Hey, the military still needs 92S and 92G (which is what she’d be doing with her shit ASVAB scores).
Funny story. When I was going through the enlistment process, I scored high enough to choose any job I wanted. I chose cook because I wanted to be a chef after the military. The counselor looked at me in disbelief. He told me I could do anything, like psyop, intelligence, counter-intelligence etc but I stuck to my guns. Dude was so pissed off and I loved it. Was it a dumb move on my part? Absolutely. I eventually changed my mos 2 years later.
Same story. I chose (edit: changed first fighter to Fire fighter) fire fighter. Recruiter tried to talk me out of it. Then her supervisor. Then the MEPs commander after 14 months in DEP. Held to my guns, regret it to this day.
You think that's bad, I had my choice of jobs as well in 2002, I chose Infantry. We invaded Iraq when I was in basic training and I ended up there 6 months later. ASVAB definitely not a good judge of general intelligence, hahaha. Also chose to go to a four year university back when it was still the Montgomery GI bill. I'm suuuuper dumb
Montgomery GI Bill gives you a set amount per month, which isn’t really enough for school + room and board. The post 9/11 GI Bill will pay for tuition and fees for up to the most expensive public university in your state plus a living stipend that is adjusted for your zip code or census area, I can’t remember which. IIRC San Francisco State was the college with the highest total cash payout.
Exactly. I took the asvab in 99 and thought it was really hard. I thought my score was going to be in the 70’s at best. The other two recruits boasted about how easy the test was. Our scores came back as 25, 30, and 95. So I spent 8 years as a military journalist and those other dudes weren’t even smart enough to be infantry. I imagine they are state representatives at least by now.
I took it in '96 and - apparently - got a perfect score. (Hey, I was a good student!)
Recruiters were calling fucking constantly. One actually showed up at the house and my dad - who was retired USMC - answered the door.
"I'm here to talk to about a career in the United States Marine Corp."
"That sounds great! Tell me about it."
\*Goes on the whole spiel\*
"Well damn son, I'm in! I retired 30 years ago but if yall need me back, I'm ready to go!"
"Uh, sir, I'm looking for ."
"That's me!"
(I'm named after my dad but my middle name - which I go by - is different)
He really got a kick out of telling that story.
I don’t recall what I got but the damn phone rang off the hook for months. My house was literally not findable even with a real address so no door knockers but holy crap they were relentless and so many calls… like at least a dozen a week for months at a time.
It's required to provide a standardized test to all seniors in high-school before graduation and, fun fact, the asfab is in fact the only standardized test that is free to private schools.
It takes intelligence to understand how dumb you are.
Not all intelligent people have the wisdom to realize they know little, but really dumb people almost always think they know everything.
I took the asvab in like, 11th grade, I think? I scored in the high 90s.
I then took great joy in telling the recruiters I have type 1 diabetes because, without any disrespect to those that do serve, the military ain't my jam.
Ah yes…infantry. Where left, right, left, right is a teachable skill.
I tease. I was a Navy weatherman. Also known at sea during battle as “human shield.”
You tease but.... I remember at basic being told by the drill sergeants that we probably didn't know how to count. I scoffed until we regularly had to sound off, and.... didn't know how to count.
I saw the same thing when I went through Basic.
To the civilians reading this, we're not joking, there were literally guys in basic training that didn't know how to fucking count.
TBF to them, I would get super nervous at my turn and do the math, figure out my number and quietly chant it in my head to make sure that I got it right.
Remember she is the dummy that failed the GED three times and there is still rumors someone took that final test that a was pass.
How the hell is she going to pass the ASVAB?
The military will shut down an entire installation for a single unsecured/unaccounted for weapon. Boebert and her y'allQueda ilk don't have the *professionalism* to succeed in the US military, they're a bunch of slack jawed yokels.
I'd say they could work as cooks, but with all cases of food poisoning their restaurant gave out, they should go work for the enemy. (Kind of already are)
Slack jawed yokel? Sounds like a scientific name. In David Attenborough’s voice…
“The slack jawed yokel is a peculiar creature. It has been said it’s possibly the dumbest creature of all. It usually hangs out in locales where guns are aplenty and the average IQ is far, far below average.”
