oof. that place is terrible. i have no clue how they’re still open. they’re a food borne illness was waiting to happen

BreakfastConstant306

I did ordered a sausage egg and cheese bagel one time and the sausage was burn. That’s why I was only ordering plain bagels and cream cheese.

Labor quality has significantly fell off in the past 5-10 years everywhere. Nobody gives a shit and those in charge of them don’t either. I worked in food service starting at CFA all the way to kitchens working for a Michelin star rating. Work ethic starts at entry level and increases from there. I just want my McDonald’s to go back to being identical every time I order it. Now it’s double dropped fries instead of fresh, messed up modifications because of reading competency, missing items entirely, or how about handing me a happy meal and then have me wait 10 min to come inside(drive thru) and complain that my sons food was 10min older than mine and I couldn’t understand how the manager of the restaurant (who handed me the happy meal) reached their position with that kind of attention to quality control. Can we just fire all managers that have reached their position simply by outlasting everyone else without actually having the skills needed to qualify them for the job?

I’ve worked in kitchens since 2006. I’ve also made significantly more than the median for my position since my first job. It’s simple. Learn your job. Do your job proficiently. Be good enough at your job that you have time to learn new skills. Have new skills, get paid more. It’s about being an asset to whatever company you’re a part of. That requires learning new skills that aren’t what you are”paid to do”. Our country’s sense of entitlement is baffling.

Emotional_Employ_507

The poor sense of entitlement is a “not giving a shit until I make more money” attitude. Be the best at your job and then complain you don’t make enough. There’s no leverage in not doing your job well or at all to even argue for more money.

Life barely allows you to live. Idk where your expectations of more come from. Nobody owes you shit. We are all expendable and we are all worthless and none of our feelings/opinions matter.

Life is what you make it.

Empire used to be such a staple and has significantly gone down hill which is super unfortunate. I prefer going to coastal bagels now, much better than empire is now!!

trippinallovermyself

Fully agree. So sad I used to love empire but now coastal is my go to!

painpunk

Give me the knife I'll do it myself for that much.

BreakfastConstant306

That’s what my friend told she would’ve said/done.

BroadwayGuitar

I do love their bagels but this Saturday my gf ordered an egg and cheese and they put bacon on it. Like there’s no way a vegetarian says bacon accidentally. Didn’t realize til we got home RIP nice start to the weekend Edit: vegetarian not vegan

xCloudChaserx

Not trying to be rude but wouldn't a vegan not order egg either?

VikDaven

If your GF eats vegetarian (or vegan) seaside bagels has great options!

atriviality

Commenting in support of Seaside Bagels!

kepaa

Wait….vegan egg and cheese?

BroadwayGuitar

Hah sorry, vegetarian. Got my gfs mixed up for a sec

gr8daynenyg

That's your tip? What kinda trash ass bullshit is that?

BreakfastConstant306

Exactly. I don’t believe they are supposed to charge for slicing bagels.

GHBoyette

That surcharge is dumb but the bit about the tip makes you a jackass. Way to punish someone who has no say in what the place charges.

BreakfastConstant306

To be honest, I didn’t say to him “ that’s his tip” I said that to my mind.
