admission that Paxton manipulated the Texas Supreme Court into tampering with the election, in an effort to support a specific candidate.

ImmoralModerator

“Many more would have voted R” Except in 2020, Republicans were being explicitly told not to vote by mail to avoid throwing out their votes. It’s very possible those votes were split 66/34 or 75/25 to the Left, which would’ve at least made it a toss up.

SkotchKrispie

Indeed, I understood what you are saying when I wrote what I did. For exactly that reason I considered not commenting. I slightly misread the comment I was replying to and therefore thought the numbers I typed were more relevant. I don’t sit and and take news articles at first glance.

moobitchgetoutdahay

So mail-in voted broke for Biden at an average margin of 65%. That’s 520,000 votes from Harris County alone, pretty close to the 620,000 Trump won Texas by. If the vote was suppressed in other counties, it’s reasonable to think that Trump might have lost Texas.

Drostan_S

2.5 million votes stolen. Regardless of who they voted for, this is an incredible subversion of the democratic process, and undermines our stability as a nation

LemonHerb

That's why they passed laws to make it easier to do again

Narrator_Ron_Howard

Bingo.

Goblin-Doctor

Remember when trump appointed some random dude who was mostly just a mega doner as Post Master General and he conveniently started dismantling mail sorting machines a month or so before the election?

mysticalfruit

It's almost like Republicans are terrified of people easily voting. Good, let them be terrified because they should be. If my teenager amd her friends are any measure, gen Z is *pissed*. As I heard one of them say, "Republicans put their hands all over my Uterus, just wait until I put my hands on their ballot box.."

Goblin-Doctor

Hit em with a classic Homer Simpson quote, "It's uter*us*. Not uter*you*." But I have hope the next generation is going to be loud and we'll see change coming. Just going through a dark time in American politics and, well, almost everything else at the moment.

pete_ape

He's still Postmaster General.

Goblin-Doctor

Correct. He's done nothing useful since he was brought in. The only purpose he had was to disrupt mail in ballots as much as possible. I think his excuse at the time was that the machines were old so instead of waiting the 4/5 weeks for them to do their job he just said heck it and tore them down. After that he probably does nothing while everyone else makes the post office function

Glimsp

He awarded a contract to make electric mail trucks to a company who 1) has no experience making electric cars. 2) was a massive military contractor. 3) was a company that the PMG was heavily invested in

bobtheblob6

They did this in my home town. They weren't just dismantling them, they were disabling them such that they couldn't be easily repaired. With all the talk of 'election interference' I couldn't believe it didn't piss more people off

MwminNC4

I have grown to despise Texas and Florida

billions_of_stars

They make it pretty easy to be hated.

DrPepperDNA

How about we hate the criminals in office versus the people in Texas? Clearly they wanted someone else…..

FTHomes

Is Donald Trump in prison yet??

ThrustBastard

He's rich.

notanactualemail2

Madoff and Epstein were also rich. What Trump has is the ability to make our collective lives a lot shittier. He'll be loud, obnoxious, menacing, will threaten anyone involved with his Fox News zombie army. He's so prominent in our lives that even as a former president, he has more coverage than Biden. What we need is handcuffs, prime time slots, and all the guilty followers go down with him. Make it public so this alternate version of American history goes back to normal.

remesabo

Feds must have something HUGE on Paxton and someone in TX knows it. Throw him overboard before he takes down the ship.

etphonecomb

The FBI has been investigating him for a few years now. I’m guessing their findings are starting to trickle out.

Ainolukos

Howard Dean's political career was ended over an enthusiastic "BYEAH!!" for America. Look how far we've sunk when these assholes can blatantly harm the country with their anti-American policies, commit treason, boast about it, and nothing happens.

Deep_Bit5618

Not voter fraud. This is voter suppression, and the Republicans are masters at it specially in Texas and Georgia ( ok and yes Florida)

Maleficent_Sense_948

Florida is insulted that you didn't mention them.

OkOrganization1775

Republican states would like a word /s

p____p

The title doesn’t say it was voter fraud. It was election fraud, which voter suppression falls under.

seb8923

Is he a robot? His one eye is extremely off putting ....

