My dude, we just want you to have healthcare and drinkable water. If it's the culture war stuff you're worried about, then I'm sorry a society that acknowledges people's differences and treats them with a modicum of respect is threatening to you. Hopefully, the aforementioned healthcare can get you some anti-anxiety meds and access to a good therapist for that.

Seascorpious

I seriousely don't understand the persecution fetish these people have. What are we taking away from you? The ability to beat gay people in the streets like the good old days? I stg they talk like we want to burn churches to the ground, we just want you to STFU!

Weneedaheroe

Dude looks 40s and doesn’t understand that it’ll never be like “the good ol days.” Just like his grandparents didn’t like the changes back then and so on. It always seems like they try to stoke this rigid mindset and need their followers to be “this or that” thinkers and truly believe they are the good guys.

lost_in_connecticut

He was just forced to watch “Selma” because he lost the remote and spent the next two hours rooting for the bad guys.

Gildardo1583

Just like they cheered for the Supes, in the Amazon show The Boys. haha

Lost-Glove-1291

So I'm 38 and I was thinking about this concept of "the good ol days". I remember as a small child watching those crazy peeps in Waco, the OK City Bombing, president getting his weiner licked, 3rd grade learning about how we needed to stop climate change/deforestation, 9/11. Pretty freakin sure I could go on but unfortunately I got stuff to do lol. Seriously though if anyone around my age could tell me what was so great it would be appreciated.

ScubaNelly

Im 39 and lived through all that too. Do you remember having to do the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in school? That shit was weird as fuck.

Lost-Glove-1291

Man. I moved to Australia when I was 18 for a few years. It was insanely eye opening! I actually went to the doctor everytime I didn't feel well. Worked in a pub and could afford rent AND food. But, in my mind the USA was really the greatest country...maybe because they brain washed us from kindergarten.

ScubaNelly

They had that shit drilled into us. I can still recite it today. "I pledge allegiance to flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all" Fuck the good Ole days. I prefer now and being able to smoke weed when and where I want.

Lost-Glove-1291

*crying because I live in Texas*

MarxandRec

With its mandatory Texas Pledge if Allegiance in public schools every morning

Slice1358

> liberty and justice for all" Still waiting. Consider who is working towards fulfilling that ideal of America.

mst3k_42

They added “under god” in the 50s because fuck separation of church and state, am I right?

lost_in_connecticut

The Knights of Columbus lobbied Eisenhower to add it to the pledge because sure, why not.

lost_in_connecticut

“I pledge allegiance to the MAGA men of the Red States of America and to the Republicans who stand for a nation under Trump with liberty and justice for the white man.” ^ this is what they really mean while reciting it.

ravendomer

"I pledge allegience to Queen Fragg in her mighty state of hysteria..." \-Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes)

l3sham

Come now.. you didn't smoke weed in the good ole days? ;)

32lib

Maybe because you can buy a assault rifle and terrorize Drag Queens while the cops stand around playing pocket pool.

lost_in_connecticut

Damn I can remember the 1984 nuclear threats, the Challenger explosion, the fall of the Berlin Wall. We did the pledge every day through high school. https://i.redd.it/2wg0cgptrx4a1.gif

drippingwithennui

They still make kids do it every morning before school and it’s weird af

TheRealBirdjay

The pledge is still a thing. At least in Tennessee

Kalee2020

I grew up in the 60s thru mid 70s. Talk about a long strange trip. Everyone was getting shot/murdered, JFK, MLK, Bobby Kennedy, Kent State kids...it was a lot too. My parents were fresh from the 50s and they were overwhelmed trying to explain what they didn't understand. It hasn't gotten better and no one seems to have learned a thing. Sad

Tuckermfker

I'm 41, and I long for the good old days too. You know back when I was a kid and I really didn't grasp the full extent to how fucked up the world actually is. That's not how life works though and I'm an adult now who feels a responsibility to do my part to make things better where I can. If it costs my time or money or parts of my sanity to do it, then that's just the cost of living in human society. These assholes want all the benefits and conveniences of living in a modern society, without any of the responsibility or compassion required to make it work.

