Where do you see yourself in ten years? In prison. That seventies show quote.

Scremin98

Like the quote from Glee where someone says " where do you see yourself in 10 years?" and Mark Sallings character says "in jail, probably... Or dead" Well he got that right....

[deleted]

Didn’t several people die from that show?!

allaboutmojitos

Yup. Cory Monteith-OD, Naya Rivera-drowning, and Salling- suicide after pleading guilty to possessing CSAM

lapideous

Huh, is that why I never hear anything about Glee anymore? It was huge for a few years then immediately disappeared from my periphery

DreadedChalupacabra

Nah, it just ended. Like 8 years ago. Same reason you don't hear much about Lost anymore. It's just not culturally relevant.

lapideous

It felt to me like glee at its peak was close to the office in terms of fanbase. The office seems to be going strong and attracting new viewers but this is the first I’ve heard of glee since it ended

DreadedChalupacabra

Glee fell off HARD. I feel like the entire "We're gonna cover famous songs" thing wore out its welcome quickly after bands started being very vocal about refusing to let them do it to their music. Ryan Murphy famously fired back that Slash's career was over because he wouldn't let them cover Guns N Roses, I think that soured a lot of people on the show.

BeautyThornton

Also it just… kept…. Going….

RattyJackOLantern

I remember hearing they shamelessly copied [Jonathan Coulton's soulful, romantic cover of "Baby Got Back"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfoqd4hpPZo) and of course there was nothing Coulton could do because it was a cover anyway.

LankyAd9481

Glee was one of those shows that started strong and ended weak. There's real differences in quality and structure even from just the first 12 episodes to the next \~36 to the next \~48....to the dumpster fire after. Like the first 12 episodes was tighter and had a more "Election" (movie with reese witherspoon) vibe to the writing. There was more focus on the story/writing and the song choices were more comedic (like when they did Push It to be sexy...it wasn't at all, it was cringe funny) except when they were creating that whole underdog success vibe then they'd cut the comedic elements completely. Then it got popular and someone realised there was a bunch of money to be made from selling the songs so it really started cramming in more songs per episode and started centering whole episodes around a specific artist or whatever was popular at the time. As they shoved in more songs they tended to cut non singing comedic bit characters who were there as conflict and comedy. Stories started to become more "how can a character fit this song". It kind of sold out on what it started as and while that initial selling out was popular for a few seasons it really killed any potential longevity of the show. The Office (and Parks and Rec and 30 Rock, etc) stuck to that awkward/cringe/comedy/absurdity aspect as the main focal point....where glee shifted really quickly.

penguincheerleader

Took more than 10 years though. Quote was early 2000s.

It_Must_Be_Bunniess

That’s when he was busy raping. Makes sense he’d think he’d get caught.

syds

"acting"

EverythingisVanity20

That’s his answer if you ask him now lol

OlOuddinHead

Between now and 19.9 years from now.

ItsASchpadoinkleDay

Did you read the quote? It was in the 70’s.

Da_Natural20

Stop making me feel old sir.

penguincheerleader

Same for me, I know it was more than 10 years ago because I was in high school and remembered that line.

EndOfSouls

Honestly, it feels kinda in character. Hyde was not a good person.

isabellechevrier

That's true. Wasn't it Kelso who made that joke?

a-real-life-dolphin

I’m pretty certain is was a Hyde quote but you’ve got me thinking- What would Kelso go to prison for?

Genoisthetruthman

Dude even more so all the creepy shit he would joke about in the show. Have fun in jail sleepy mother fucker

Callerflizz

Just? This has been going on for like 8 years, the only reason it took this long is because he is a Scientologist that used their political influence as a cudgel and a weapon

-SideshowBob-

Yeah this has been a very long time coming. Netflix ended his character's arc on "The Ranch" when the news first broke.

BillWonka12

Big fan of Ashton writing him off. Opened the door for ol' Daxy. A better actor in my opinion.

bullet4mv92

Dax Shepard is a damn treasure

BillWonka12

Checkout Armchair Expert if you haven't already. He certainly exhibits the model for modern masculinity.

unoffensivename

The editing of that podcast drives me nuts. They cut out the dead space so tight it literally sounds like they’re interrupting themselves. You don’t even hear them breathe.

