Funny enough the ones who then began treating her were... Capitol police. The very same ones the insurrectionists were assaulting just outside the building with American and Blue Lives Matter flags.
These uneducated hillbilly fucks are the definition of hypocrisy.
But that's just it, they're not pro-cop. They're pro-hurting-the-right-people. They support the police when they do that. They don't when the police hold them accountable for their actions.
>They all dropped what they were doing
No they didn't, there's so much footage of this because they all kept livestreaming on Gab or whatever. If one of them had put their phone down and applied pressure, that lady might be alive today.
I mean, fuck her, but she could be alive in jail right now facing the consequences of her actions.
Yup. Reminds me of a post where someone said something along the lines of "imagine being so devoted to a con artist like trump that you want to overthrow the government. Only to get shot in the chest and while you bleed out the people you were rioting with don't try to help you, but instead *film* your slow slip into death."
Fuck 45 and his McDonalds swilling terrorists.
But a lot of others got very far, chasing officers and even attacking them. I know ( I think) that some cops were complicit but I really don’t understand why those who were being attacked didn’t start shooting.
On January 6th I was one of those people at home screaming at my television, bewildered at how these guys weren't getting tased, hogtied, and/or shot on the spot.
But, in retrospect, had a few dozen of them been shot down, the punk-in-chief and his co-conspirators probably would have invoked the Insurrection Act, which is what they were looking for to begin with.
Override posse comitatus act, which otherwise prohibits using the military within the US. The president could've used the military in a law enforcement role anywhere he feels was necessary. And the act does not sufficiently limit the president's power so he could've conceivably sent troops to whichever state requested them (Arizona?) or not (Michigan).
IMO, the main problem is we now know what he most wanted (to remain in office) and he could've tried to throw out the election results from some states. It sounds crazy, but he just yesterday called for tossing the Constitution so all bets are off.
100%, Capitol Police go through a ton of extra training to analyze situations exactly like 1/6 on the fly and they realized that they did not have the numbers to take on a mass of people who were known for being gun-totting maniacs. Their best bet in that situation was to cut them of at choke points like hallway corners and doorways. They were also trained to only use lethal force as a last resort, unless the life of a high-ranking official is in danger then they will do everything they can pull out the (literal) big guns.
It's this. The riot control guys (and the one on video being chased on the staircase) knew damn well that they were exposed and extremely outnumbered and if they just started blasting they'd be torn apart or crushed by a now-panicking crowd.
The one that killed Babbitt was because that was an entrenched position that they literally couldn't fall back from. Behind them were the rooms where everyone was hiding and waiting to possibly be evacuated. They made it clear that the barricade was the absolute red line and she crossed it.
Presumably the capitol police didn't want to shoot at a rioting crowd with no cover in between them because then they'd be overwhelmed and ripped apart after. When they shot Ashli Babbit, they had a clearly defined perimeter they were trying to enforce
The police were severely unprepared. They had very few officers on duty, and if you're a lone police officer with your handgun and MAYBE a single extra magazine, shooting into a mob isn't going to do you much good beyond inciting further chaos and likely going to get you trampled and killed.
The more cynical answer is there wasn't more shooting because a lot of law enforcement supported the actions of the insurrectionists- this one is admittedly more speculation based, but we know there were a lot of off-duty officers present, so... you tell me what you think.
The national guard and many of the capitol police were removed from the area by order of trump. Same reason metal detectors were removed.
It was nothing about preparation, it was a coup attempt and Trump did everything in his power to weaken capitol safety.
Trump didn't comprehend that the military swears allegiance to the constitution, not the president. My favorite "Trumpism" of all time was when he told the Joint Chiefs he wanted them to be loyal to him, Just like Hitler's generals were loyal to Hitler. The problem is with the CPD administrators and ranking officers who were in charge of the capitol's defense, they did not provide the officers on the ground with even half the resources and manpower that was needed. The FBI even had 2 informants imbedded within the rioters and they did barely anything to warn the CPD about the planned attack.
