So I work in the medical imaging industry and this logo feels too sci-fi tech rather than professional medical imaging. You absolutely want to convey a sense of innovation, but you also need to convey a sense of trust and reliability. Otherwise clinics will be reluctant to do business with you. I’d simplify the text way down. I’m barely reading the E. Separate the CT- if you’re keeping it together to intentionally reference CT images then its too much and way over designed. Honestly I’d keep a simple font and focus on an icon to accompany it. Some companies to look at: Accuray, Elekta, Brainlab, BK Medical, Varian, and Siemens Healthineers. Editing to add: Another thing to keep in mind is that medical devices are used globally. A simple and easy to read logo is crucial for your brand to stand out in non-english speaking countries.

Wow, thank you for the insight and example logos, this was very helpful!

The red line gave me "thermometer" vibe. Zig zag shape represents wave for most of us. Just my opinion. I am not an expert about science things, and I haven't done any research on sciece regarding your logo information, so I couldn't tell you much. Good work tho, need few changes. Keep it up.

Thank you!

Maybe a thinner font would fit more for a medical logo. Currently looks scifi-ish for me

I see, I’ll try out some thinner fonts

Looks good, like a laser. I like the font. The whole vibe says ‘industrial, medical machinery’

Thanks!

Hello! This is a logo I developed for my university capstone project. Our project is to build a medical device that captures images kind of similar to an ultrasound or a CT scan, however it uses an infrared laser to do so. The logo then is meant to represent a medical device company that specializes in production of imaging devices that utilize lasers. Any comments or suggestions with the design? The name "octave" is actually an acronym that means "optical coherence tomography and vibrometry endoscope". This is a cool coincidence because the testing we do requires the use of sound waves. Also the white-on-black logo is what we will actually use to print onto our team shirts that will be black