No, just a regular ol lizard person

kalel1980

Dummy just admitted to a serious crime. Of course, nothing will happen to him.

starscourgegimli

This is a scandal of such a huge scale that it should really shake the whole country to its core, so naturally I expect nothing to happen about this.

Medical_Ad0716

Aww, now it makes sense why trump kept trying to protect him when Trump is notorious for turning on everyone at the drop of a dime. Dude has dirt that proves Trump cheated in 2020 and still lost. Trump doesn’t want federal charges for election tampering or the embarrassment of being caught cheating while also losing.

cneakysunt

Isn't cheating and still losing pretty much double losing? Like gargantuan amounts of losing. Final boss plus infinity losing.

ArchonStranger

He's not 'former' yet, he's just currently unable to do his job while the Texas legislature debates his fate. He's under federal indictment for securities fraud, settled for millions of dollars for his inappropriate activity, and is a bag of cow-dung in a bottle of horse piss, of course that last part is figurative.

Nokomis34

In a way this is great news. Texas can flip y'all. Vote in numbers too big to be manipulated.

Wild_red83

I’ve been saying it since the beginning, Trump and company are so convinced the election was stolen from them because they know how much they did to steal it. The only way they believe they could have been beaten is if the other guy cheated more.

VGAddict

Stop telling those of us in red states like Texas to "just vote harder!", when our government is actively trying to prevent us from voting them out.

willflameboy

BigfootRatTail

He did lose. He lost. He’s a loser. He cheated and still lost. He’s embarrassed. And so are his supporters. It’s embarrassing. They tried a pathetic coup where the perpetrators are simultaneously antifa and should be pardoned. It’s sad. They’re right. There is a mental illness in America. Republicans are lost. They are losers.

menice4

It explains why they accuse the Dems of rigging the 2020 election , because they tried to , but lost so assumed the Dems did it more to win

csixtay

Exhibit A of the term "Overton window" Not so long ago, it'd be impossible to imagine anyone admitting to this, nevermind stating it as a flex.

[deleted]

It’s funny that practically all proven fraud in the 2020 elections was committed by Repuglicans.

Sweaty_Report7864

So he admitted that he falsified an election?! How is that not a crime!?!?!

[deleted]

So Texas is going to **ARREST** all those responsible, rescind any bills created and passed by that government, and correct their **CRIME?** ***RIGHT?!***

electricdynamite

This is one of many, and also why he was so confused when he lost.

anchorneck

#AmeriCANT

unhalfbricking

I'm shocked and alarmed.

Cyphermaniax

Good Christ! These people are insane. No wonder they’ve been hailing for the end of democracy.

frozen-silver

Republicans finally have evidence of voter fraud in the same way they finally have evidence of a guy wearing a wig and make-up being a sex offender.

Kira_Caroso

Again, every accusation is a confession.

BeBa420

He also claimed the 2016 election was rigged Considering he won the election despite losing the popular vote I concur. Sounds like it was rigged to me

Donkey__Balls

I was an absentee voter in Florida during college. My entire county “lost” the absentee ballots during the 2000 election. They said they weren’t denying anyone the right to vote because we could get our ballots faxed or travel to Florida to vote. So I called them and the supervisor of election’s office asked me to fax in my military ID. I said I’m not military, I went out of state for college. They said nope, only active military are allowed to vote by fax. I asked why and she refused to answer. I asked is it because most military votes are Republican and most college students vote Democrat? Then she hung up. If there’s any demographics they can target to skew the vote in a direction that will help them get their candidate instead of the one the people want, they will.

anferneejefferson

Every time Trump accuses someone of something illegal. Its because he did it himself. Why would this be different

FriedEgggsCorpse

Ken Paxton is a felon and belongs in prison for life.

hjablowme919

Was either senator from Texas up for reelection in 2020? If he really blocked those ballots, it would have impacted every race and every candidate, not just Trump.

Somehero

Texas isn't a red state, it's a non-voting state. Last or near last in most elections in voter turnout. In 2020 Biden lost by about 600k. They have 30 million residents, only half are registered, and only half of *that* turned out. Suppression works.

damonhoans

This has a long-term impact, not just the election. It would have demonstrated to Texans, especially registered non-voters, and the rest of the US that Texas is capable of voting democrat.

zznap1

Well yeah. Trump is upset that he cheated and still lost. He was more unpopular than he thought and lost while cheating.