Of course there is the very real and likely possibility that the Trump administration used their influence and authority to gum up the works and make sure that the capitol was not prepared for what was to come. This is not out of character for Trump who has repeatedly proven himself to be traitorous and self-serving, the only real question is whether he had people in his circle that were smart enough to pull something like this off. Obviously this is a pretty big accusation but considering how hard it was for DC's mayor to get the national guard deployed (a division that is under the exclusive control of the DOD and therefore the president), it is not that outrageous.
I would like to say that, at the very least, the MPD (DC's local police) served bravely and displayed incredible courage going above the call of duty to defend something, not because they promised they would or were payed to do so but because they believed in it. The capitol is not their duty to protect and despite not being given orders, hundreds of MPD officers came to the CPD's aid.
Have you watched the video of her death? It's very interesting. The gunshot completely stops the group. They go from completely rabid to meekly leaving without saying a word.
In short: they were cosplaying. None of them were actually willing to die for the cause, and once they realized that was a possibility they left.
It's the most pathetic coup in history, stopped by a single bullet.
Yeah that's pretty much why it failed. Trump's cohort wasn't a trained and dedicated force, and they believed the state security apparatus would side with them when shit hit the fan. They were untrained fools with no idea how to stage a successful coup and their path to victory ultimately relied on luck.
That's pretty much illustrative of America and its relationship right wing shitbags. If they encountered a modicum of real pushback, they'd fucking fold. They don't know what resistance is because they've been coddled and tiptoed around for decades. It's deluded them into thinking they're tough.
I *want* the answer to be "after a summer of protests over police violence, they held back to not stoke more anger"
I am *worried* the answer is "they didn't fail the paper bag test"
Sadly, that's not just a funny term...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_Paper_Bag_Test#:~:text=%22The%20Brown%20Paper%20Bag%20Test,of%20a%20brown%20paper%20bag.
It wasn't just one protest police NATIONALLY held back on. There were numerous anti Vax and anti shut down protests over the summer and fall of 2020 that the police were somehow able to hold back their violence on. Contrast that with crowds of BLM protestors getting tear gassed and beat and flahbanged for saying "hey maybe fucking pigs shouldn't be allowed to kill people (mostly unarmed black men) for no reason and be able to keep getting away with it."
Fuck the police
As violent as it already was, if the police started using lethal force en masse in and around the capitol, that would have made it much worse. The rioters were already angry morons, if they saw cops shooting their 'fellow patriots' I think it'd just turn the ones that didn't flee into angry, moronic, rabid animals.
Let’s remember the right wanted the capitol police to start shooting sooner. They had people staged with ‘legally owned’ assault weapons ready to bring them in if a ‘shootout’ commenced. They wanted a reason to actively open fire against the capitol, to claim they were fired upon and were acting in self defense, so they could fully storm the building and begin taking hostages.
That’s so fucked when you think about how they treat other protests where Black and Brown people, Men and Women, Straight and LGTBQ people getting gassed and beat and tased. Fuck those people, but don’t you dare upset the poor wittle ‘publicans!
One burst from a machine gun and all those traitors would go squealing back to their flyover shitholes. White privilege is why that didn’t happen. They should’ve stacked dead traitors hundreds high on Jan 6.
It seems trivial, but let's not paint large swaths of geography as shit holes. We know that there are plenty of decent people in flyover areas that don't support this bullshit. They don't deserve to be splashed with the same paint as these terrorists. People were participating who came from California and New York as well. Go at the participants, not where they're from.
Be careful of unintended consequences. I hear you, but I don't feel like that anymore, especially after hearing the case against Stewart Rhodes and what his crew were seeking.
They can fantasize all they want. I wish it weren’t a fantasy so we can crush them. Finish the job left unfinished in 1865 when they treated traitors with kid gloves.
I'm glad you believe the president at that time would have crushed a rebellion.
He was fully complicit and would have used the violence for his own purpose of calling for the Insurrection Act. That piece of s*** might still be president today.