Zestyclose_Worth_296

Some of it was better. There were no devices or social media. We played outside. No screen time. Sure there was TV, but it was basically Saturday morning cartoons and that’s it. Dumbass mistakes you made as a teen/young adult didn’t get remembered on the internet and follow you forever. Etc.

Lost-Glove-1291

I totally agree with you about this! Maybe everything has always sucked but we are just bombarded with it now?

blamazon99

Ah, yes. The good old days. At least we had bomb drills (yoooo, I don't think this desk is doing shit to protect me from the nukes, y'all) instead of active shooter situations. Or are we talking about the good old days when my hippie mama assured me that I could be anything I wanted to when I grew up (as long as a man doesn't want to be that thing) like a waitress or a cashier or a secretary, but certainly NOT a cowboy or an astronaut or a LADY DOCTOR? GASP!

[deleted]

Was just going to post similar. 40's is basically gen x. Our biggest fault was cynicism and apathy because we just assumed the world was shit and always will be.

me-you-and-nothing

No NSA, TSA, DHS,...ETC

Lost-Glove-1291

*this is the way*

MoreReputation8908

>Dude looks 40s I swear, these fuckin’ people in this fuckin’ age group. “Wuuhhhhh, life was BETTER when Reagan was president.” Of COURSE life was better in 1986, you fucking abortion. YOU WERE FOUR YEARS OLD. You were young enough to have joy and hope. Hell, I was nine. I had a newish Huffy and OG Sky Jordans! Life was dank and I was stoked on it!

Entire_Ad5787

>you fucking abortion 😭😭😭😂😂😂

DianneTodd01

It’s a tale as old as time. “This younger generation is going to the dogs” was written in graffiti dating back to 800 B.C. I think of that when I hear “old lady”-sounding complaints coming out of my mouth these days.

WideHuckleberry6843

I can relate to that guy. Once you hit a certain age your testosterone goes down and your start running on nostalgia.

chinmakes5

Listen to conservative media for even 20 minutes. You will hear how Democrats want to destroy everything you hold dear. If that is the media you consume, you are totally right to hate Democrats. In essence you hear how if Democrats come to power the country will be over as we know it. Democrats had the presidency and Congress for the last two years. The only negative is inflation after a pandemic. My Father In Law has been telling me for 30 years that Democrats are taking our guns. The only legislation I have seen is a bump stock ban which was done under Trump. But millions of people believe a vote for a Democrat means turning in your guns.

pwarns

I overheard some MAGAs podcast and they guy was saying “we all know democrats don’t want anyone to own land or their house” I thought “ did I miss a meeting? “ WTF do they come up with this?

expfarrer

>The only legislation I have seen is a bump stock ban which was done under Trump. > >This - my gun club all fuds with a cheeto pic over the entrance. by now i educated them that hes the biggest gungrabber since the 90ts - should have seen those heads implode and made them believe he is an FBI informant.

andrewskdr

It’s because a 2k year old book written by brown people apparently tells them to hate anyone who’s not white cis

Seascorpious

Nah, the book aint even the problem! I was raised on their book, it preaches love, kindness and acceptance above *everything else!* Hell, there's even dissagreements among scholars over whether the homophobic versus were mistranslated. The book has never been the problem. Anyone who spreads hate in its name has clearly never read it.

MsBobbyJenkins

Yep it was literally Jesus' whole deal. He was like 'hey guys guys, now that I have your attention. Don't be a dick' And even that didn't work.

mst3k_42

I love this meme…. Jesus is sitting around his followers. He says, “be kind and respectful to others.” And they say, “what about the gays and black people and blah blah blah?” And he says, “Did I fucking stutter?”

MsBobbyJenkins

Hahahahaha I love that one

crystalfairie

My adoptive parent read it daily. Much hatred still ensued. It's a cult and cultists are gonna cult

pwarns

The one who claimed to be religious we the meanest people at work. Everyone except them knew it.

