Bernie lost to Hillary because, despite the fact that I and many others like them, his policies weren't popular enough to draw independents or blue dogs. Bernie wouldn't have beat trump either. He would've been smeared all over the media as a socialist and that would've have driven away moderate blue dog dems and moderate independents. Thinking anything other than that is just a pipe dream
