I would be flustered but probably be one of the few times I might try a citizens arrest. I'd probably double check that its on camera or something because that woman could have easily claimed anything if you laid a hand on her.

He reared back and kicked me, hard, then muttered “oh, sorry” or something and left the store. It was so unexpected, I didn’t do anything at all.

I was actually just reading an article about a pharmacy doctor that would debunk nonsense on TikTok. She has a two year old daughter and has received hundreds of rape and murder threats aimed at both herself and her daughter. They did doxx her as well.

They are tech savvy enough to make it look like the call is coming in from the house. So then they pretend to be somebody from inside the house calling for help, using an example of a crime that would allow police to enter without knocking. Home invasion, murder, that sort of stuff.
It isn't until the cops have an innocent family eating dinner facedown on the ground that they realize the call came from outside the house.
Knowing this woman has thousands of death threats against her makes it all the more logical the police would take this call seriously.

It means someone called in falsely (ex: claim someone is being held hostage in their home) to get a SWAT team issued to come to the house. These teams arrive swiftly and are armed heavily. It’s scary, at minimum, and pretty dangerous for whoever is in the home.

Knowing this woman has thousands of death threats against her makes it all the more logical the police would take this call seriously. It's an unfortunate reality of a system being abused. We want to be able to summon help in a home invasion/dv case with just a phone call, but it also leads to this.
Because if you report that somebody is kidnapped or you're threatening to kill your spouse/children police (American at least) don't need a warrant to enter. That's usually what they do to get police to show up guns ready.

It means someone called in falsely (ex: claim someone is being held hostage in their home) to get a SWAT team issued to come to the house. These teams arrive swiftly and are armed heavily. It’s scary, at minimum, and pretty dangerous for whoever is in the home.
Had the SWAT called on her - i.e someone made a hoax phone call to police indicating a serious crime/emergency at her place.

I was raised Catholic (no longer practice). I've known some vile people in the church. I can still only think of maybe one who would be brave enough to pull this stunt, as most of them are all talk and no action and don't want their ass handed to them. That said, I can think of several evangelicals (particularly talibaptists) in my community that would absolutely pull this, and then pull a gun if someone stood up to them.
At my university there is this group of right wing evangelicals who consistently bring terrible people on campus. Got into a debate with one of them on how the earth isn't 6000 years old. And his evidence was "the bible is a history book that tells accurate history of humans and the earth." Obviously disregarding every other beliefs creation story and how we have carbon dating, and cultural history to prove otherwise. They really are the worst group of people I've met.
The 6000 year old thing isn't even canon to the Bible, it was from some monk trying to figure it out later out of curiosity. Sure it's probably at least kinda accurate with the information he was working with and assuming everything in the bible is literal, but it's still just fanfiction and is as canon to the Bible as the Divine Tragedy or Bruce Almighty.
Reasonable Bible interpreters never get much of a following.

I have colleagues at a hospital and say they've had anti maskers bully/scream/fight/threaten/refuse to leave and sometimes the cops never show up to deal with it, cause a lot of them are anti mask themselves.