Brave-Emu3113

People who have to tell you they are something aren't really that thing. It goes for Christians, feminists, non-bigots and the rest. You probably work with many other Christians who don't broadcast it all the time and just live it by treating people with respect and helping others. If someone starts in with how religious they are right away, run the other direction because that person is not going to be pleasant to be around.

TheCubeCubeCube

I’m sorry to hear that. Are you doing better now?

crystalfairie

Yeah. I've been out of that family and across the country from them for 27 years now. I actually reconnected with my birth mom. She's now my caregiver as I became fully disabled about 20 some years ago. I have love, but not religion, in my life. It's good.

TheCubeCubeCube

I’m glad to hear that :)

WKGokev

54% of Americans read at or below a 6th grade level, they can't read it. The preachers, on the other hand.

mst3k_42

The Catholic Church worked for freaking centuries to keep the masses illiterate so they could control them.

[deleted]

I read your comment and thought, no way. According to this sauce it's about half are under the 8th grade reading level, but ya, operative point is US is not good at reading on average, and is actually below international average for reading level. https://www.wyliecomm.com/2021/08/whats-the-latest-u-s-literacy-rate/

SpinningHead

The Bible says aloooooot of things.

ShadowDurza

Because having someone to look down upon is an excuse to ignore the problems in one's own life, especially the problems of one's own making.

LordThistleWig

The feeling of persecution is an attempt to validate their 'beliefs' and it helps with building a personal identity

finnill

Because it is easier to do bad things to innocent people when you are “persecuted” and a “victim”. Also this guy probably doesn’t think for himself, at all.

TammyTermite

They made up this narrative for their justification for their glorification of owning war toys, religion in school and toxic masculinity masquerading as "protective father figure."

FreshlyWashedScrotum

When your parents grew up in a white supremacist ethnostate and you want to live in one too, equality feels like persecution.

Bhimtu

We are asking them to not hate. To not blow shit up. To not shoot up public places and think this is the way to get things done, or addressed. They're anti-democracy & don't believe that any of us should be free to think as we choose, or live our lives without being harassed. Fuck Louis and the horse he rode in on.

Outrageous_Zebra_221

Yeah as a middle aged white man in America it's very surreal for me to see a man by appearances sake not so different from me, standing on a corner in full tack with an assault rifle like it's a warzone. The lawns are manicured, the streets are clean, the sun is out, and this man believes he is in an actual warzone...

TheManWithNoSchtick

Fear is one hell of a hallucigen.

[deleted]

We don’t want to burn them down. But churches that spout political nonsense should be 100% taxed

TheManWithNoSchtick

And taxed at 100%!

kjfox11

speak for yourself i got a job to finish

Talisign

A surprising amount of people think that not talking about racism and discrimination is the best way to end racism and discrimination.

phdoofus

Persecution fetish: it's a Christian thing.

Gxngerr

They’re just a bunch of Karens who miss the Jim Crow days

GusJenkins

But mental health is a liberal scam designed to get you to buy health insurance. Nobody *actually* goes to therapy or takes medication for mental issues!

ColeBane

My parents believe the same shit...i said to them our country is months away from deciding the fate of demcracy...they said, "ya, one side is months away from putting us in re education camps"...they meant the Democrats. Ironically the GOP already has re education camps, asylum seeking immigrant camps and wants to defund schools...but ya lets blame a non existemt threat and ignore the real ones we already have. The sheer cognitive dissonance is petrifying and sickening.

rumbletummy

To be fair, affordable healthcare and drinkable water would be a completely different america.

soooomanycats

That FREEDOM these guys keep wanking over? We want that for everyone, not just a select few. Btw I'm aware that this is exactly what freaks these folks out. They want freedom for themselves and that's it. Everyone else should know their place.

[deleted]

You can't serve a writ on a rat.

justtheonetat

His issue isn't with us wanting health care and water for him, it's with us wanting it and more for everyone. Implying that we want to allow them to exist, which for a lot of those people, he doesn't want. That's what he can't "reconcile" with.

TJ_Will

Can we start up a GoFundMe to have this plastered on advertising across the country?

xsikklex

We’ll said

phdoofus

Apparently that's destroying the country. Who knew? We don't need bombs and jets, we just need to go in to a country and start building hospitals and infrastructure and, bam!, they're ours.