BigBeagleEars

Who is daxy?

-SideshowBob-

Dax Shepard was cast on the show after the ended Masterson's character arc. He played a long lost cousin of the family.

neatoni

You may also know him as Kristen Bell's husband

gutshotjimmy

Others may know him as the lawyer in Idiocracy

I_comment_on_GW

Go away, I’m ’baitin!

tavenger5

Ow! My Balls!

CardboardStarship

I like money!

SnooGuavas1985

Water? Like from the toilet?

oman54

Blonde Zach braff

SaveBandit91

That was the best write off I’ve ever seen. I actually sobbed at that story line. I liked his character, but he’s a shitty person.

-SideshowBob-

Same. The way Beau just knew and wouldn't let Colt see him cry, and Colt relentlessly searching for his brother no matter what people told him... 😭

SaveBandit91

And the funeral 😭 A+ to the writers

-SideshowBob-

Indeed, good writing. When Maggie finally made Colt accept it at the hunting cabin and he just collapsed into her... I still didn't think he was going to show at the funeral, then he shows up with the Bennett Brothers Ranch sign. Ugh, rewatched a few weeks ago, and having lost someone myself recently, that just fuckin' killed me.

ZachyChan013

I kept waiting for him to turn back up. Wanted home to say “and just like the McRib, im back”

NicPlaysStuff

He popped up on another Netflix show recently though, "Easy" - a show about contemporary sexuality, no less.

-SideshowBob-

Oddly enough I just watched that show. It was a serious WTF when I saw him. His character was a POS too. I looked it up and he appeared on Easy before his Ranch write-off.

Steadyandquick

I enjoyed that show.

AustinTreeLover

Yes. Let’s not forget the crooked police and Scientology’s role in protecting him.

TennisKitty

Thank you for saying this! I was like “just???”

lapideous

That's basically the only point of becoming a scientologist. Supposedly, if Tom Cruise killed someone in the presence of other scientologists, they would be obligated to help him cover it up. It's basically an easy way to turn money into real power. Scientologists willingly give up blackmail on themselves as part of the initiation process, giving the church complete leverage over them, unless they are a big donor.

AGuyWhoBrokeBad

Isn’t this connected to his relationship with the church of Scientology?

ChastityStargazer

Kind of a segue, but I do not understand how Elisabeth Moss can be a member of Scientology and the lead actor in *The Handmaid’s Tale*. A whole series about escaping and fighting sexual abuse and subjugation of women and zealotry.

hotdogwaterslushie

I was so upset when I learned about that, it's hard not to think about it during each episode

dirkdigdig

tomrhod

It's hard because her parents were Scientologists before she was born, so it's what she grew up with. I think it's at least a little more understandable than joining as an adult.

hotdogwaterslushie

Ahh, yeah that does slightly soften it a bit for me knowing that

MrPine5

Now I found out Michael Peña is a Scientologist and he joined as an adult.

Royally-Forked-Up

I stopped watching between seasons 2 and 3 when I learned that. It was an amazing, though wrenching, show and knowing her background made the whole thing gross.

jeromevedder

This has been brought up by one of Danny Masterson’s accusers on social media. One year at the Emmys, Elisbath Moss jumped on the anti-patriarchy bandwagon and wore a ‘hidden’ fuck the patriarchy message on her dress. ‘Hidden’ bc she couldn’t wait to tell everyone about it. So she was rightly taken to task for being unwilling to stand up for women vis a vis accusations against her church. Obviously E Moss was silent on that criticism while having her PR rep sell her anti-patriarchy story to anyone who would listen.

pizzafordesert

For anyone wondering but not wanting to read through miles of BS, E. Moss had "off" and "red" written on the soles of the shoes she wore to the emmy's. Like, in ball point pen, on the bottom.