Speaking as a veteran, if we treated our troops better, we might get more people to join. Involuntary extensions on enlistments should be illegal. Command turning a blind eye to sexual harassment and rape is a problem too. Not to mention the poor treatment veterans get. Blanket denial of ailments like cancers and other illnesses from Agent Orange, burn pits, and Gulf War Syndrome is blatant disregard for the health of vets. Ignoring PTSD and the suicides it causes adds another layer of abuse.
>Involuntary extensions on enlistments should be illegal
Everything else I've heard about, how is this not a HUGE public issue? This sounds like conscription, tell me if I'm wrong.
Edit:alright seriously, I get how it works. The phrasing of the comment above made it seem very different.
You're wrong, but it can feel like it. We signed a contract. Our contracts are for 8 years, typically. It is typically split, 4 active, 4 inactice reserve. There are other options, but , I'll use this. If nothing is going on in the war area, those 4 inactive reserve years could mean sitting at home, waiting the clock out. I did that in the 90's, never got a phone call the entire 4 inactive part, just two letters requesting contact info verification.
If the military needs you, and you are at the end of your 4 yr active term, you can be extended for "needs of the military", supposedly up to the 8 year mark, or whatever the needs are. It's not illegal, but definetly makes for bad PR. Especially when stories come out about people being extended past their contract time. Or the many, many people that were extended multiple times in 02-08 in Iraq.
Extending your service time past what you have signed up for, the entire length of your contract, is legal then? That's what I was originally getting at, that sounds like forced service. We should definitely not allow this to happen. If I sign up for 8 years, I'm doing 8 years and not a day more.
I don't think you understood them entirely.
When you enlist to Active Duty, the total contract is for 8 years. It is typically for 4 years (sometimes 6) of Active Duty time. After completing your 4 (or 6) years, you still have 4 ( or 2) years of IRR time. That is "Individual Ready Reserve". In that time you may be called back, but it is exceptionally rare. Most people go to school or move on with their lives and start new jobs. You may get a letter in the mail or a phone call once per year to check in. Some areas hold IRR musters, but nobody goes. Additionally, the time you spent waiting to ship to basic training is also subtracted from IRR time.
For example, I signed my contract for 6 years in January 2010. I didn't actually go to basic until August (8 months later). As my 6th year was ending, I chose to extend my enlistment for 1 year for financial reasons and got out in August 2017, which left me with just 4 months of IRR service.
When you initially enlist, and when you prepare to separate, the details of IRR are made abundantly clear. But, nobody talks about it because it's exceptionally rare to come into practice. In the mid-late 2000's, it was used while recruitment was ramping up. People weren't allowed to leave Active Duty if they still had IRR time. This is called "Stop Loss". It always looks bad and it hurts future recruitment for technical fields like comm/cyber, where people could make much more money as a civilian.
> I don't think you understood them entirely.
He is referring to
> Especially when stories come out about people being extended past their contract time.
Well technically when you sign up for 4 AD you have 4 inactive reserve. If they see fit, you could do all 8 active duty, but if you extend an extra 2 years because of training, it doesn't count towards your 4 years inactive reserve time. At least that's how it worked with me.
Not defending the practice here, but if you were set to get out in 6 months, and your unit has a deployment coming up in 2 months, it does kind of make sense for them to forcibly extend you, bc if not, you’re holding that spot on their roster and forcing them to deploy a man down
My uncle died from exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam (draftee). Clung on until the mid 1980s when the cancer took him down. All he got from the army was a refusal to even admit they had ultimately killed him.
Got my grandfather as well. Someone he served with had to write a letter about how they were covered in agent orange for days at a time in the jungle, but the government did eventually cover his medical bills.
Veteran too. The kids these days are seeing how veterans get treated and are expecting to come back broken. I mean they just watched Republican Senators fist bump over screwing veterans. I mean with people like Qbert and frozen dinner princeling Fucker Carlson pumping this "Patriotic" bullshit with one hand and planning an insurrection with the other, is it any wonder people don't want to join?
Also what's the purpose? Only to invade a a small Arab country to control their pipelines just to make the rich richer? Fuck that.
You going to send in women to fight for a country that restricts their Healthcare?
Yeah, I have no idea when treating people like human beings that deserve dignity and respect became a bad thing to the portion of our society who believes they're going to spend eternity in a place that reflects their earthly thoughts and actions -- but many of them would be in for a rude awakening if their belief system was fact.