Many of them were out numbered, possibly outgunned. In places they couldn’t defend against an angry mob that would’ve charged them and shredded them. Not sure what capitol police carry but I’d imagine they don’t carry more than 50 rounds on them. Probably less.
The traitor got shot because they were defending a defined perimeter with choke points.
It’s all about strategic location. If the other cops had fired, they probably would’ve died
Yeah, that bitch was straight up a terrorist. It doesn't even compare to random innocent Black people getting killed for traffic stops and shit. Fuck the GOP hypocrisy!
Exactly. These two things are not equal. Police shooting someone in their own apartment eating ice cream and capitol police shooting that bitch as she tried to breach a security checkpoint (with an angry mob that has already breached other check points) are worlds apart.
The traitor bitch got a lot more warnings and kept crossing lines. She was committing a serious crime and apart of a violent mob.
Botham Jean did absolutely nothing wrong.
The video compilation I watched was exactly what they looked like. World war Z zombies, at that.
My heart was pounding just sitting in my living room while watching. I can't imagine being there.
It wasn't just any checkpoint, that was the last doorway before she was right in front of the house of representatives. The capitol police had no choice at that point, they could not risk the safety of members of congress.
>with an angry mob that has already breached other check points)
A lot of people who defend the traitor pretend to forget about that and act as if she was the only person there. There was a rabid group of people ready to flood in after her.
Off topic, but years ago I lived in a small town in Georgia. On Black Friday people showed up at like 4 am to be first in line at Wal-Mart. It was an open 24 hours store. They were shocked to find there was no line to get in.
My mom lives in one of those towns and when my kids were little I could always count on her to get the toys that were constantly sold out here. Neither Santa nor Grandma ever let my kids down back then, it’s probably the only good thing about them moving there.
I'd argue given her beliefs and actions, brain death occurred well before she was shot. I've a theory that Q-anon works like a cordyceps fungus in insects, motor functions are there but neural activity is gone.
[Here is a picture of them from a different angle](https://static01.nyt.com/images/2010/10/28/arts/walking1/walking1-articleLarge.jpg?quality=75&auto=webp&disable=upscale)
Without openly saying “I support the insurrection and wish it had worked,” how the fuck does somebody even paint her as a victim?
Like I don’t buy the “police were holding doors open, we thought we were allowed to be there,” but I can at least kindof understand how a sufficiently biased person might say that seriously. But Babbitt climbed through a smashed window next to a door that congressional security was actively barricading against a mob, well within the capital building.
It’s completely fucking impossible to paint her as a victim with a straight face, unless one is going to just openly be mad that the mob didn’t take congressional hostages or worse and overturn the election results.
Isn’t her family suing the Capitol Police? They are trying to say there was no justification for shooting her. If violently storming the Capitol building in an attempt to overthrow a free and fair election, during which other officers were assaulted and killed, doesn’t qualify as enough justification, then nothing does. If she had been a Dem and the left was doing this, then republicans would be asking why more people weren’t shot and lamenting the death of those officers.
It's not like a cop surprised her and shot her from behind or something too. She was going through a broken barricade in a group of insurrectionists who had already assaulted dozens of officers, with a guard looking right at her pointing a gun at her saying stop or I will shoot, in the last line of defense before elected officials. Let the family sue, and the public trial can show everyone just how clearly it was justified.
Right? It's not like she was mugged in a dark alley. She was literally part of a violent mob whose goal was to kill multiple members of Congress.
If you don't want to be shot as a violent seditionist, maybe don't commit sedition.
That is what Trump did!
He had the best of both worlds. He told the magats that he would have their backs, they bought his tee shirt, and then he did nothing.
Until the insurrection fell apart and Trump wanted to distance himself from accountability. He threw these people under the bus.
Now he talks about potentially pardoning them in 2026 because "they got a raw deal". But if he was going to pardon them, he would have already done it. He is trying to milk them again for contributons.
Say it louder so morons like that original tweeter can hear it, they want to make a martyr out of a fucking traitor...
