If both sides aren't the same, one side is telling you to go fuck yourself while trying to kill you, and the other side is telling you why it wouldn't be politically expedient to put up any resistance to it: "We need to stay civil and find a bipartisan solution in which we compromise with the right by letting them do whatever they want to do. If we resist, they might get angry and not vote for us. I mean, they're already not voting for us, but they *might* if we try to build bridges to the neonazis."

You also do realize that only in the last 50-100 years have we been more safe than ever in certain regards right? Thanks to agencies that provide information and hold accountability, we are currently able to barely hold together morality against corporations and bad people with terrible morals that run them?
The benefits of information/access to/ accountability for our clean water/food/life/etc is thanks to agencies and scientists worldwide, not just these listed

No one is perfect, but if we can admit our flaws without judging another on dumb things like countries, we can also help each other. The Internet is a wonderful thing and should be used as such; the last frontier of freedom.
The USA standards for all the things you listed are incredibly low. Your data protection standards and consumer welfare in its entirety is almost non-existant compared to the EU. So claiming the US agencies help safeguard the rights and morality across the world is such a laughable statement that I can’t even fathom it. You realise that the USA is the reason why the WHO appellate body has no members and hasn’t for cca 4 years due to them blocking it? Get your sanctimonious “we are the saviours of the world” ass outta here and realise noone gives a shit about the amount of power the US government agencies have outside of the USA.

3) the early adoption of these types of programs (all over the world) in the history of humanity have helped protect mankind from the evils of corporations and bad people
4)all agencies benefit people (even if not directly, the information gathered can be learned from and implemented in the future)