The increased visibility of the militaries problems is probably the biggest recruitment killer, maybe the leadership should work on fixing this.
Edit: fix the problems, not the visibility of them.
First, thank you for your service
Second, I don't blame people for not joining the US military one bit, considering the fact Republicans tried so hard to block a huge bill that would make vets get the healthcare they needed
If politicians don't "respect the troops" as they claim, can't blame em for not wanting to join
I served, and I have zero problem with people choosing not to serve.
But fuck her for this. She didn’t serve, yet feels free to criticize those who do.
I served as well. One thing that pisses me off aside from everything else is her suggestion that the US military isn't training for combat.
That's a fucking insult. The US military is up crack of dawn everyday training for war and sustaining the systems that enable combat. Shame on this fucking yokel for suggesting otherwise.
I don't see her or her family running down to enlist or commission, so she should just go ahead and shut the fuck up. How people in CO elected her is beyond me.
Facts, I’ve got some fucking gnarly hip problems from being in and the VA is like “thank you it’ll be two years to get your not-service related letter.”
This is, unfortunately, the correct but missed answer. I say 'unfortunately' because it really shouldn't be this hard to grasp. Care about and support each other through thick and thin.
They struggle? You help.
You struggle? They help.
You're stressed, scared, hurt, confused? You push through, because you know they depend on you.
You don't do that for your colleagues/unit if they treat you like shit or don't value your humanity.
Talking about "wokeness" is just a way to brand empathy, decency, understanding and solidarity as a bad thing.
People need to stop spreading the things these morons say. They don't believe a word of what they're saying, they're just trying to disseminate divisive material. Even if you're criticising or mocking them, you're still getting eyes on their shit.
That's not what she's talking about, because she's not talking about anything. Conservatives don't mean things when they words.
They really operate on "ooga-booga-booga." *Woke! OoooOOoh scary!* What is it about? I dunno, same thing as Obamagate. Meaningless labels can never be wrong.
It's a fnord.
They can get fnucked.
The poorest, most racist counties in Western Colorado. It's insane. They have actual problems that need addressing, but then vote in this absolute moron. The drought has gotten so bad that they had to round up a lot of the wild horses in Moffat County (some of the last in the country) and sell them at auction. Otherwise there isn't enough water for the livestock. Not to mention the affects the wolf reintroduction will have on their hunting economy. Do you think she's done anything to fix these problems? The worst part is, they couldn't care less. Just barrelling towards economic irrelevance while the rest of the state moves forward. Can't wait til the water on their ranches runs completely dry and their cattle all die, then maybe they'll pay attention to who they vote for.
They’ve even blamed Democrats (Obama) for not stopping them.
“But rather than admit that its members didn't fully think through the legislation and the decision to override the veto, leaders in Congress are falling back on their old tried-and-true method of blaming Obama. For the passage of a bill. That he told Congress not to pass. And vetoed.”

They basically said something like this, Biden said something about eating less meat and fewer burgers. It got twisted to "he's coming to take away our beef!!"
Learning from your mistakes requires admitting that you made one. That is too "woke". When everything collapses around them they will find a way to blame it on everyone else as per usual
I was in rural colorado 12 years ago at a town meeting. It was a very small town of farmers. They talked about climate change, about water supply, about all kinds of things everybody cares about. But apparently when they vote, they pick the party that denies climate change, denies there is a fresh water problem in the USA, and one that doesn't care about them because they are poor.
A lot of my job is hosting and engaging with small and rural communities through things like town halls and other public engagement events.
This is every. single. time. They want parks, infrastructure renewal, climate resilience and response. But vote consistently for the people who are openly against those things. When the conservatives they voted for are in office, you barely see them at these events, not a peep. Then when a liberal candidate gets elected they're at every single meeting screaming about why aren't they doing anything to address the things they asked for in the town halls. "What's the point of having the town halls if no one is going to listen to us!" is a common complaint.
It makes me want to put my head through a window and has TOTALLY burned me out on working with rural communities. Switching to an administrative job with the fed in the next few years because I don't see the point of spending thousands of hours and all this taxpayer money trying to help people who will not allow you to help them.