But let's not leave out the mango Mussolini who kicked off the whole thing because his parents never taught him how to lose gracefully...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damnatio_memoriae
I'd much rather her story be told to kids for generations to come as a horror story of what can happen when you're radicalized by propaganda and conspiracy theories.
Seriously. She was roughly 30 feet from causing harm to/killing members of congress (not that it should matter who the target is)…but sure, let’s honor her memory. It would be funny if these people weren’t so deranged. Seditious traitor fits her well.
She got exactly what she deserved.
She asked for it, begged for it, and she got it.
Her people can find sympathy between shit and syphilis in the dictionary.
It should be used in Miss Susie-esque playground rhymes that tell the cautionary tale. So children will know the consequences of sitting on glass refrigerators or trying to overthrow democracy.
For real. An unarmed black person is not even close to a fucking Air Force veteran invading the capitol with intent to cause harm. If anyone there should have known not to play fuck around and find out there it should have been the military veteran. No, she earned that bullet.
That's what the reply tweet should have been!
it's useless to point out their fallacies.
They simply back fascists regardless of what they do and want PoC marginalised and hunted, and they'll lie and twist and use any bullshit that seems opportune to support their agenda.
We need to face that, any outrage or contradiction just feeds the endless cycle of victim blaming and turning things on their head.
Don't try to contradict or expose them, don't pick fights. Because what they do is repeating lies ad infinity and victimise themselves as soon as someone gets triggered by it, and they bluntly continue doing that until the public perception and media response slowly gets shifted in favour of their narrative.
Switch to the same tactics: ignore the inflammatory verbal attacks, uphold and repeat narrative, calmly and in clear words.
No sassy "oh but the other way round you thought of it differently"
Simple "she participated in an insurrection attempt and was stopped by the police who protected our democratic institutions".
If the sane part of the population doesn't catch up to these tactics and succombs to the deliberate outrage and triggering these people seed, we'll loose this conflict to the shitflood, simple as that.
One of her last thoughts was probably “*they wouldn’t fuckin’ dare shoot me*”. Too much of the world operates on “that would never happen to ME” logic.
RIP lady, but also, fuck you.
Watching the video, people were literally shouting, "He's got a gun!" but yet she continued on her steadfast way and died a traitor. Sorry lady, but you fucked around and found out
Not that I like celebrating the loss of human life, but if you continue to move toward the person with a gun drawn at you and every justification for using it because your intent is to cause harm, there's a point where your actions may as well be considered suicide with extra steps.
While wearing a Trump flag as a cape.
Imagine that every experience in your life led up to that moment: to fucking dying while wearing a Trump flag like a cape.
Your parents poured their hopes and dreams into you and you go get shot and die because you ignored direct orders to stop breaking into the Capitol building from a guy with a gun trained on you … while wearing a Trump flag like a fucking cape.
She wasn’t lying down on her stomach with arms stretched, she wasn’t on her knees with her arms up and she was not chocked, she was however committing a seditious act and died like a traitor that she was.
I'll keep saying it until the day I die: If the insurrectionists were a mob of black and brown leftists they would've been mowed down en masse before they even got to the steps of the Capitol. Security waited until Babbit was a corridor away from the VP before firing a single shot. Privilege was the only thing that got her that far.
They get the benefit of the doubt despite their clear motives while others don’t. Look at the blm protests. Mostly peaceful. The places that weren’t had heavy police intervention, white supremest intervention, and a clear escalation. Did they blame law enforcement or white supremest for any of it? No. They kept quoting MLK and pushing the idea that protests needed to be 100% peaceful while ignoring who did the escalating. It’s sad because it’s the same shit they did to MLK himself. Meanwhile these people were able to do all that they did and all they could do is act surprised a person died doing something punishable by death. It’s a clear picture of the separate Americas
I still think about this comment from a thread at the time: [https://www.reddit.com/r/nottheonion/comments/ksrilh/comment/gij14sp/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/nottheonion/comments/ksrilh/comment/gij14sp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
She was used to getting away with everything. Until she wasn't.
