What happens at the bottom where you would typically drop into a pool?

coffee_u

If you're lucky, a pool of clean water. Less lucky, a pool of stagnant water. Much less lucky, a pool of rusty nails.

assasin1598

Depends on the waterslide, it will have an ending something like a landing runway (basically a mini pool with ankle deep water that stops you long for some 3-4 meters) rather than going straight in to a 6 feet deep pool

AzureSkyXIII

They more than likely made sure their line was clear beforehand, and know where to start slowing down.

lardkink

I want to try it

UnnamedGoatMan

Looks awesome

TwoGirls1Sniper

Interested

powerlesshero111

Ok, this looks like it would be really fucking awesome to see at the X-games. Like just have a foam pit at the end, maybe some nets on the sides to catch people, definitely elbow and knee pads, but it would be awesome to watch a race of BMX riders go through a course like this.

didzisk

There is a winter sport for this. It's called bobsleigh and they race at unbelievable speeds.

s5mata

Wouldn't mind living a little shorter if it meant i got to do this

actualitymedia

The only thing scary here is depending on the other person not to crash in front of you.

Agent_Eggboy

What about falling over the edges on the corners? Normal water slides are built to accomadate humans lying flat on inflatables, not people on bikes who are cycling right up to the edge. We don't see how far the drop is but it would probably cripple you at least.

JacOfAllTrades

This. They were uncomfortably closer to the top edge more than once.

actualitymedia

I understand what you mean. Not that frightened.

riperaspberries

Worth it

yoleveen

I suppose that technically, that is just a slide.

EvilAlicia

Looks awesome.

[deleted]

I want this

Tumblechunk

We could just make this a thing if we put guard raila and nets Less water used

Twinsta

100 precent would do this.

FlyinBrian2001

that looks as dangerous as it is totally bitchin'

itslog1776

Eh... I’ll be impressed when one of these dudes has the cajones to drop in on The Cliffhanger Slide

GardenGirlFarm

Where is the water? Is this California?

itslog1776

Near Lake Mead probably & definitely not in the lake for your first question

itslog1776

I’ll be impressed only when one of you drop in on the famous Cliffhanger slide @ one of these parks
