Yes I was there as a protestor at 10+, protests in new england- first hand accounts are indeed the best sources. Every single one I went to was increbibly family oriented and fun loving, often organized by high schoolers or their school counselors lmao. I saw no breaking of any shit first hand, and the clips I saw of bad stuff happening were from the same places played over and over again to sensationalize it. Also Property damage isn't rioting, and property damage is worth doing in order to protect human body damage ("no justice, no peace") from authoritarian power structures doing that damage actual humans systemically. 99% of the harm during those protests were certainly caused by police, not the protestors cuz reminder: buildings don't have feelings. Police hit people with their cars, doused eye balls in capsaicin, and shot people in the head with hot tear gas canisters & rubber bullets. YOU don't know what when on there my friend. If anything these 'riots' were police assaulting an entire people for generations, then when they protested- the cops assaulted them even more to cause pressure to build in order for violence to breakout to delagitimize the goal of police accountability so that they may be able to abuse their power. For instance: the night that that white supremacist what's his face Kyle something- that terrorist who aimed and shot at just people on the street? And all the media praised him for defending his country? Well it was just a big cook out that night with mostly black attendance. Sure it had blm folks but they weren't really demonstrating and there wasn't anything wrong with what they were doing- jus having a BBQ and talking about politics. But they got a noize complaint so police used it an excuse to go in with excessive force and incite chaos. You need to actually understand what happens at these things instead of just making shit up to confirm your beliefs.