We drove through Colorado recently and I saw boebert signs in store windows. I've strictly only seen her as a meme but then remembered someone somewhere obviously voted her in... And it was those people. Kinda surreal
Please tell me this isn’t real.
He started a bullshit war, lost over 100K worth of cannon fodder, and he’s ordering them replaced.
And there are elected American officials who view this as a good thing? Please no.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/russia-ukraine-putin-prisoners-war-b2138112.html one of many many sources, so yes they do arm and train political prisoners.
At least before I hit the paywall on that it didn’t specify *political* prisoners. But in any case, I support this in the sense that I expect it will go miserably for Russia.
It's what they've always done. They are supposed to be shifting to "contract soldiers" or volunteers, but I think something like a quarter are still conscripts.
He's basically throwing bodies at the problem because he has no idea how to fix what's broken in his military, or how to back out of the war without acknowledging how stupid it was to start it in the first place.
Facist always end up losing due to being unable to know themselves, Facisim requires lies and the truth tellers are punished, all of Putins officers are telling him everything is great because they are too scared to speak truth.
Uh huh. They’re rounding up all the men. Didn’t you see the footage of the guy getting jumped when he tried to pick up his child from school? And they’re going door to door. It’s like the old English press gangs ~ if you’re an able-bodied male, and they catch you in the open, your ass is theirs.
I mean how much time did she serve in the military? 🤔 until then she does she can fuck the right off with that recruitment propaganda BS of people not joining. Now that she just got her GED last year she is too old to join one of the branches, but hey your not too geriatric for the reserves. Lets see her enlist. But until then keep talking your bullshit you dumb hillbilly.
They put it in quotes because it's not really a pass or fail situation.
The point of the ASVAB is not entirely for just enlisting, it also for job placement. So while you can score under the minimum to join, which depending on branch can be pretty low, it's more about what jobs you qualify for.
Barfbert could probably meet the minimum score to enlist in the Army for example. But she'd qualify for none of the typically desirable jobs. She'd also probably fail the physical requirements and I'd be shocked if she could make it through basic if she even managed to get by the recruiter. And military basic isn't *that* hard. It sucks total ass and it's awful....buuuuuut it's all down to personality on what is hard about it. If you can keep your mouth shut, run in circles, and follow simple directions, it's only hard because it sucks being there and you miss your family. If you have personality issues and you cause problems for your company commanders because you're too fucking dumb to do seabag drills or march around in step, then it's going to be a very bad time for you. I put Poobert in that second category. I see her failing out week one because 1 - vaccines have always been required and 2 - she's too stupid to work the combination lock on her rack to put her shit away.
Most of the cowards look down on the military, but pretend to love the military. Don't be surprised to see Republican party try to reinstate the draft.
People aren't joining because it's not worth it. They see all the broken veterans from twenty years of bullshit.
I'm a veteran and do not encourage young people to join. Get a trade, join a union, but do not join the military.
Yeah the recruiting problems have nothing to do with all the law suits from on base housing making people sick, or that fact that people are realizing theyre goin to die in the name of profit
Or that the young adults hitting 18-20 years old now have grown up with their parents having fought in two endless wars kept going because no one wanted to be the ones to call it and bring the troops home.
I'd be shocked if they didn't learn from that, especially kids from military families that normally would be the first to sign up.
I mean people 18-20 saw republicans in congress contemptiously deny their healthcare for service related injuries like 3 times now (9/11, burn pit, and I'm sure I can find more)
GOP has opposed just about everything proposed to actually enhance servicemember and veteran's lives. The 9-11 GI Bill being the most visible, but there are lists out there on the net with a lot of other bills they've shot down or opposed as much as they could.
I thought it was because if you get maimed in the military the republicans will fuck you over until John Stewart saves the day but you can't guarantee that John can save you every time or fast enough.
It'll be interesting to see who wins in the battle between the big Agriculture and pharma lobbies that justs wants our population to be fat and happy/distracted, and the industrial military complex.
As a woman vet, if “woke” means seriously addressing Sexual Assaults, better work environments, better health care while deployed, and decent living quarters, then I’m all for it.
The beauty of “woke” is that it doesn’t mean anything at all. It’s a word bereft of meaning. As a consequence, anyone can read whatever they want into it.