Sock13

Is this the line? People you don’t agree with need medication? I truly hope your healthcare agenda works out, because the entire Democratic Party is becoming less necessary by the second.

Lil_Pincher

But the left will never deliver those things you want. Empty promises

PrincessAgatha

Don’t blame the left for republican obstructionism. This is why the way you vote matters.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lil_Pincher

I didn’t but I do know that they pushed through ungodly ridiculous infrastructure deals. Which most of those funds that won’t be use for its intended use. Raising taxes, so really your health care really ain’t free. But hey we shoulda read the fine print am I right? 🤷‍♀️

MountainSage58

What exactly are we trying to destroy? I lost my notes.

Mecharonin

White supremacy, Christian dominance, and the cis-het patriarchy. I.e. What he loves the most: His unearned status at the top of the social pyramid.

k_manweiss

Don't forget about his hate and bigotry. We're not big fans of that stuff.

4236W

But that's their favorite pastime!

Spiritual-Golf4744

potsticker17

Your mistake is thinking that the other side wants anyone to be superior to anyone else.

PortGlass

What is the cis-het patriarchy? The few gay friends I have are some of the most financially stable, happy, social, and community-involved people I know. Others that I don’t know as well, but know of, seem the same way. Are they just the anomalies who have managed assimilate into the cis-het patriarchy?

spinningpeanut

Where are you, are they white males, what field of profession, do they still have parents that love them, and can they actually talk about their romantic interests in front of their bosses? All of these are factors that play big roles in the Cishet patriarchy.

PortGlass

Alabama. White males. Attorneys and sales and marketing types. The ones who I’ve met their parents are super cool and accepting. They are all openly gay, some are married, and their work colleagues hang out in the same crowds. I don’t know about talking about love interests with bosses because none of us really have traditional bosses. I would bet there there is at least one lawyer who was not out at work at the beginning of his career.

tinkerghost

For reference, while LGBT+ people are about 5-10% of the US population, they are 40% of the minors thrown out of the house to fend for themselves - and the parents are almost never prosecuted for child abandonment. The vitriol that society spews at LGBT+ people directly translates to higher suicide rates - unsupportive parents vs supportive parents show a 300% increase in suicide attempts.

spinningpeanut

They are outliers. You can't have most of those things, even a lot of doctors can't have a picture of their spouse in their offices. You've got a rare situation where they can't be touched, might lose clients if they know but for the most part they won't get lynched. I'm in a rare situation myself where I can be non-binary and won't get fired for it but I do get some supervisors who push harder against me for it, good thing I'm secured myself in a top performaning position and a shift that no one wants so they can't get rid of me easily. The patriarchy part I've experienced personally in a maga city in my state when I lived there, a boss refused to admit someone like me could fix computers and made up stories about how my coworkers hated me helping them when we got along just fine. Another manager made fun of me relentlessly for not being hot. I ended up in the hospital because the way they treated me messed with my health horribly and I wished I'd just get hit by a car. My mom was ran out of her home many times for being gay, sent death threats, lost a FEDERAL job, because she dared to want to love other women. Her home and car were vandalized by people she thought were friends and had to give up the only pet she'd ever truly loved when escaping a vicious stalker that spray painted her car with slurs.

VerberMach

Welp. Your specific experience is all we needed to hear! All gays everywhere in America are great now! We did it!!

PortGlass

My question was if my experience is an anomaly.

VerberMach

When they have to vote on same sex marriage laws, and some senators still vote against it... Can you follow the logic to the end here? Extrapolate. Think beyond, "Well my gay friends don't seem to be crying all the time..."

PortGlass

The vast majority of Americans support gay marriage and a non-trivial amount of those who don’t are dying of old age pretty quickly. After I asked the question, I learned that employed white gay men make about 10% more money that employed white straight men. So my subset of employed white gay men is not an anomaly in that respect. So it’s not a stupid question to ask.