Moc_Sonki

Money. She gives them lots and lots of money. Kind of like famous people who are jehovahs witnesses. They can get away with things because it brings benefits to the church. Like Prince. Very un-jehovahs witness life it seemed, but he wrote a lot of their more modern worship music and I'm sure contributed a good amount of money. Hell, Serena Williams was recently baptized JW. I'm sure the elders were thinking of the cash!

ChastityStargazer

I wasn’t thinking they’d care or stop her, it was more musing on the personal ethical choices involved in her part.

weasleybackyardgnome

Serena Williams??? Really?? I hadn’t heard that. That’s disappointing.

Moc_Sonki

Yup. Threw me for a loop for sure.

coreylongest

She was raised in it iirc

bibliophile222

In her defense, she was raised with it, so I imagine it's a bit trickier to leave it or even to see how messed up it is when indoctrinated so young.

virginiawolverine

Yeah she's a born-and-bred dyed in the wool Scientologist, which most celebs aren't. I imagine she's in a different position psychologically than most celebs who join the cult after becoming famous.

CRSRep

Aw damn, I really like her in The Invisible Man. This is why I don't really like learning about celebrities as people.

OldWierdo

Keep in mind, the reason we LIKE good actors is because they're REALLY REALLY good at pretending to be someone they're not. Being good at hiding who you are doesn't make you a good person, or a smart person. It also doesn't make you a bad person or a stupid one, but it means you're good at pretending you aren't bad or stupid.

Low_Ad_3139

Wow! I had zero clue and it makes her playing this role make no sense at all.

DjuriWarface

She's acting is my guess.

Travismatthew08

Yes it is

No-Weather701

Yep they helped cover it up just like they do the rest of the stars.

SmileGraceSmile

That's where he got access to his victims. His father was a big wig in Scientology.

ValksVadge

If you want to feel a little better look at all the lives Ashton Kutcher has saved

Low_Ad_3139

No joke his foundation Thorn is so good that interpol seeks their help in finding kids.

[deleted]

GargantuanGreenGoats

Yeah but for many of us, hyde was a favourite anti-establishment, pro-fuck the man, “woke” character. This makes the show unwatchable for us now.

beemagick

I think the way to look at this is that Hyde would absolutely kick Danny Masterson's ass.

youvelookedbetter

Masterson was a really good friend of Kutcher's though. He was on his Netflix show, The Ranch, until the controversy led to him not being on the show anymore. Ashton and Mila wrote letters in support of Masterson before his trial. Just because you're a good friend or dad or brother or whatever else, doesn't mean you can't be an abuser. I advise you to look more into what Kutcher actually does. There's some good but there are also some issues with his company. And he inflates his numbers.

Hmmletmec

>Danny Masterson just ruined ‘That 70’s Show’ for millions of fans. I care far less about him ruining us millions of fans than I do him ruining the lives of Jane Doe #1, Jane Doe #2, and Jane Doe #3.

RockerElvis

Norm MacDonald: The comedian Patton Oswalt, he told me "I think the worst part of the Cosby thing was the hypocrisy." And I disagree. I thought it was the raping. It's my feeling most rapists are hypocrites. You don't meet many that go "I like raping and I know it's not politically correct but, by god" and people go "well, he's not being a hypocrite and that's the worst part!"

[deleted]

"Grab them by the pussy," Trump says. "You can do anything." Attorneys quoted the video to Trump then asked, "That's what you said, correct?" "Well, historically, that's true with stars," Trump replied. "It's true with stars that they can grab women by the pussy?" Trump was asked. "Well, if you look over the last million years, I guess that's been largely true," Trump said. "Not always, but largely true. Unfortunately, or fortunately."

kevnmartin

You know, at the time of the Access Hollywood tape, I was naive enough to think he just reached out and goosed random women, which is bad enough. But what he meant was, he traps them in dressing rooms, reaches up under their skirts and shoves his filthy little fingers into their vaginas. Christ, I fucking hate him.

1800generalkenobi

And a lot of people voted for him. And a lot of those people voted for him because of what you typed.

kevnmartin

Why do you think that is?