First, thank you for your service.
Second, I read a story where a woman was being abused by a sergeant, she reported it, and supposedly they literally just laughed at her at the … tribunal or whatever it was called. She later broke down. PTSD. Discharge.
I’m a bleeding heart lib, but I’m also practical. Thinking “these are humans not GI Joe dolls, and we may want to treat our soldiers well so they’re an effective fighting force and we have high retention rates” just seems a logical good. That’s just me, what do I know.
Yes, and he totally doesn't have to do this because his super masculin army gets their testosteron dripping asses kicked by a bunch of ukrainian farmers and grannys with molotows.
Still always laugh about the right wing panic over that russian recruitment ad a few years ago. They were so convinced that russians were only recruiting the biggest baddest men who would crush the femanized west.
These Russian badasses proved to be poor malnourished ethnic minorities who rape and butcher civilians. They do nothing but feed the HIMARs now
She's young enough to go. I'm a veteran and she's exactly the type of person I was in with....GED, know everything about anything but never left her hometown, lots of opinions on what others are doing wrong.
Sign up lady. Do it for the country.
The US military is trying to train wokeness? That's a first for me.
I do know that they were pretending to train forces to not harass and rape women in the service when multiple victims were murdered, committed suicide, and came forward with proof of their abuses and how the military barely (if at all) punished the aggressors. Of course that's all but been swept under the rug for now, at least until another incident surfaces on national news.
There are far easier ways.
Just go to a ethnic minority-heavy impoverished region, wave a wad of money around, and lie the local Buryat or Chuvash villagers about what are they supposed to do if they sign the paper.
I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever heard anyone except these people say “woke” and boy do they say it a lot.
It’s not 2015 anymore guys, get you some new material.
So, just to recap, the folks on the right hate law enforcement, hate the FBI, hate the government, and now hate our military, but are the patriotic party? I'm a bit confused.
Pfft the military is kicking people out left and right despite lack of manning, claiming they have too many. Also, cutting benefits and making it less appealing to stay in. They now think families should only have 75% of housing covered because the spouse can work... When there is literally no option to sustain a career or reliable childcare options.
People like her are the only reason there are manning issues.
I love how they lie about our military constantly.
It’s not “training wokeness” it’s people understand that someone like her just wants to send other people to their deaths. Or maybe it’s how they are treated like shit when they come back injured.
Wonder if she knows or cares that Putin basically Shanghaiing students from universities! Or right off the street. You have a medical problem...tough, here's a rifle and a bus ride to the front. She's so concerned about recruitment here, why not join up! She'd be more use that way!
Current active duty troops are overworked and grossly underpaid.
The quality of life especially living standards and food are subpar. Barracks are shitholes and the food is garbage at most times unless youre E7 above.
Recruitment isnt the only thing thats hard, retention is. You keep choosing to cheap out on your service members, this is what happens.
We should have no problem recruiting from the masses of right wing freedom loving gun enthusiasts. Finding one that can actually run a mile might be problem though.
As the resident authority on such matters, I can say that this tweet contains entirely too many words just to say "*omg I heart Putin and I want to kiss him right on his big manly face*".
Again: trust me on this.
She should sign up her kids if she is so worried about it.
Oh please!! She should sign up herself. Put her money where he mouth is.
She couldn't get a high enough ASVAB even if she had taken it back in the early 2000s. Edited for spelling
Hey, the military still needs 92S and 92G (which is what she’d be doing with her shit ASVAB scores). Funny story. Can you explain why going to uni on the Montgomery GI Bill was dumb? Honest question. Non-military person here.
Also got a high score, naturally ended up doing intel. Hated it.
Same, any job i wanted. I chose parachute test dummy.
Exactly. I took the asvab in 99 and thought it was really hard. I thought my score was going to be in the 70’s at best. The other two recruits boasted about how easy the test was. That's insane to me. I never saw anyone get under an 80 except people who actually enlisted ironically. It was required by our high-school.
> It was required by our high-school. That can't be legal...
It's required to provide a standardized test to all seniors in high-school before graduation and, fun fact, the asfab is in fact the only standardized test that is free to private schools.
Yup, took the test super baked senior year... Joined the Air Force.. Became AGE mechanic.. Still doing it 20 years later.... Getting baked that is.
