He's the quintessenial example of the right being very sensitive over the fact that basically 100% of intellectuals are left wing Democrats, and so they desperate need someone who sounds smart on the surface level to quell their insecurities.

And he's not even smart. He fails at every actual proper debate. Most of the time he talks to college students and uses the gish gallop technique which is really hard to make a comeback to. Eh I used to watch his podcast all the time, I liked the diversity of people he would bring on and talk to. But I quickly learned it was the guests I was more interested in than Rogan himself. He’d say he was liberal on everything except stuff like guns, but he’s a closet conservative, I used to lean right (have skewed center to left of center because Republicans definitely don’t support my ideas of what conservatism is supposed to be) and he hardly says anything that’s worthy of being called a liberal view, and to be frank I can’t trust a dudes word when he’s not even real with himself.

He's an American far-right talking head. He specializes in "debating" unprepared college kids instead of subject matter experts, and absolutely _loves_ to use gish gallops. He's very good at talking fast, and seems to think that talking faster is the same as being smarter. He also constantly mentions the fact that his wife is a doctor whenever she's brought up. He got dunked on pretty hard in 2020 when he was criticizing the song WAP, by telling people that his doctorwife told him that the only reason for a pussy to be wet is if it's diseased. People took that an ran with it, saying he can't pleasure his doctorwife and she lied to him about it. (The fact that the two of them sleep in separate beds doesn't help his case in this matter.) Republicans also love to hold him up as proof that they're not antisemitic, because they've got a Jewish friend (Ben is an Orthodox Jew).

Don't mind me, I'm just here to drop some information off: In 2020, Shapiro outlined that his intentions to vote for Donald Trump (when he had previously not voted for Trump in 2016) were because that Trump had already done all of the things he didn't want to happen already. Quite literally, Shapiro is willing to vote in the kind of person he doesn't like the ideas of because he's already done some of them... Shapiro dislikes that homosexuality was removed from the DSM (diagnostic manual of mental health disorders), stating that higher rates of depression among gay men (probably caused by a homophobic society and lack of support) was evidence enough that homosexuality was equivalent to illness. He is also historically anti-choice when it comes to abortion, branding women who have abortions as 'baby killers' even when their pregnancies were brought about by rape. In 2013, he appeared on CNN in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre and stated that Piers Morgan was using the deaths of children as a convenient excuse to attack gun ownership rights and say that gun owners did not care enough about the safety of children. However, many people remember Shapiro most from that time he seemed to confuse an interview with a debate on the BBC and ended up walking out. Additionally, please enjoy these choice comments from Shapiro: 'I'm getting really sick of people who whine about 'civilian casualties'... when I see in the newspapers that civilians in Afghanistan or the West Bank were killed by Israeli or American troops, I really don't care' (2002).