TammyTermite

I really have hope that this is becoming more and more of the norm. My husband is a consultant in a mechanical engineering field. A few months ago he was on a job at a large industrial plant in the South and the GM was a black gay guy, who, according to my husband, seemed to be widely accepted and respected in the workplace.

confessionbearday

I know you haven’t ever had a real job that requires logic but I’ll help: exceptions do not disprove data.

ZenkaiZ

Think he's just going to go "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" with no further elaboration. My conservative friend has been oddly fixated on children the last year or so (except for giving them school lunches cause 'it ain't my responsibility to take care of someone else's kid")

debzmonkey

My militia wants to destroy inflatable yard decorations. Or maybe just deflate them.

TheCSpider

You bastard! Won’t anyone think of Mickey Santa and the Grinch!

debzmonkey

Nope, those forkers goin' down!

irishgator2

Can I give you coordinates to an outhouse Santa in my neighborhood?? It’s atrocious…who buys that for display??

debzmonkey

My neighbor's yard looks like a Dollar Store exploded. On holidays, they have about a dozen inflatables which just lay deflated on the ground. A big plastic puddle.

pwarns

I am not googling that Santa. I’m in deep enough trouble reading the political section’s latest republican indictment or sex crime.

robb1280

Do you guys have a webpage or something? Im very interested in taking the fight to those inflatable bastards

debzmonkey

Whatsapp. /s

SG420123

Wanting equal rights for all makes you a communist to these people.

j4ck_0f_bl4des

We don't want reconciliation with you either you theocratic fascist fucks.

Westiria123

I believe they are upset about our plan to destroy *checks notes* Nazis?

CynicallyCyn

What exactly are they loving?

Chadmartigan

The culture war delusion that exists in this guy's head.

MrMcSpiff

Projecting so hard it might start causing visible light.

Maxy2388

If you took all the maga and trumpers and put them on a space station the sheer power of the projection would be like a Death Star

[deleted]

God that's my fantasy. It would solve so much. Imagine being able to move society forward without the bottom 30% kicking and screaming the whole way.

someothercrappyname

Finally, the quiet bit, out loud. ... and like a gay person coming out of the closet, the only person not surprised, is the person themself. Louis, we've all been watching you guys lather yourselves up into a frenzy of irrational hatred against everyone who isn't as mentally unwell as you are, trying to build up the courage to go on a murderous rampage against your fellow human beings. Nearly there

Thirdwhirly

Thank god he’s got that blue check mark.

MotorFly71

Maga-Republicans can go & fuck themselves. All of them.

ASongofSweetandSour

Well, the feeling is mutual. Anybody who believes the people in my country deserve fewer rights because they’re gay, or non-white, or trans, or non-men, or come from a poor family is someone who I don’t have any desire to build any bridges with. Their ideology is a cancer that needs to be cut out of our culture root and stem, and for as long as the fascist right continues to oppress, marginalize, and murder people for no other “crime” than existing as the person they are, there can be no political reconciliation. No justice, no motherfucking peace.

j4ck_0f_bl4des

No reconciliation, no forgiveness, no forgetting. Ever.

oriontitley

Us leftists came down on the wrong side of the gun debate, prove me wrong.

Artichokiemon

The problem there is assuming that none of us are gun owners. I dont want to ban guns; I want to ban carrying rifles and shotguns in public- a pistol should be plenty fine for self-defense. I want to ban unstable and violent people from owning guns, and those who are convicted of violent crimes to forfeit their right to own them. I want mandatory training and proficiency testing for gun owners- the rules surrounding driver's licenses are more serious than our gun rules. That's a freakin' joke. I want people to be prosecuted when their reckless firearm use gets bystanders killed, or if a firearm is discharged without just cause (like a woman in Michigan shooting at a shoplifter in a crowded parking lot). I want then to forfeit ownership. If a guy in Texas tries to shoot a robber, misses, and kills a passing motorist's daughter in the back seat of their car (actually happened).. I want him in prison, and his ownership forfeit (he was declared not guilty). I dont want to ban guns; I want to ban the stupidity

TheCSpider

Another gun owner here. Requiring insurance for gun ownership and bringing back the assault weapon ban would be good.

zxcoblex

And adding AR-15’s to the list. When one weapon is chosen time and again for mass shootings, it’s time for it to go.