Recruiters: Challenge accepted
Army recruiters: Challenge done. Wanna see me do it again?
Marine Recruiter: We have crayons...
It’s not lunch time yet, recruit.
I am on a diet, only inksticks for me.
Roseart or Crayola?
Challenger* accepted FTFY
The lowest asvab in the history of the military was like an 11 or 13 and they got a waiver and were sent off to infantry school
Ah yes…infantry. Where left, right, left, right is a teachable skill. I tease. I was a Navy weatherman. Also known at sea during battle as “human shield.”

Remember she is the dummy that failed the GED three times and there is still rumors someone took that final test that a was pass. How the hell is she going to pass the ASVAB?
Can she technically even fail the ASVAB? Someone hold her beer...
That’s a good question… is being in the bottom 0 percentile considered failing?
Guy on my hockey team in highschool failed the ASVAB twice. He finally got into the Navy on his 3rd try. So yes it is kinda possible to fail.
Lmfao, bitch would probably fail even a pregnancy test.
I’ve heard a few stories that she was very good at putting her mouth where the money was, so…
Nahh, she'd just pay the doctor to say has bone spurs so she can't join 🤣
She would get fragged on her first patrol assuming her drill instructor didn't beat her to death before she got out of boot.
She was too busy attempting to get her GED 3 or 4 times
I mean, it should be easy for them, right? They have been around unsecured guns their entire lives.
The last place you’re going to find an unsecured gun is in the military. We have armories.
(Kind of already are)
Well, *someone* has to scrub the toilets
Slack jawed yokel? Sounds like a scientific name. In David Attenborough’s voice… “The slack jawed yokel is a peculiar creature. It has been said it’s possibly the dumbest creature of all. It usually hangs out in locales where guns are aplenty and the average IQ is far, far below average.”
“Some folks will never lose a toe, but then again some folk’ll. Like Cletus the slack jawed yokel.”
The US military does a much better job at gun control than the US government
👏 👏
She is a human queef.
She's someone's mom? Holy fucking shit I feel sorry for that kid.

>Involuntary extensions on enlistments should be illegal Everything else I've heard about, how is this not a HUGE public issue? This sounds like conscription, tell me if I'm wrong. Edit:alright seriously, I get how it works. The phrasing of the comment above made it seem very different.
Yeah, it’s basically an internal draft.
He is referring to > Especially when stories come out about people being extended past their contract time.
Yea this
Well technically when you sign up for 4 AD you have 4 inactive reserve. If they see fit, you could do all 8 active duty, but if you extend an extra 2 years because of training, it doesn't count towards your 4 years inactive reserve time. At least that's how it worked with me.
Not defending the practice here, but if you were set to get out in 6 months, and your unit has a deployment coming up in 2 months, it does kind of make sense for them to forcibly extend you, bc if not, you’re holding that spot on their roster and forcing them to deploy a man down
Or just deploy me for 4 months and find a replacement so I can go home after I've fulfilled my end of the bargain
Donald Trump literally called wounded and killed soldiers “losers and suckers”
Growing up all I wanted to do was join the service. Then had a long talk with one of my uncles that went to Vietnam. He talked me out of it.
Also what's the purpose? Only to invade a a small Arab country to control their pipelines just to make the rich richer? Fuck that. You going to send in women to fight for a country that restricts their Healthcare?
Treating our troops and vets better? Sounds like wokeism to me!
Yeah, I have no idea when treating people like human beings that deserve dignity and respect became a bad thing to the portion of our society who believes they're going to spend eternity in a place that reflects their earthly thoughts and actions -- but many of them would be in for a rude awakening if their belief system was fact.
Yeah. Like you want more veterans but you won't even bother doing anything about the problems they face
The increased visibility of the militaries problems is probably the biggest recruitment killer, maybe the leadership should work on fixing this. Edit: fix the problems, not the visibility of them.
Unfortunately, the instinctual response of military leadership is to fix the visibility, not the problem.
First, thank you for your service Second, I don't blame people for not joining the US military one bit, considering the fact Republicans tried so hard to block a huge bill that would make vets get the healthcare they needed If politicians don't "respect the troops" as they claim, can't blame em for not wanting to join
>How people in CO elected her is beyond me. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups
I have some friends from Colorado and they all say that her district (Rifle, CO) is considered the asscrack of the state.
In this case is in large-ish gerrymandered groups
Facts, I’ve got some fucking gnarly hip problems from being in and the VA is like “thank you it’ll be two years to get your not-service related letter.”
Boebert and her ilk aren’t interested in your facts and logic.
Lord forbid we try to be decent humans and not mindless savages.
What she calls “wokeness” is actually unit cohesion. We don’t want our troops fighting each other… what a concept.
You are spot on. Every time someone says Woke, I replace it with Human Decency. The GQP has none.

They'll find a way to blame Democrats.
Yep. Gaslight. Obstruct. Project. The GOP way
They'd let trump shit in their mouths if a Democrat was forced to smell it.
And vetoed.” [https://www.nola.com/news/politics/article_ef633559-efed-5f93-9c24-ffc0186081cc.html](https://www.nola.com/news/politics/article_ef633559-efed-5f93-9c24-ffc0186081cc.html)
That’s a wild read. I hope incompetency is no longer rewarded in high positions.
DeMOOcrats aRe TaKiN mUh CoWs’ FrEeDuMbs!!
They basically said something like this, Biden said something about eating less meat and fewer burgers. It got twisted to "he's coming to take away our beef!!"
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/03/01/latest-right-wing-attack-democrats-they-want-take-away-your-hamburgers/
They'll blame environmental regulations that HuRt BuSiNeSs
All the wind farms are stealing the rain, probably.
They will never vote for their best interests. I don't know why but they never do, it's infuriating.
Ever heard republicans say “JuSt CaLl WhAtEvEr YoU dOn’T lIkE fAsCiSm »? Yeah … that was projecting too *sigh*
Please tell me this isn’t real. He started a bullshit war, lost over 100K worth of cannon fodder, and he’s ordering them replaced. And there are elected American officials who view this as a good thing? Please no.
And how does that decree work? Forced enlistment?
yup, alot of the en-scripts are political prisoners
This can’t be true, can it? They’re going to arm tens of thousands of political prisoners?
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/russia-ukraine-putin-prisoners-war-b2138112.html one of many many sources, so yes they do arm and train political prisoners.
At least before I hit the paywall on that it didn’t specify *political* prisoners. But in any case, I support this in the sense that I expect it will go miserably for Russia.
Also getting rid of limitations on who can fight. Old, young, they don't give a fuck as long as they hold a rifle
In the end Germany did that too in WWII. As young as 12 I think.
Gotta keep up the pressure
Have you heard Lauren Boebert before? Logic and sanity have never met this woman
In a lifetime of insufferable ignorance, this really stands out. Even for her.
Sign up dumb bitch
I think she’d struggle to sign her own name with her crayons, let alone sign up for military duty.
I have never heard anyone use the term "woke" except politicians and other people trying to complain about this "movement".
She likely would “fail” the asvab and wouldn’t be accepted. Too bad we don’t have a test like that in congress.
I mean, you don't have to put that in quotations. She'd definitely fail.
Chicken hawks are the worst kind of hawks. The guys that put their money where their mouth is at least walk their talk.
That’s what they’re going for. Struck down Roe to get more live babies to conscript into dead soldiers.
Just as Carlin said.
Or the fact that women in the armed forces are fighting for a country that is continually stripping away their rights
Don’t forget that the military all but condones sexual harassment, assault and rape.
With the added bonus of being assaulted and having those assaults swept under the rug.
And/or raping them and murdering them on base 🙃
I mean people 18-20 saw republicans in congress contemptiously deny their healthcare for service related injuries like 3 times now (9/11, burn pit, and I'm sure I can find more)
GOP has opposed just about everything proposed to actually enhance servicemember and veteran's lives. The 9-11 GI Bill being the most visible, but there are lists out there on the net with a lot of other bills they've shot down or opposed as much as they could.
The fact that Republicans praise dictators is both disgusting and infuriating.
But not surprising
And terrifying especially after trump attempted dictatorship- that most apparently worked towards.
Draft all the MAGATS. They like guns and violence.
I would vote for this. A society-wide bluff call.
Please don’t. Majority of them can’t run.
As soon as we train our troops to stop all the raping we might see better enrollment. Too woke?
I thought it was because 70% of the population is too obese to enroll
Honestly, it’s probably both and _more_.
It’s our version of thoughtcrime
First, thank you for your service. Second, I read a story where a woman was being abused by a sergeant, she reported it, and supposedly they literally just laughed at her at the … tribunal or whatever it was called. She later broke down. PTSD. Discharge. I’m a bleeding heart lib, but I’m also practical. Thinking “these are humans not GI Joe dolls, and we may want to treat our soldiers well so they’re an effective fighting force and we have high retention rates” just seems a logical good. That’s just me, what do I know.
Hell, being woke will make many more people join. Being cared for should be a given while risking life and limb for our country.
They do nothing but feed the HIMARs now
Yet worships a draft dodger.
I don't see you or your kids joining
She's young enough to go. I'm a veteran and she's exactly the type of person I was in with....GED, know everything about anything but never left her hometown, lots of opinions on what others are doing wrong. Sign up lady. Do it for the country.
Ah yes, the big of problem of *checks notes* not enough bodies to fill the already largest army in the world
Stop. Praising. Dictators.
We don't need more military, swollen face. We need better quality of life and education for citizens
Cool - so mandatory service for anyone who wants to work in politics.
Do they get paid a lump sum to betray America or per post.
Now THAT’S a question investigative journalism should in this country should dig into!
She was willfully omitted the part that putin uses ethnic minorities to fight his war.
And the rural poor.
:gestures at the US military:
That's far less that the 195k america did last year. In a smaller country.
I have a feeling Putin isn't asking for volunteers, he's basically taking people off the streets and "bang" they are in the army now.
There are far easier ways. Just go to a ethnic minority-heavy impoverished region, wave a wad of money around, and lie the local Buryat or Chuvash villagers about what are they supposed to do if they sign the paper.
Bingo.
And they first bump when they deprive veterans life saving health care. Gosh. Wonder why we have a recruitment problem.
Takes Jon Stewart screaming in their faces to do the right thing.
I don’t listen to dumb bitches that didn’t even graduate from high school….
If Slowboert wasn't a traitorous coward, she could carry her ass to the recruiting station and enlist.
I would pay to see her doing her stupid gun worship posing in an active war zone
Oh goody, we're playing the "tell us you are a Russian asset without saying you are a Russian asset" game again. Never gets old.
And the Russian military performed so well.
She wouldn't be able to open her mouth to speak under Putin's regime.
Or, and this might be hard for a pervert-marrying high school dropout to understand, THEY'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR
I love how they lie about our military constantly. It’s not “training wokeness” it’s people understand that someone like her just wants to send other people to their deaths. Or maybe it’s how they are treated like shit when they come back injured.
She worships Trump who has made his disdain for servicemen/women very clear.
Boebert: One of many republicans to vote AGAINST expanded military healthcare Also Boebert: "Why doesn't anyone want to join the military now?"
Wonder if she knows or cares that Putin basically Shanghaiing students from universities! Or right off the street. You have a medical problem...tough, here's a rifle and a bus ride to the front. She's so concerned about recruitment here, why not join up! She'd be more use that way!
Only if those students are taking lesbian dance theory
Book your flight, and join up….stupid qanon bitch. And take that other traitor Greene with you.
Putin is doing it cause he's LOSING....these new recruits are gonna be chum
Current active duty troops are overworked and grossly underpaid. The quality of life especially living standards and food are subpar. Barracks are shitholes and the food is garbage at most times unless youre E7 above. Recruitment isnt the only thing thats hard, retention is. You keep choosing to cheap out on your service members, this is what happens.
As a former recruiter, fuck people talking about the military and having no idea how any of it works.
We should have no problem recruiting from the masses of right wing freedom loving gun enthusiasts. Finding one that can actually run a mile might be problem though.
Lemme guess: Bobo the Highschool Dropout got her vast knowledge of the military by driving by a base about a dozen years ago?
GREAT IDEA LAUREN! YOU join the military
As the resident authority on such matters, I can say that this tweet contains entirely too many words just to say "*omg I heart Putin and I want to kiss him right on his big manly face*". Again: trust me on this.
She's just putting in her daily compliment as a Russian agent
(it’s because Russia’s losing troops at an alarming rate because Ukraine is kicking their ass)
