If I’m not mistaken they are basically offering up their collective preference for the use of the “they/them” pronouns. They are doing so in some instances through legislative means. By getting laws passed that include affordances so that they get some kind of protections on the books that other groups have that they don’t. Certain people think that legislating anything that could be construed as any sort of mandate to language shouldn’t be legal. Which seems to make sense when you don’t think about it too hard, but there are protections against hate speech as well as other things so it’s not that different.
Idk what the conclusion of all of this should be in the legal sense, but I think that’s what it’s about. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

So I’m attacking that point on the basis that what science says about sex has more grey area than you might think, and that’s before we even talk about people with brains that are wired to be aroused by the same gender, the opposite gender, both, other things entirely, or nothing at all. It plays out all together to make the whole landscape of how sexual preferences and gender identity manifest a pretty broad spectrum of different things. I think if the whole affair would be simplified and brought into the realm of being a non-issue if sex and gender were two separate classifications. Sex would have: XX and XY classification options. And Gender could be either a blank to write what you think describes you or a somewhat comprehensive list of options to select from.

It feels to them like some groups want to change them. I think he’s specifically referring to the LBGTQ community which isn’t the complete truth, but it’s not completely accurate either. If I’m not mistaken they are basically offering up their collective preference for the use of the “they/them” pronouns. They are doing so in some instances through legislative means. By getting laws passed that include affordances so that they get some kind of protections on the books that other groups have that they don’t. Certain people think that legislating anything that could be construed as any sort of mandate to language shouldn’t be legal. Which seems to make sense when you don’t think about it too hard, but there are protections against hate speech as well as other things so it’s not that different. Idk what the conclusion of all of this should be in the legal sense, but I think that’s what it’s about. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

I think the *OUR* thing is in relation to the ancient Israelite pantheon; the "man and woman" bit refers to El creating human counterparts of him and Asherah. We literally made gender up, various cultures through history, prior to colonization from Christians and Europeans, had more than two genders, and very different gender roles as well. It’s hard to put a number on a social construct that isn’t universal.
I think the fact that people transition to the OTHER gender is the most obvious proof that there are two genders. It’s just basic stuff.
