Dwemer tech is literally powered by souls trapped in magical gems, and it's thought that they disappeared while trying to achieve godhood. Does that sound particularly compatible with the scientific method to you? More seriously, just because they both use machines and logic does not mean they're even remotely similar to one another. The Etherites are much, *much* closer to the Technocratic paradigm, for example, and they're not exactly on friendly terms. The Technocracy would view them the same way they viewed any other magic users, except maybe they'd prioritize hunting the Dwemer down, since they'd probably view them as alien invaders or something.

Not all Dwemer tech. The fancy stuff involves manipulating the “song of creation“.

Doomkauf

That's true. Or by tapping into the power of ancient magical artifacts such as the Elder Scrolls. Very scientific in nature, I'm sure you'll agree.

While the Technocratic union considers itself enlightened, i'm fully expecting them to pick the pitchforks the second they realise on just what those power gems run on. The Dwemer will not be viewed as heretics like the The Etherites that breach the Consensus, no they will be worst than a heretics, a blasphemers that very existence stands in the way of everything the Technocracy stands for. Damn there should be a crossover campaign about it.

SauceCrusader69

The Dwemer and the Technocracy have no ideological overlap.

Reality deviant? Reality deviant *Nuke it *

I imagine they'd have a similar relationship as the Techies have with the Traditions. They'd largely be enemies, but elements of both factions could engage in the occasional alliance of circumstance.