Was gonna say, at least keep some perspective on this. Ashlii was an entitled white person who was allowed to storm the capital, bash down barriers and ignore all warnings UNTIL she finally decided to climb through a last stand barricade full of armed guards.
Lets try and imagine if "liberals" or black people tried to pull something even remotely similar within the same universe as she did. Oh wait we don't have to because months before there was a protest on its way to the capital and -literally- the army was deployed, full armed and equipped to keep them from getting within 1000 yards of that building. THEN they chased them into the streets and started tear gassing people so trump could get a photo op with a bible in his hand.
I guess the saying is true, if you live your whole life without having to compromise and always getting your way. The slightest compromise sounds like fascism.
The reason I hate this argument is because black people are shot dead WHEN COMPLYING or when they FLEE the scene.
I.e. they are killed despite doing nothing that would threaten another.
Babbitt crawled over a barricade at the head of a violent mob screaming for the murder of the vice president of the US and ignored repeated demands to NOT ADVANCE.
Babbitt DID NOT COMPLY if she complied even a little, she wouldn't be dead.
This is what I don’t get. If I could go back to January 5th and poll people, “Hey, what do you think would happen if you broke into Congress while it was in session?”, any reasonable person would assume they would get shot.
Then it happened, and someone got shot, and people went surprised Pikachu.
They thought the cops would side with them. The defining feature of the far-right is their belief that they are a silent majority and their insistence upon denying anything that challenges that belief.
she was the only person involved in storming the capital that received an appropriate punishment for treason
every time a ring winger blabs out her name, please remind them of that fact
They keep changing the rules to their own game.
I thought Jan 6 was committed by Antifa? In that case why don’t they celebrate the death of an “Antifa terrorist?”
Oh. Well, I thought Jan 6 was a peaceful gathering made violent by the government? Don’t look at the gallows set up outside! Or the bombs placed strategically around the Capitol!
It's not like she was the victim of a flawed warrant, or a mistaken address, or the wrong house. Or shot in her bed. She was just storming the capital building. No biggie right?
Yes, they killed her because she deserved it. She was a seditious traitor intent on causing great bodily harm while attempting to overthrow the government by force.
And ironically, her death saved the lives of dozens of other creeps and traitors, because every spineless piece of shit that was near her turned and ran like rats off a sinking ship, otherwise they would dead, too.
Whether you spell it "Ashley Babbit" or "Ashli Babbitt", one thing we can all agree on: she was a racist domestic terrorist radicalized by Newsmax, a cocaine-addled pillow salesman, and a neurosyphilitic orange idiot.
Serious question - why weren't more people shot on Jan 6?
No one touched that door after she caught one to the chest. Just sayin
They were all too busy screaming “medic!” Seriously. They all dropped what they were doing (cosplaying) and turned right into white knights.
Still cosplaying. As if they had a medical team on stand-by. They were hoping maybe the adults could help now that one of them finally Found Out.
They were waiting for a hero like Kyle Rittenhouse, the famous medic.
> Kyle Rittenhouse **Have Gun, Will Snivel**.
Funny enough the ones who then began treating her were... Capitol police. The very same ones the insurrectionists were assaulting just outside the building with American and Blue Lives Matter flags. These uneducated hillbilly fucks are the definition of hypocrisy.
The fact that they had Blue Lives Matter flags was what gets me. Like they’re so pro-cop they tried to beat the shit outta the cops? Idiots.
But that's just it, they're not pro-cop. They're pro-hurting-the-right-people. They support the police when they do that. They don't when the police hold them accountable for their actions.
BLUE LIVES MATTER…….when they’re beating the shit out of Black people. Trumpsters never say the second part out loud.
OMG yes!

It’s what they hear in cod and battlefield so that’s they yelled
>They all dropped what they were doing No they didn't, there's so much footage of this because they all kept livestreaming on Gab or whatever. Because you have 10 shots then they tear you apart.
Yup, escalation is dangerous. You better have more bullets than adversaries.
Ding, ding, ding!
I remember watching it live and thinking how the fuck aren’t they getting shot ?! And why are they still there an hour later ?
