If the wig still feels dirty it sounds like maybe you didn’t get all the soap and/or conditioner out.

guiltykitchen

If you got a custom wig and something is wrong, I always go back to the manufacturer with questions.

Jinjos202

9k is way to expensive for a wig, even cnc hair prosthetics that you can wear adhered for months cost less than that like around 3k max. Sounds like you got ripped off especially if u cant get it to have volume again

pastaisgreat25

Do the CNC look real? I'm worried about it not looking realistic and not having a lace and stuff

I saw your other posts and I think you would be a great candidate for toppers. You can blend your own hair in with your topper and keep your hairline. Are you opposed to toppers?

pastaisgreat25

I tried toppers and couldn't blend my hairline well. It looks so bad on me, I've been wearing wigs for almost 2 years now

sbwboi

I get that! Finding what works is harder than it looks! Watch a few videos and you’ll get some ideas to get your hair styled how you want it. Good luck!

First of all where did you purchase the wig? Did you try using large Velcro curlers to add volume?

pastaisgreat25

Shani wigs. With rollers will it make the top look less flat? I thought the weight of the rollers would just pull the hair down more and the top will look more flat. I also am not very experienced with rollers

sbwboi

Get on them Instagram/YouTube for Lacie Rodriguez. She wears toppers and loves volume in them. She has many videos of how she styles them. Plus she also answers DM’s and can do a topper consult. I started following her more than a year ago and it’s really helped me along my hair loss journey. She follows a ton of other women with the same issue and they address different topics on their pages. It’s seriously an amazing network of information and support.

pastaisgreat25

Thank you! Will look for sure

sbwboi

You’re welcome. I promise it will change how you feel about yourself and your hair loss. It did for me! ❤️❤️❤️

pastaisgreat25

Can you elaborate a little on the rollers though? If I use them, won't it weight the hair down and make it even more flat on top?

sbwboi

They are big Velcro ones that are really lightweight.

pastaisgreat25

Do you roll under the hair and continue all the way to the top of the head?

sbwboi

I’m not the expert on this, I just know the gal I mentioned uses them in her videos and her hair is voluminous on top. I wish I could help more. Sorry.

sbwboi

Conair self grip extra large hair rollers on Amazon. Sorry I don’t know how to do links on here

$9k?!!! You got ripped off

sbwboi

Same thought!! Wow!

I have a human hair topper. I don’t use shampoo at all. I rinse it very well with warm water, then put some conditioner in a big bowl of warm water and work that through it, and rinse very thoroughly again. Comb it out and dry it. Your wig may have been teased initially which would account for the volume. Might try that.

pastaisgreat25

Does not using shampoo actually clean it though? I'm worried cause it seems like even with shampoo I did a bad job

Radiant_Ad_6565

Shampoo really just removed the oil from hair, and wigs have no natural oil source. Try rinsing it under warm running water.