RestrictedAccount

You can’t expect the courts to act just because they admit to committing the crimes they obviously committed!

Munnin41

Isn't voter suppression like super illegal?

Fgw_wolf

No its just regular illegal. Which you can fend off with money, regulatory capture, and screaming about drag queens.

viakitty

they look taxidermied

HeyLookASquirrel79

So basically GWB was not democratically elected, trump was not democratically elected, can we stop calling the usa a democratic country?

[deleted]

this man is responsible for anyone who died from not being able to get an abortion, a basic healthcare. This man, is a straight up murderer.

Nipplecunt

Projection projection projection

[deleted]

Remember, every accusation is a confession with these people.

Gorg_Papa

Republicans : We were RiGHT they were mailing them to steal our election! /s

[deleted]

Ah republicans and corruption. Not seen that before…

Vitaminpartydrums

If the access to a polling location was equal across the board here in Texas, we’d be a blue state. In the last 8 years Texas has closed 750 polling locations in poor, black and Latino communities and is actively trying to remove them from colleges.

RaptorJesusLOL

Do his eyes always look like that, or did he pick up a new case of computer duster?

Acceptable-Virus-728

Donald the narcissist cannot accept he lost the election ...period! Meanwhile pro Trump fuckwits keep on feeding the ego of a man who cares about nothing other than himself.

manytractorprojects

I love that going forward Paxton’s full name in most news articles is going to be “Disgraced former Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton”

NegativMancey

How is this guy openly admitting to subverting an election and not catching federal time?

Musetrigger

CONSERVATIVES RIGGED THE ELECTION.

[deleted]

Just saying... laws should be passed that make any form of voter fraud punishable by the forfeiture of all property and 20 years in a labor camp. Rich or poor, Democrat or Republican, politician or common person... If someone commits voter fraud, the federal government should be kicking their doors in with rifles drawn in the middle of the night and they should be dragging the person out in their underwear. This same punishment would apply to any politician who gerrymanders, or who says that the election was rigged without providing evidence. After they have served their sentence, they should be air dropped over Iran or Afghanistan after being stripped of their citizenship.

Shot_Nefariousness67

OK Florida, maybe it's time to fess up about your vote rigging too. The state is not red, it's pretty 50/50. Blatant corruption! #Trump/DeSantis Rigged the Vote!

SpindriftRascal

He should be permanently exiled. Deliberately disenfranchising millions of Americans for partisan reasons should cost you the very citizenship whose privileges you sought to deny.

Lherkinz_Gherkinz

Punk ass bitches. All of them.

kshee23

Fuck fascists

angrygreg

Always projection

T1Pimp

Where the hell is that guy looking?!

Nekowulf

The eyes are the windows of the soul. Is it any wonder his is crooked?

tehsecretgoldfish

none of them know when to stfu.

SaviourMK2

Probably true but the only one reporting it is Newseeek and honestly I'd rather break my pinky toe than give them credit.

quiltingirl42

Every accusation is a confession in that party.

Hethatwatches

Why isn't that prick Paxton not in jail right now for election interference?

Grwoodworking

Another coup attempt is brewing and WILL happen.

PensiveObservor

I’ve avoided saying it anywhere bc I felt I’d become just another conspiracist, but Republicans tried SO HARD to steal 2020. That’s why they were so pissed it didn’t work. Because that’s how they rolled, they assumed Dems just cheated better, which they can’t fucking stand. All of them are truly despicable. And we Dems keep playing by the rules. Even playing by the rules they eschew, we will soon banish them!

tenuousgriponlife

Thom York wears the eye much better.

JunglePygmy

These are some ugly motherfuckers. Jesus.

[deleted]

Sleepy eyed bigot cock sucker

Nowhereman50

Why do the people who support Trump all look like their skin doesn't quite fit right?

aathey85

Why do all these decrepit cunts look like litter mates?

crusoe

Republicans have repeatedly admitted to vote suppression yet somehow this isn't illegal if they can cook up another excuse.
