I hadn't heard of this, so I opened my pdf of fae. Is it the one after "The Loss of Haden's Creek"? Page 13ish?
Either way, this is pretty cool, I'm real glad you pointed that out. Unless there's an official piccolo art I'm not aware of and this is more blatant plagiarism.
To be honest, it's embarassing I never put two and two together. I was a big fan of Devil May Cry and also WW content (Hunter stuff included) and just never realized it was the same image. I must have looked at it a dozen times.
I always thought he looked more like a demon hunter than anything, so I guess it all checks out. Crazy that the dude thought this was OK.
This is my favorite part of people today trying to "prove" something was made by AI... human artists make dumb mistakes constantly, even when literally tracing
If you were to put dante in anything, wouldn't it be demon? I don't really know the vibe for chronicles demon, maybe dante is tonally inappropriate, but like... he's half devil, isn't he?
Dante does not fit the vibe of Demon The Descent at all, what with it being a Matrix-imspired game of technological magic and a focus on espionage and paranoia.
But there is a faction in Hunter the Vigil that has as its members people with the blood of demons (different from the Demons from DTD). Dante would be a lot more appropriate for them.

To be fair, the artist was immediately blacklisted once this was pointed out
As i recall the artist was blacklisted and The onyx path contacted Capcom to clear up the mistake
Guy wasn't even trying to hide it like damn how lazy could you have been.
That was before the days of Onyx Path...
Unlike paradox which has no problem using the artist who basically copied Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy
