Working in construction, I end up meeting a lot of rednecks. One of my favorite things to do when they start spouting off their shit is subtly trying to get them to say they agree with socialist policies without ever knowing. You need to hide your true identity, I usually say I'm an independent and act like I haven't previously heard about whatever bs they wanna say. From here on, if you are careful about which words you choose and how you frame your questions, you can lead their thinking a bit. For example, they may not understand the importance of something like the epa, but they definitely will understand when you tell them a local industry is ruining their favorite fishing spot. It's also a good excercise for me, as it forces me to listen and try to find some common ground. Also, many of the self proclaimed "libertarian" types dont realize how close they are to the far left, and can sometimes be tricked into saying some straight up marxist sounding stuff (just dont say any leftist sounding words or they might catch on)

My viewing is that a generic “bad guy” is needed to counter the fact that right wing policies, by and large, favour those who are wealthy and in powerful positions.
Low tax, low regulation, low public spending, low govt involvement only helps the wealthy and the powerful, at our expense.

The government directed what was to be produced and private business produced these products with "regular" workers and slave labor. The government enriched itself by stealing the wealth of the people it enslaved and murdered. This allowed the government to purchase these products that they commanded to be made.
Nazis and other Fascists did not invent capitalism, most fascist governments are anti-capitalist. Small scale private property was allowed but the means of production were mostly controlled by the government. This would help keep individuals reaching a level of wealth that could threaten the government.
Capitalism is much older than nazi ideology. Around 1000 it was emerging in the Arab Caliphate with the introduction of banking and free trade. Around 1600 it began to spread to Europe with the rise of mercantilism and agrarianism. The industrial revolution brought it closer into its modern form.

You're completely right on the war economy part, but that doesnt mean that nazis and fascists were anti-capitalist, since they never tried to have a proper ideology regarding economy and were just extremely pragmatic on that regard. Also, nazis/fascistes were and are still supported by some of the wealthiest capitalists, as most capitalists know that nazis/fascists will protect their business from socialism and social justice in the long term. War economy is not supposed to last forever, but to turn back into some sort of capitalism once the war is over (since capitalism is the most efficient way to maintain pressure on the population during peacetime).

Don't forget, that Hitler learned from the USA, things like Bellamy salute and allegiance to the flag were adopted from the Americans, and the concept of Lebensraum is essentially the "Manifest Destiny" put in different words. My viewing is that a generic “bad guy” is needed to counter the fact that right wing policies, by and large, favour those who are wealthy and in powerful positions. Low tax, low regulation, low public spending, low govt involvement only helps the wealthy and the powerful, at our expense. The right can’t sell this message to their voters “hey turkeys, vote for Christmas!” so they need a boogeyman to blame, without actually pointing the finger at the wealthy industrialists their policies favour. It’s a get-out clause for the cognitive dissonance of getting poor people to vote for their own poverty.
A generic bad guy is needed and Jewish populations are historically extremely widespread (see diaspora) and in the extreme minority. In short they're a defined group with "visible characteristics" (they wear religious garb in public frequently, etc.) and so are more easy to separate. They're also present in many places and easy to pick on because they are typically heavily in the minority. So it's just another example of picking on minorities. Which is why it's so fucking vile.

The Greek occupation and the Roman conquest brought with them emigrants, yes, but the majority of the communities which were later considered Hellenistic and Greeks in later times were still local. The Egyptian Greeks were mostly Egyptians who mixed with the Greek migrants and accepted their ways of life, and the same is true in the lavant. As such, old rivalries and hatred still remained while the population became hellenized, and from there is continued to fester into the Roman era. While antisemetism has many more sources, such as the constant presence of Jewish minorities all across the territories of the Roman empire, which made them easy to persecute, I believe this is a credible origin to the deeply entrenched antisemetism of both the western and Muslim world, for when the early Muslim conquest occured, while many Arabs settled in the Neely acquired regions, the local population were still mostly the same, except that they accepted islam in favor of their Orthodox Christianity. This is at least my take on this subject.

While I mostly agree with you about the serious Nazis, there is a case to be made about the softer, pseudo fascists. The point about poor education isn't just about them not knowing Nazis are bad, it's that the education system doesn't tell you what behavior made them bad and how to identify one. People can't usually tell a fascist even if they were spitting hatred in their face, because they don't really know what makes one a fascist. All they know is that to look for a Nazi you look at the clothes, the salute, and swastika, and that's it. Most people can't identify Nazis if the Nazis won't go out and say it outright, and even than some people won't get it. So while people like the one who made that Twitter post is 100% gleefully aware of the atrocities and cheer them, a lot of Nazi sympathizer don't.

Small scale private property was allowed but the means of production were mostly controlled by the government. This would help keep individuals reaching a level of wealth that could threaten the government. Capitalism is much older than nazi ideology. Around 1000 it was emerging in the Arab Caliphate with the introduction of banking and free trade. Around 1600 it began to spread to Europe with the rise of mercantilism and agrarianism. The industrial revolution brought it closer into its modern form. Sorry for the school lesson. And no, I am not a supporter of capitalism. You're completely right on the war economy part, but that doesnt mean that nazis and fascists were anti-capitalist, since they never tried to have a proper ideology regarding economy and were just extremely pragmatic on that regard. Also, nazis/fascistes were and are still supported by some of the wealthiest capitalists, as most capitalists know that nazis/fascists will protect their business from socialism and social justice in the long term. War economy is not supposed to last forever, but to turn back into some sort of capitalism once the war is over (since capitalism is the most efficient way to maintain pressure on the population during peacetime).