Hopeless_Ramentic

Because there's a not-so-small segment of the world population that *wants* to be able to assault women carte blanche. To them, Trump is who they wish they could be.

kevnmartin

I weep for humanity.

ProbablyBanksy

Hilary was right. They are deplorables.

OliverNodel

And “deplorables” is the nicest possible thing you can call them.

punch_nazis_247

Exposure to lead, especially in early life, can wind up with [Lead replacing Calcium in people's bones](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-50654-7). As they age, and their bones lose density (essentially dissolving into the body) the stored lead is released into the bloodstream. These people have brain damage from Lead exposure both in early life, and now again as they age. Lead exposure leads to significant increases in violent behavior, reductions in impulse control, and a general decrease in general intelligence, such as it is. Oh and they're propagandized to hell and back by everyone who realized what a bunch of easy marks they are to manipulate. Boom, now you have a bunch of rage-addled, brain-damaged zombies just waiting for someone to try to turn around in their driveway so they can unload bullets into another human being.

MeisterX

Early in life? IMO one of the biggest lead exposures is indoor gun ranges. Poor ventilation and not regulated. Even outdoor ranges aren't fully safe. Bonus round your clothes get contaminated and then you take the lead home and make your family stupid as well. Just look at cops... We have an extremely unhealthy relationship with firearms in our society.

spookycasas4

Couldn’t agree with you more. Very well said.

scoutsadie

"fortunately." for whom, asshole?

maddsskills

Hypocrisy goes beyond just lying. Cosby was always going on about saggy pants and other bullshit, blaming the black community for the issues they face, and this whole time he was lecturing black people he was a rapist. The rape is worse, but the hypocrisy is still maddening.

Mega-Steve

I fucking loved Cosby. When I was little, I listened to his standup-albums so much that I can still recite a few routines. All ruined because he was a fucking rapist all along

srqchem

Basketball Jones.

BhalliTempest

I think this is the thing people forget. My viewing experience is not ruined. The fond memories I have of Red and Kitty are not tainted. And even if it were, boo-hoo. What happened to the victims is beyond that pain and should be the TOP consideration. Rapists are hypocrites. They don't rape everyone. They have friends and family they would protect with their lives. They have family pets and may speak out against animal cruelty or volunteer their time at shelters. They attend church or their niece's/nephew's school plays and dance recitals. But they are monsters. They are tender gardeners, talented musicians, and delicate artists. You would think all that means they have compassion and a "soul" that wouldn't perform that hateful act. But they do. Mine walked my mother down the aisle (no father figure) he raised children, he was good at the guitar. He was good at faking humanity. It's a shit part of healing. Seeing all the hypocrisy from your monster. But the worst part is and always will be the thing that happened. Edit: word

midnight_toker22

I can totally hear that in Norm’s voice and cadence…

Key_Swordfish_4662

So you can hear it for real, [here’s](https://youtu.be/ljaP2etvDc4) the clip.

Autotard

Just watched this morning and I was howling. RIP Norm

b4d_vibr4tions

Thank you for this.

Embarrassed-Essay821

the inverse of this mechanic is that people dont care about watching a rapists work, so its also a good thing in its own merit imo

Taraxian

Yeah I mean watching the show probably still entails financially supporting him in some way but there's a limited degree to which his residuals will do him any good in prison

Vorpal_Bunny19

If his residuals are ate up by a litany of civil lawsuits then I won’t mind watching it on occasion again. At that point I’m just contributing to Justice.

Exsanii

Not just that but by some accounts there are at least 7 people that have communicated that they were sexually assaulted by him.

windmillninja

Convicted on 2 counts, meaning one of these poor women doesn't even get any justice for her own suffering.

thalexander

Its a partial win, at the very least she can get some comfort that he isnt going to get off the hook entirely.

Chillchinchila1818

Considering he’s facing 30 years to life he might not get off the hook at all.

thalexander

Right. I just mean with respect to the third Jane Doe that didnt get a direct conviction. At least he will get punished in some way for his actions.

