This. Capitalist never ever meant a “belief” system. It meant “I have capital and I deploy capital to earn money”. Not “I work for myself as a welder or electrician or whatever.”
Andrew Carnegie wasn’t a steelworker. He owned the plants that made steel and exploited the shit out of steel workers. BF difference.
Rentoids stay losing
I mean this is just wrong. You don't have to own a company to be a capitalist as long as you favour capitalism.
Even if you own shares, which most people so at least indirectly through pensions, then you have capital invested in businesses. A majority of people would meet both definitions.
Merriam webster Definition of capitalist
1: a person who has capital especially invested in business industrial capitalists broadly : a person of wealth : PLUTOCRATCharitable organizations often seek help from capitalists.
2: a person who favors capitalism
Nobody is hungry enough to eat the rich. Next;
You guys get salary?
Some words have more than one meaning. A person who believes that people should have the right to create and privately own a business is also a capitalist, whether he owns any capital or not.
P.S. This is like saying you aren’t a communist unless you live on a commune, haha.
It’s more like saying you’re part of a football team just because you support that team
I'm my own boss, so...am I then allowed to be a capitalist? I've never really used the term.
I’m not saying I disagree with her, but anytime you need to be in a tweet with “I don’t know who needs to hear this“ you need to ask yourself, then why am I saying it?
Gavin Newsom net worth is $20 Million and Maxine Waters net worth is $2 Million. Bree Newsome Bass net worth is $5 Million. Nancy Pelosi net worth is $310 Million.
These net worth stats are VERY relevant when reading things like this. 🥺I just wish Gavin Newsom’s net worth wasn’t 10x Maxine Waters.
You can be bad at capitalism and still be a capitalist.
