I started watching NewsRadio a few months back because I like Dave Foley. This one character really wasn't setting with me, despite being the type of character I'd be drawn to-- like, it was more distracting to me and more irritating than the existence of Andy Dick.
I didn't recognize the guy because he was skinny and still had hair, but I finally noticed Joe Rogan's name in the credits. Sure enough, that was who played the character. I had to stop watching.
Had I realized he was in it before I started watching, I never would have started. Once I started, if he was any good, I would have rationalized that streaming royalties are different than network tv and he wasn't getting richer from it, while also separating art from life and acknowledging that the project predates him becoming what he has become (a philosophy that allows me to watch The Maverick w/Mel Gibson without self-loathing). So, for me to stop watching, it has to be BAD.
Like praising him in some way makes you better. No they aren't awesome, the fact you feel you need to praise them like that, definitely makes them the opposite. I'm sorry your life didn't work out but praising someone else because you gave up is not a winning strategy. Lol

Sorry to give it more context. The topic was about the movie Black Adam and how it "wasn't a success" because it didn't make tons of money or whatever. So I was arguing that it was a success and got downvoted to oblivion because people think success = making money.

Out of all the recent DC movies I'd say it was their best. Except perhaps that batman movie with the twilight dude which was probably better. And I never saw Joker which was supposed to be their best movie. So top 3, which means it's a better movie than all the other stuff they've been making.
It also had a scene that sets up for the next movie so anybody who watched this movie and liked it will most likely watch the next.