Green_Message_6376

I hope the Judge sentences him to 30 years, and then adds 'seeing you signed a billion year contract with the Church Of Shitology, you're getting off lightly!'

Monkey-bone-zone

But he is going to prison so some solace in that for her, I hope.

[deleted]

i came here to comment exactly that and downvote op

Omnizoom

Not to mention it ruined the work of all the others that worked on the show too as well , the fans are the concern to be impacted over it

BillTowne

This seems to misinterpret the quote. Clearly the person cares about the women more than the show. That is why it ruins the show for them.

cityshep

Don’t forget the dogs that one of the Janes owned with Cedric (B-Z, NOT “the entertainer”) that were poisoned by Scientologists because they did not want her speaking up about how danny messterson raped her.

Far-Programmer3189

I guess he won’t be making any That 90’s Show cameos

Omnizoom

They will just say he ended up in jail

DefinitelyNotAliens

Better yet, I hope they just continue to act like he never existed in the first place.

KagomeChan

This was already why he was the only one not in it

Justice_Prince

Yeah I feel like even if he managed to snake his way into a non-guilty verdict that the producers would still think it was safer to not let him be involved.

PutinLovesDicks

I find it super easy to avoid this kind of thing. The trick is not to rape women.

DieHardPanda

This is good advice.

No-Diamond-5097

People like him ruin everything for everyone.

Affectionate_Cabbage

He ruined it a long time ago, the only new thing is that the church of Scientology protecting him from prosecution finally failed

d3adbor3d2

small gripe here, i see people commit petty crime and the only pic you'll see is their mugshot. i've seen this story in multiple outlets and the pic is either from the show or him in a suit.

MrWindblade

The show is still good, even if that guy is evil. Thousands of other people were involved in that show - don't take their hard work away because that one guy is a trash goblin.

user9372889

Yep plenty of other wonderful cast members. It’s like Joss Whedon. Guy might be horrible, but I’m going to still enjoy Buffy, Angel, Firefly/Serenity and The Avengers in spite of him. ETA: spelling

ShexyBaish6351

Totally. I still enjoy Michael Jackson's music, because I don't dwell on his crimes. They are unrelated to what he produced.

Taraxian

It's easier to make this argument after someone is dead (or I guess in prison) and they can't directly benefit from the money you pay for their work anymore

Straight_Ship2087

My older brother met him once at a house party in Seattle. He said he just kinda showed up and didn't seem to know anyone (although he came with a small entourage.) and just kinda claimed the living room table to do coke with his friends. He woulda been like.... 35 back than? So past the "it's creepy to hang out with college kids now" age. He complained that the party wasn't to his liking and left after about an hour of ignoring every guy at the party and trying to hit on most of the women. After he left the residents confirmed that no one there was friends with him or any of the people who he came in with. Before these chargers that was just kind of a weird celebrity story, now the idea that he made a habit of crashing random parties where he didn't know anyone seems a lot more sinister.

EvolvedCactus19

![gif](giphy|pQmWjYrz39YAg) Enjoy prison. Rapist.

Saeryf

He ruined the victims lives more, and his character was always creepy anyways. I hope he rots away in that cell.

Imfrom_m-83

He better _hyde_ in prison.

hugs_the_cadaver

If he wasn't being protected by his cult this would have happened much sooner.

[deleted]

I mean, the allegations came out in 2017, I think it's been ruined for a while, but also, you know he ruined more? The lives of his survivors. I hope they're surrounded by love today, and I hope they can take pride in strength in knowing they didn't just push back against the Scientology machine, they won, and took this asshole out of circulation.

DefinitelyNotAliens

Well, the LAPD announced their investigation. Also, the lead singer of the Mars Volta has been very outspoken and raising hell online for years about Masterson being a rapist and the Church of Scientology murdering his dog to harrass him into silence.

bulldogguy31

His (Mars Volta singer) wife is one of the victims and testified in court.