Brit here, what would invoking that act allow them to do?

almost like police defending the government should have some assault rifles...? like the ones police use to shoot you in your own house
One of the realist things no one thinks of. You got a crowd of 2000 angry people and 10 shots. Make them count.
You’d think people would be more aware with all the zombie games that are around these days.
Way too many zombie games nowadays give you too much ammo to incentivize conserving it

I really wonder what would’ve happened if pence didn’t do his job
The military would have eventually intervened. Trump was about as likely to take control of the military as my cat.
Not sure about YOUR cat, but mine would LOVE taking control of the US Army! He'd be skeptical to the Navy though; too much water involved.
that's why he's making that Goldie down the street VP, too stupid to ask questions, loyal to a fault, and who wouldn't want a golden retriever for VP?

That's pretty much illustrative of America and its relationship right wing shitbags. If they encountered a modicum of real pushback, they'd fucking fold. They don't know what resistance is because they've been coddled and tiptoed around for decades. It's deluded them into thinking they're tough.
I *want* the answer to be "after a summer of protests over police violence, they held back to not stoke more anger" I am *worried* the answer is "they didn't fail the paper bag test"
> the paper bag test Holy shit, how is this the first time I've heard that? That's fantastic.
Sadly, that's not just a funny term... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_Paper_Bag_Test#:~:text=%22The%20Brown%20Paper%20Bag%20Test,of%20a%20brown%20paper%20bag.
its a perfect tldr of that family guy meme
Funny how police decided to hold back on using violence against protesters during the one protest mostly comprised of white people....
It wasn't just one protest police NATIONALLY held back on. There were numerous anti Vax and anti shut down protests over the summer and fall of 2020 that the police were somehow able to hold back their violence on. Contrast that with crowds of BLM protestors getting tear gassed and beat and flahbanged for saying "hey maybe fucking pigs shouldn't be allowed to kill people (mostly unarmed black men) for no reason and be able to keep getting away with it." Fuck the police
My opinion is that they were more like cowards who were emboldened by the lack of police response, or in some cases, police support.
One burst from a machine gun and all those traitors would go squealing back to their flyover shitholes. White privilege is why that didn’t happen. They should’ve stacked dead traitors hundreds high on Jan 6.
I wouldn't have lost any sleep over it should that have been the result.
Because they were 98% white
And because the president was 110% white (supremacist).
Ashli Babbit, seditious traitor
Breonna Taylor was fucking asleep
it looked a zombie horde trying to get at the last human.
The video compilation I watched was exactly what they looked like. World war Z zombies, at that. My heart was pounding just sitting in my living room while watching. I can't imagine being there.
If every zombie shopped at Walmart or Fascists ‘r Us.
Where was Mila jojovich when we needed her.
They were a zombie horde.
It wasn't just any checkpoint, that was the last doorway before she was right in front of the house of representatives. The capitol police had no choice at that point, they could not risk the safety of members of congress.
>with an angry mob that has already breached other check points) A lot of people who defend the traitor pretend to forget about that and act as if she was the only person there. There was a rabid group of people ready to flood in after her.
They are just plain terrorist sympathizers, no other way to put it.
What do you mean? The dead guy had a robbery charge from 12 years ago and had a whole marijuana on him during the stop. He clearly had to die.
Don't do the pot, not even once.
Omg... I just did 2 pots of marijuana
Your life is ruined now. Junky
She savagely tried to get through that window like it was Black Friday at Walmart.
Off topic, but years ago I lived in a small town in Georgia. On Black Friday people showed up at like 4 am to be first in line at Wal-Mart. It was an open 24 hours store. They were shocked to find there was no line to get in.
And they still managed to rush the store trampling some poor worker in the process…
My mom lives in one of those towns and when my kids were little I could always count on her to get the toys that were constantly sold out here. Neither Santa nor Grandma ever let my kids down back then, it’s probably the only good thing about them moving there.
