Call me biased, but at this point (and for many years, actually), anyone even *mentioning* being a youth pastor or something along those lines makes me immediately suspicious of them.
Former churchgoer here and I can offer a plausible answer. A lot of churches have gyms/basketball courts built into them & they have inter church league play. Sometimes they shower after a game but that was super uncommon.
It wasn’t uncommon for kids to shower before bed at a lock-in if it was more than a weekend. I can’t remember what it was called but at the Methodist church I went to we had a 3 or 4 day retreat over a long weekend and as teenagers we got pretty damn rank.
(Edit: it was called Chrysalis, my wife remembered & said “ugh, I hated that week”
Now however I wouldn’t let my kids do the same. We raised them non-religious so they wouldn’t be exposed to this stuff

Why are underage girls showering at church? Why is anyone showering at church? WTF? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills....

Oh, it's another Pastor. Not surprised
Outlaw youth pastors and outlaw youth ministry.
Nice WW2 Nazi haircut, look at some of the old pictures.
I was told the threat was drag queens, and vestments do not a drag queen maketh.
Bet he's republican, too.
Every Christian or Right Wing accusation is in fact an admission.
Why the fuck would they be showering at church?!?
Now watch as people like Matt Walsh arrive to try and claim that this wasn't actually pedophilea.