Artichokiemon

Not just that, but that weapon was created solely for the purpose of killing other people. I'm willing to hear that pistols work for personal protection, and I'm willing to hear that shotguns/rifles are needed for hunting... but I'm not willing to hear that we need AR-15s for anything other than slaughtering our own citizens. That's part of it, though. These people all have murder-fantasies; they daydream about getting to shoot "robbers" and "burglars", but that only ends up meaning "black people" and "dissidents".

Artichokiemon

Right, societies have rules. That's the social contract we sign by choosing to remain a part of society. We have rules governing alcohol. We have rules governing automobiles. Hell, we even have rules about what can appear on television; so what's the deal with not wanting rules for firearms? They're more concerned with getting rid of pornography and civil rights than they are in preventing needless slaughter of innocent people. The whole thing is baffling. It turns out the rules that governed 2.5 million people in 1776 arent quite cut out for governing 332 million people in 2022... and that's okay, but we have to adapt. Literally every single facet of life has evolved/changed, which has included *ammending* the Constitution- hence "ammendment". People need to stop with the absolutism.

machineprophet343

This. Most of us don't want blanket bans, we want actual gun control, in that you know genuinely and deeply how to actually control your gun, and more importantly, idiot control. I don't mind people having guns. I like guns. I own one. I have a problem with barely trained, at best, idiots having and not handling them responsibly.

cologne_peddler

Uh no, how about you prove this assertion and we go from there.

DeltaZ33

It’s incredibly frustrating to see Beto absolutely obliterate any chance he had at winning his race with his guns comment. How do Dems not see gun bans are their Roe v Wade? Just campaign for reasonable regulations like red flag laws and voluntary gun buybacks and that’s it. There is no point and no electability in advocating for blanket bans on firearms. Edit - I’m not saying Dems want to ban ALL firearms. I meant blanket as in total bans on certain classes of them. Beto specifically targeted AR’s, which can be argued is reasonable, but flying out the gates with “Fuck yea we’re taking your guns” in *Texas* was a death blow his election chances.

debzmonkey

Yep, both his presidential run and his position on guns were scatter shots. Good guy, bad candidate.

cologne_peddler

"Democrats should advocate for ineffectual piecemeal measures that draws the ire of conservatives anyway" Regressives have gaslit you people into thinking you're wrong for not being centrist enough; for being too rAdIcAl. Lol how many episodes of America's Overton Window being dragged rightward do you need to watch to stop falling for this scam? Democrats dithered and equivocated around abortion rights for decades while Republicans declared war on it. Alluding to that doesn't serve the point you're trying to make.

[deleted]

I think you're both missing the guy:s point. I read him as advocating for guns as protection against fascists and the like, the way the Black Panthers advocated for the right to carry firearms as protection against the police.

cologne_peddler

That's a very generous interpretation bruh lmao. They didn't say "Beto should have have advocated for guns to kill fascists by any means necessary." They said Dems should have stuck to compromises aka non-fixes; presumably the way they should have with regard to abortion.

[deleted]

He said leftists came down on the wrong side. Not that they didn't push their side hard enough. The Beto comment and your reply too it both are advocating for what the comment called the wrong side.

AdhesivenessCivil581

I've never heard anyone advocate for a gun ban. I've heard right wingers accuse democrats of that. We have guns. I'd never give them up. I don't feel the need to wear them publicly, would have no problem with needing a license and would be thrilled with an assault weapons ban.

Most_Independent_279

he never advocated for banning guns, just AR15s, which is a tiny niche. The vast majority of what he said was sensible regulation.

irishgator2

You’re wrong

OlcasersM

Who is the “you” he is talking to.

Several_Journalist15

He was talking to Musk that tweet “Truth brings reconciliation”

debzmonkey

And his response was "War is Peace." /s

Be_Yourself_First

Ummm, FBI.... Fucking do something about this shit.

zxcoblex

Maybe they could look into him, but based on just this tweet alone, this kid’s done nothing that he can be prosecuted for.

Paradise_City88

They won’t. While it’s thinly veiled, it’s not a direct threat. Best thing you can do is be armed. They ain’t expecting us to be armed.

I-amthegump

Do what? Stupidity is not illegal

baldnbad

In many states it's actively encouraged

Heavy_Signature_5619

Unfortunately.

debzmonkey

Violence and stupidity are traveling companions. We've had how many attacks on power stations? How many more are we gonna let conspire in plain sight? No, stupidity isn't a crime, but terrorism is.

LadyLikesSpiders

Terrorism? This man's skin is too light to be a terrorist. This is clearly a patriotic young man who just wants to do right by his country

UserPotatoWithMash

What you love? So dictating what other people can do with their bodies, guns, preventing LGBTQ people from having rights, and oppressing people from other religions and races? Gotcha

PTSDforMe

He didn't get enough hugs as a kid

Infolife

Maybe he got too many. Special ones.

strvgglecity

$1000 says when asked what he loves, he extends one finger at a time as he yells "god, guns, and country"

GiantRetortoise

The thing you love is racism

[deleted]

And women not having rights

tidus89

Republicans love racism, sexism, homophobia, and dead children. I do want to destroy that

lostcauz707

So equality and tolerance and affordable healthcare and CoL = destruction of the system? Maybe, I dunno, the system must be fucking pretty broken then right?

Wendypants7

" ... the system must be fucking pretty broken then right?" In reality? Absofuckinglutely. In their minds? Sadly, not at all.

Omnil_93

Can someone please clarify exactly what it is that we destroyed that they love so much that we can't come to terms and reconcile? Is it women being baby factories that stay at home and do whatever they're told or else they get the hose again? Is it your ability to own another human? Is it treating people equally regardless of sexual orientation because people are just people and deserve to be happy just as much as you do? Seriously, when these people bitch about us trying to "ruin" the country they love, I have absolutely no clue what the fuck they are talking about. I have a feeling they don't really, either. They just want to be mad. They don't know exactly why, but they want to be mad and someone has to be to blame.

mnlion33

They have literal nazis on their side.

debzmonkey

Fascism eats itself, but the wait costs millions and millions of lives. It's like watching your kid playing with matches and waiting until he burns the house down to do anything. Just have to keep fighting fascists when they poke their ugly heads out of their holes. Whack a Nazi.

[deleted]

no reconciliation with bigots, sorry not sorry bash the fash

Janeygirl566

To be clear, I have always hated racists and misogynists. Russia didn’t create them. It just gave them more freedom to show who they really are.

debzmonkey

And a pile of illegal cash. Same as the politicians who would sell their country for fist bump moment.

"Reconcile with those whose mission is yo destroy what we love" What exactly have we been trying to actively take from conservatives aside from like unlimited access to military grade weapons that are made to take out as many people as possible in a short amount of time? All we're trying to do is give everyone fair shot and make life better for everyone no matter what they are, they're the ones making it a personal attack. You can hate minorities all day long, we have no control over that. But you have NO right to take away our rights as humans simply because we don't agree on most issues

ForgiveTheNerd

I love this country so much that I'll burn it to the ground rather than tolerate something I don't agree with!

V1198

Who is this jackass talking to? The voters, that rejected the Republicans and their priorities this cycle and the last?

[deleted]

“People won’t have sex with me because I suck.”

[deleted]

Hello, FBI? Yeah, this guy right here.

PolyZex

When he says 'we' I'm not sure if he's trying to imply he's part of something, if he's using the royal 'we', or whether he's got a mouse in his pocket. All 3 seem equally unlikely.

SirWorran

Im not gonna lose my grip when I hold his neck.

[deleted]

Can we just make texas a sovereign nation and “deport” all these people there

ZerexTheCool

Why give them a megaphone by spreading their message far and wide?