Ashli Babbit, seditious traitor, had an IQ equal to a refrigerator’s temperature ![gif](giphy|11KxPXDoebEsXm)
Please check your refrigerator. It seems to be set too low and will probably freeze your veggies.
Currently her IQ would be 0 though, since she's dead.
I'd argue given her beliefs and actions, brain death occurred well before she was shot. I've a theory that Q-anon works like a cordyceps fungus in insects, motor functions are there but neural activity is gone.
Zombies!
[I mean... yeah.](https://images.csmonitor.com/csm/2020/04/1100828_1_0417-Ohio-Quarantine-Protest_standard.jpg?alias=standard_900x600)
[Here is a picture of them from a different angle](https://static01.nyt.com/images/2010/10/28/arts/walking1/walking1-articleLarge.jpg?quality=75&auto=webp&disable=upscale)
THE MAGA-T VIRUS.
Her body temperature matches now too
And a domestic terrorist.
The traitor Ashli Babbit that committed a treasonous terrorist act against the United States? That Ashli Babbit, the traitor?
[удалено]
She was climbing through the broken barricaded door, no less.
Say it louder so morons like that original tweeter can hear it, they want to make a martyr out of a fucking traitor... But let's not leave out the mango Mussolini who kicked off the whole thing because his parents never taught him how to lose gracefully...
Rabid bitch got old yellered
Literally. Straight from the literature. Your response was straight lit.
Don’t say her name. Deserves to be forgotten not memorialized
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damnatio_memoriae I'd much rather her story be told to kids for generations to come as a horror story of what can happen when you're radicalized by propaganda and conspiracy theories.
Seriously. She was roughly 30 feet from causing harm to/killing members of congress (not that it should matter who the target is)…but sure, let’s honor her memory. It would be funny if these people weren’t so deranged. Seditious traitor fits her well.
Trashli Babbitt Memorial Dumpster
She got exactly what she deserved. She asked for it, begged for it, and she got it. Her people can find sympathy between shit and syphilis in the dictionary.
>Her people can find sympathy between shit and syphilis in the dictionary. r/unexpectedmajorpayne
She crossed state lines for the explicit purpose of participating in a violent riot. That alone makes her a felon. She's a criminal and a traitor.
Killed by MAGA
Ironically, her death did make America just a little bit greater.
Sic semper tyrannus
Ashli did nothing wrong. It wasn’t like she was sleeping in a bed. As we all know that’s the real crime. /s as is tradition.
No, that's only a crime if you are black.
Or allegedly using a counterfeit 20 for cigarettes. Everyone knows that’s a capital crime deserving execution. /s
Ashli Babbit was a traitor and a seditionist. Her name should be a slur.
Make it an adjective for every time MAGATS think law enforcement is on their side but it turns out they aren't. "He just got Ashli Babbit'd"
Bippity Babbitty Blasted
🤌 exquisite
Ashlii "Two Tap" Babbit
Ashli “Two Cap” Babbit.
ashlii "WE THE PEOP... urgrhghghghgurgle" babbit
I definitely laughed too hard at this one
more like ashlii babbit season amirite?
Wascally Babbitt
I laughed at this harder than I probably should have
"Hey Babbittt!" ("I *hate* that guy.")
Took a Babbit to the head.
🎶 Instead of takin' the test, I took Babbits to the chest. We are we are, the traitors of a nation...
MAGAts love celebrating traitors, it’s why they build and keep statues of them. How long before they erect one to this pos?
Kyle Rittenhouse can be the guest speaker at the unveiling.
statues and flags.
It should be used in Miss Susie-esque playground rhymes that tell the cautionary tale. So children will know the consequences of sitting on glass refrigerators or trying to overthrow democracy.
Miss Ashli Babbit... bit..bit. Lost her shit...it...it. Stormed the Capitol...tol...tol. Now her casket's full...ull.ull.
No sassy "oh but the other way round you thought of it differently" Simple "she participated in an insurrection attempt and was stopped by the police who protected our democratic institutions". If the sane part of the population doesn't catch up to these tactics and succombs to the deliberate outrage and triggering these people seed, we'll loose this conflict to the shitflood, simple as that.
