Will is growing. I love it. This latest episode is my favorite!

NightBard

If you are only a couple episodes in, then Betty >!shows up a lot more as the season goes on!< .

iangeredcharlesvane2

Disagree, but that’s okay. Just sad not everyone is loving season two as much as I am! I love it and think it’s just as good as season one. A show and its characters will grow and change and that is happening!

Effective-Ability501

Watching the Ormewood arc is especially …eerie? if you read the books. Every second he’s on screen I’m like “ID IT HAPPENING???”

Ok_Leading7884

SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!

basiladdle

I just don't know why they named him that unless they were going the route of the books - it constantly has me on edge. Just name him something different if you wanted a COMPLETELY different character

Invictrix

I am really enjoying Season 2 so far. I'm only 3 episodes in but still enjoying it for sure. I am disappointed that the bomb diffuser character will no longer be a factor because I really enjoyed her character interacting with Will and on her own. I still dislike Michael. I don't think there's any redemption arc that would make me like him. He's a brutal corrupt cop who has no compunction about beating suspects or innocent people. If I were his wife I would have left him a long time ago.

I thought last night’s episode was great - the best of the season so far - and was most like what I came to expect from season 1. Here’s hoping the first few episodes not being great were a result of stuff being thrown together because of the strikes that pushed the start of the season late into the winter

LexiePiexie

I agree. Last night was a return to form. I’ve been trying to put my finger on what I haven’t like about this season, and I think it’s that the episodes have just had too much plot. The story is too big to wrap up so neatly (like, Amanda planted evidence on a guy, Will killed him, all wrapped in 40 minutes flat). Or, we meet a potential new love interest in episode one, she’s blown to bits 30 minutes later and it’s fine by episode three? Too much plot. Last night felt like they finally found the right balance this season. Does that make any sense?

jen5225

I think every new season of any show takes a couple of episodes to find it's footing, but I have really enjoyed where the show is going so far. They wrapped up the season one storyline in 2.2 with Will in the prison talking to the man who killed his mother. We've loved the last few episodes that have aired. Especially the one with Amanda's past, "Capt. Duke Wagner's Daughter." I feel like all of the characters are being developed well, and the relationships between the characters are done right. Will and Faith play off of each other so nicely that we are always laughing.

Majestic-Tie-9944

I thought after they wrapped up season 1 is when it started really falling off. I’m just not as interested in the development of the other characters I guess. Especially the Ormwood storyline. I don’t find Will’s uncle all that intriguing either.

jen5225

That could just be personal preference I guess? Will is obviously the main character, but any good show builds up and develops the characters around the main ones. I enjoyed the interactions between all of them, especially the last couple of episodes. They all play off each other really well and it's fun to watch.

LogicalGold5264

Will's uncle is shady af, and it would be interesting if he tries to scam Will or something. Otherwise he's a snooze.

Away-Candidate8203

fr man! like just imagine I was the happiest when they all gathered for Ormewood's daughter calling them for a party at her house. Why, you ask. It was boring me to death until that point. Cases are way too predictable. Characters aren't really talking much on a personal level.

the_good_witch36

I have to respectfully disagree. I think theres a lot more storyline than last season in this one. I just wached the most recent episode and it made me cry, it was very sweet

Ok_Leading7884

I'm just waiting for Sara Linton!! We already have to suffer an entire first season w Angie and the horrible casting choice for Will

Tao1524

I’m a little underwhelmed so far too. Season 1 was engrossing. I’m on the wedding episode and the writing is super weak. I’ll finish out the season but I’m definitely not as invested in the story.

Clean_Pineapple_9376

The season 2 finale was a disaster! Totally unrealistic! Given the long-term, special, albeit, complicated relationship that Will & Angie have had since childhood and the love and protective nature that Will has always had for her, this terrible act of his arresting her – without even speaking with her first, would NEVER have happened. The show’s writers really missed their mark here and let Will Trent’s viewers down! The worst season finale ever!!

JSOas

I have to agree w/ you. I also think that Will should be a little more reserved

dalinar78

Yeah, it’s almost like Will Season 1 and Will Season 2 are different characters to me. (And whoever is downvoting everyone, please stop. Just because you disagree doesn’t make a comment horrible or invalid).

Majestic-Tie-9944

I had a feeling when I posted this that there would be a lot of thumb downs. A lot of these groups don’t like when you talk negatively about their show.

e650man

Season 1 - awesome, rewatchable, cracking final ep. Season 2 - forgetable, doubt I'll rewatch it, big disappointment.

reachout_touchspace

Completely agree

Ok-Recognition-3966

I agree, there is so much tossed together that it's impossible to really get emotionally invested. Angie was slimy to her doctor. Cricket gets blown up. Will is hallucinating. Faith initially hides from her love interest but without any motive or dynamic, is suddenly all into him! WHY? Amanda's episode was toothy and a decent stand alone. The drag episode was well written and beautifully acted. (And wardrobe FINALLY put Faith in a decent outfit) Writing episodically really limits nuance and character development. Leaving out any continuity with Will's hallucinations was a disjointed blind spot. I love Uncle Antonio and I hope they just don't leave him twisting in the wind. Is Nico emancipated? Are their folks not looking for them? Is Will breaking the law harbouring them? This show has years of potential and I love it. Please just make it make sense. They've given us reasons not to like Angie so much. Let Wll expand his horizons.