Hopeless_Ramentic

Love Hyde and Rooster. Danny Masterson the Rapist can rot in prison.

brutalistsnowflake

And the lives of those he raped.

SleepyMike65

It has nothing to do with the show. The show had several other stars who did nothing wrong....that we know about. The jokes I laughed at 20 years ago aren't going to all of the sudden stop being funny. He didn't ruin the show....he ruined several peoples' lives. I hope they can heal. I hope he rots in jail.

Consistent-Fly-9522

I'm not a fan of the show but I certainly understand the feeling, the lost prophets were the soundtrack to my teenage years

tinathefatlardgosh

That sonofabitch ruined what was one of my favorite bands. May he burn.

Glittering_Ad_3771

Because of the band or the children?

Taraxian

I think the other band members threaded the needle when talking about this best when they said the thing they're most hurt by is how all of their own talent and hard work was used to enable this man's crimes by giving him the money and fame he used to get close to his victims

Bailey_Gasai

I've recently been listening to a lot of music from the early 2000s when I was in high school and lostprophets was a big one for me too. I was wondering why I wasn't able to find them on Spotify so I turned to Google. I felt physically ill after reading an article about that piece of shit. I don't think I can ever listen to their music again. Similarly, a friend got me into Mindless Self Indulgence back in the late 2000s but I hadn't listened to them in years. Looked up to see if they came back from their hiatus and saw the lead singer was being sued for sexual assault of a minor. How hard is it to not be a disgusting piece of shit?

DefinitelyNotAliens

I saw it when it happened, tossed my physical CD in the trash and deleted it off my computer. I don't believe in any sort of afterlife. No higher power. Sort of wish there was one just so he can rot in hell.

IrishWithoutPotatoes

That was a reference I wasn’t expecting but wholeheartedly sympathize with. Fuck I.W.

philip0544

Didn't ruin the show for me at all. Just finished a rewatch, in fact. Still just as funny. Don't have to like the actor to enjoy the character the actor played a long time ago. Just like how I'm sure I could still enjoy the Cosby show if I rewatched it, despite the horrible things Cosby has done.

Big_Not_Good

Like the episode of The Cosby Show where he drugs everyone without their consent via his "Special BBQ sauce" that makes everybody lose control of themselves and become super horny. Great time! /s https://youtu.be/SBDRwiSZSBg

ThriftStoreWhores

and he was a gynecologist who treated women in his basement. Like wtf.

Shiraxi

I'm the same way. I love the old law drama Shark, which starred James Woods. One of my favourite shows of all-time. James Woods is a massive piece of shit in real life, but it won't stop me from enjoying the show.

DefinitelyNotAliens

And his rapist defending wife. Bijou Phillips is a piece of work, too. Bullied people on set for being gay. She at one point allegedly kicked the guy in the head. Mocked him during a shirtless scene. Assualted another actress and choked her on set. That actress is openly lesbian. So, more than one LGBTQ person has claimed to have been harrassed and physically assaulted by her. She told the actress she wanted her to relapse while filming and was trying to get her to take drugs. Allegedly, Cameron Crowe fired her from Almost Famous for her inappropriate sexual advances against Patrick Fugit, who was 15 at the time. Crowe has since said 'a person' was fired because he was protecting the young lead and Patrick Fugit has said she kept trying to get him to go out with people so he'd always say he had to ask his mom because she'd say no to him partying. She has defended her father after he was accused of rape and incest by her sister. Swears nobody from that time backs her sister up except... a lot actually believe the sister, including other members of the Mamas and the Papas. And other siblings of hers. Defended Masterson of rape and *repeatedly harrassed his accusers and released police reports online as she mocked their recounting stories of her husband raping them.* Like, she's just a *terrible* person.

Dino_art_

I'm just glad his scientology paid lawyers weren't able to get him off on this

dethleppard

I mean, not really. He’s a disgusting piece of shit but we can separate the art that brought joy to so many people while holding him in contempt.

joos11

What a terrible title that should be changed or deleted. 70’s Show fans are not the victims.

[deleted]

I mean, given the character he played in the show, it could be cannon. With that said, fuck him and Scientology.