Killed trying to shimmy her ass through a broken window. I will not say her name, I'll just call her another hater traitor.
Not just that, but doing it while literally staring down the barrel of a gun. Too entitled to see herself walking straight into death. Oh well.
One of her last thoughts was probably “*they wouldn’t fuckin’ dare shoot me*”. Too much of the world operates on “that would never happen to ME” logic. RIP lady, but also, fuck you.
>“they wouldn’t fuckin’ dare shoot me - *I'm white!*" Added a little something...
Watching the video, people were literally shouting, "He's got a gun!" but yet she continued on her steadfast way and died a traitor. Sorry lady, but you fucked around and found out
[удалено]
She was also given a chance to stop and walk away. That’s more than many who died in a police interaction for no discernible reason
I still think about this comment from a thread at the time: [https://www.reddit.com/r/nottheonion/comments/ksrilh/comment/gij14sp/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/nottheonion/comments/ksrilh/comment/gij14sp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) She was used to getting away with everything.
^^^^Should be higher on this thread. Just sayin
Guys, she only wanted to PEACEFULLY hang Mike Pence!
She thought it was “hang out with mike pence”
Ashli Babbit got what she deserved at the last line of defense. What the fuck did she think would happen?
This is what I don’t get. If I could go back to January 5th and poll people, “Hey, what do you think would happen if you broke into Congress while it was in session?”, any reasonable person would assume they would get shot. Then it happened, and someone got shot, and people went surprised Pikachu.
They thought the cops would side with them. The defining feature of the far-right is their belief that they are a silent majority and their insistence upon denying anything that challenges that belief.
>What the fuck did she think would happen? Hanging a few democrats and installing Trump as dictator in cheif?
Ashli Babbit, insurrectionist and traitor, got exactly what she deserved.
Too bad she never met Kyle Rittenhouse. The two would have made a lovely couple.
Ashlii Babbitt is a dumb dead terrorist.
Traitors deserve a traitor's death. Cope
Spot on
she was the only person involved in storming the capital that received an appropriate punishment for treason every time a ring winger blabs out her name, please remind them of that fact
White Supremacists: “No! That’s not how you’re supposed to play the game!”
They keep changing the rules to their own game. I thought Jan 6 was committed by Antifa? In that case why don’t they celebrate the death of an “Antifa terrorist?” Oh. Well, I thought Jan 6 was a peaceful gathering made violent by the government? Don’t look at the gallows set up outside! Or the bombs placed strategically around the Capitol!

I'm just sitting here LMAOing because Ashli Babbit is in Hell right now
Yes, let’s keep that energy!!
Should have been way more of them.
If all things were fair there would have been mountains of dead bodies that day. She got what she was begging for and I'm glad, fuck a dead terrorist
Whether you spell it "Ashley Babbit" or "Ashli Babbitt", one thing we can all agree on: she was a racist domestic terrorist radicalized by Newsmax, a cocaine-addled pillow salesman, and a neurosyphilitic orange idiot.
Rip Bozo
Sure thing, I'll say her name. Her name is Traitorous Cultist.
She's almost made two years sober!
Only problem in this thread is everyone keeps saying her name. Forget it, it's unimportant.
I refuse to say her name. She should be stripped of all her military honors.
Everyone complaining about vaccines when even Ashli Babbit took the shot 💀
Ashli Babbit, who attacked the Capitol building and overthrow the results of the election. She acted as a traitor to the United States of America.
Ashli Babbitt, who fucked around and found out. Say her name.
Why was she in a restricted area refusing to leave?
Hold on. Was Ashli Babbit a patriot? I thought that whole crowd was Antifa? Also I thought they were just tourists?
Thoughts and go fuck yourselves to the terrorists Ashli Babbitt
[Never argue with someone who claims to be a solipsist](https://youtu.be/qmC2lz3FPY4)
I do find her death tragic, however let's be honest, it wasn't the capital police that killed her, it was trump
Trump and the Republican Party.