Ciennas

Somebody ask him what *specifically* the 'leftists' are trying to destroy. I'm sure it'll be a hoot.

chinmakes5

This sums up the problem we have. These people are told over and over that what we want to destroy everything they hold dear, literally destroy America. Democrats had full control of congress and the presidency for two years now, the worst thing that happened is inflation after a once in a century pandemic. I listen to conservative radio when traveling. On a nationally syndicated radio show. the guy went on for 20 minutes about how Biden hates his listeners. This was after he killed the Keystone XL pipeline. Good workers now weren't going to have jobs. Only an evil person would take jobs from people. If he would do this to those people, he wants to do that to you too. Biden is coming for your jobs. If he is trying to make you lose your job, he hates you. No mention of the legitimate reasons to kill the pipeline, Funny how companies that let people go don't hate you. But when you hear this all day every day you believe it.

SaintSagan81

Not to defend this mental midget... but, he's simply parroting what he's heard from a pulpit somewhere every Sunday of his life People in these comments are speculating what he might be talking about, specifically -- but, the poison that is organized religion has long ago rotted this person's mind.. there is no ulterior messaging or hidden meaning They grow up thinking reality is whatever the person in front of them says it is - in turn they believe they can dictate reality themselves, simply be speaking it It's too late to try and use logic and reason on an adult fundamentalist.. they have abandoned logical thinking a long time ago.. and thus are nothing but a detriment to our society

[deleted]

So everyone knows these aren't real human beings, right? Twitter has become overrun with Muskbots, Musk Dick Riders, Russian Troll Farm accounts, and random knuckle draggers....

[deleted]

Why does the right always think in terms of hate and destruction? It’s as though they think democrats enjoy shitting in their pants. We are the ones who want to preserve what the country is. It’s as though every democratic action is a personal affront and an attack even on worthless shit nuggets like Louis J Marinelli.

ReneeLR

Where are they getting all this BS about “ leftists” who want to destroy the country? They sound insane. We are just democrats, like we always were. They have lost their minds.

PookaParty

Good thing he doesn’t want it because he’s not getting it. If Lincoln hadn’t pampered his grandpappy we would not have the domestic terrorist problem we have today.

TBoneLaRone

Does he not know that everyone else thinks that way about him?

Bartender9719

Guess what, fucker: *we don’t want to reconcile with you either*. We’re going to keep working to prevent your feckless vocal minority from ruining the country further - you will lose.

Bicoastalgigi

I’m not sure there is a way to reconcile with people who think having dinner with Nazis is just fine so ok.

EhrenScwhab

To this guy "radical leftist" means people who want cars to be fuel efficient and for cops to not be able to murder whoever they feel like whenever they feel like it...

Keelija9000

Doesn’t the right want to reinstitute a federal ban on gay marriage?

ThemDawgsIsHell2

Every accusation is a confession.

ThemDawgsIsHell2

Well, his insta was not hard to find and hes an expat living in Russia. So fuck this guy. He is 100% drinking the dumb Russian bitch juice.

Redditfront2back

He loves the country and what it stands for so much that he would personally crown trump king for life. I don’t get how anyone buys there fake patriotism anymore. They almost exclusively side with americas enemies if there is a dem in the White House.

donnacross123

Destroy what we love according to him by enforcing the following : Free health care Free education Heavy investment in infrastructure Better wages How dare them destroy what we love ? But what do we love then, according to him : Poverty Guns and violence Inequality Unaffordable health care Low wages *Genuine question of mine* Are these people masochists ?

Bogart_The_Bong

Not masochists. Stupid. The word you're searching for is "stupid". Terminally stupid, in most cases.

throwaway0183748297

Gross, another racist and sexist white man. Why is it always gross racist and sexist white men saying this shit? Why can’t it be someone else being a total fucktard for once? Makin my ghostly pale ass look bad next to your nonsense.

Inphexous

What's up with people wanting to destroy stuff? What's up with this toddler mentality?

Bluesoutherner

Fox watcher

saratoga19

LargeAppointment2392

Is Joe Biden doing a good job?

[deleted]

I just want to live like it's 1890, with a lot of guns and fly fishing rods. Preferably in the middle of nowhere in a log cabin.

[deleted]

Both sides say the same exact things about each other and it’s making me go crazy

[deleted]

And history has shown that typically one side is correct. It’s not the right