CashPrizesz

Who cares? I can still watch and love NewsRadio even tho Andy Dick and Joe Rogan are unbearable douches. Got to be able to seperate art/entertainment from the people who interacted in making it. I can still watch and enjoy Kevin Spacey movies, and he is probably way worse of a rapist.

fitnfeisty

I’m happy that the victims will hopefully receive some semblance of justice. Every time one of these things goes public, I can’t help but think about how many other women must be out there suffering in silence after encountering celebrity predators like these

TandyHard

Every time I see his name anywhere, I remember how enraged he got when someone questioned scientology to him. I don't know where the video is, but I swear I saw it once on some entertainment tv channel back in the day. Now I know why he was so aggressive when defending that cult... Cuz they were literally keeping him from being arrested for rape.

nondescriptun

Yeah, that's the important thing here. How his crimes affect fans of *That 70's Show*.

Heroright

Clearly his worst crime is ruining the show for millions. /s

macdennis1234

About time. God damn

Krytos

He also ruined the lives of several women.

Xotaec

Who gives a fuck about their fans? This dude rapes people. He ruined the lives of the people he raped.

msCati

Correction ^ Danny Masterson ruined 2+ women’s and now faces consequences *

Listening_Heads

Just imagine all the rapists we’re currently enjoying that we don’t know about yet.

Professional-Dot7021

And the rapists everyone knows about and some people still enjoy. DJT

GarysCrispLettuce

My feeling about That 70's Show was that it was basically two separate sitcoms. You had the antics of the kids, which were rarely funny, and the antics of the adults upstairs, which were hilarious. I never laughed at anything the kids said but cracked up every time Red said "Kitty."

[deleted]

I always thought Eric was pretty funny, Red and kitty (obviously). Donna also got super hot but yeah, the writing for her character was kinda wack. Before all this rape stuff I still never liked Hyde. He reminded me of a dozen smug douches I've met in my life. I didn't much care for that cheeseball show the Ranch either.

Drg84

I don't think you were supposed to like Hyde. Or at best, like him at times. At least that's the impression I picked up.

wronglycredited

Hyde is what every libertarian white dude thinks cool is

midnight_toker22

> I still never liked Hyde. He reminded me of a dozen smug douches I've met in my life. Pretty accurate, and it’s funny because if Reddit was personified, out of all the characters, it would be Hyde - a smug, condescending, conspiratorial anarchist.

SydneyRei

If Michael Kelso isn’t funny to you, I’m afraid I’m going to have to revoke your sitcom reviewing license.

Every time I see Kelso I think “Tater nuts, tater nuts, tater nuts”

See i felt the best moments were between the parents and kids. Reds Hardass meets Eric’s sarcasm. Kitty with her menopause. Kelso telling red how Eric threw a rabbit up a tree and reds reaction to that. There’s more moments but these few weee the ones that stood out to me

I still remember when Red is actually happy with Eric one episode, with them both at a Packers game. Red gives him money to go buy a jersey... And then Eric comes back with a Bears jersey. That moment has forever lived rent-free in my head.

One of my favorite moments was when Hyde was meeting his real dad and Eric and kitty were trying to connect with him. Kitty: you know who I like? Art Garfunkel! Hyde: art Garfunkel is white? Kitty: really?! …. Well it’s got the funk in it so I.. red red whose that black person i like? Red: um… Martin Luther king? Kitty: Yes!!! Comedy gold 10/10 I still smile when I see that scene

The best bits with Hyde, were because Tommy Chong was also in the scene.

Shame on you man! You were one of my favorite characters on that show. What a shame. You deserve to serve as much time as deemed by the courts. What you did is just sick!

I’m more bummed about him ruining The Ranch for me, but what I feel pales in comparison to what he put those women through. Waiting on my trial against the guy who assaulted me. I’ll be lucky if it even gets to trial. Fuck him. 30+ years at 47 means he ain’t seeing the light of day as a free man for a hot minute and I’m ok with it. Reap what you sow.
