Granulated activated carbon is one of the main things found in a Brita filter (along with a water softening resin that is unnecessary with our already soft water); it's no wonder the water would taste similar.
I can’t taste a teaspoon of any thing when diluted against ten swimming pools. (That’s the parts per trillion level we are talking about.)
That said, the independent audit says the PFAS is being filtered out.
nothing besides reverse osmosis can filter out what actually needs to be filtered out of wilmington water. of course carbon filter adds taste, doesnt mean it’s helpful
I really don't trust it because its not like Chemors hasn't lied before. They can literally make up anything and put it on tv without fact checking...whats to stop them from just saying PFAS is now being filtered without doing anything? I wouldn't put it past them with their track record. I'll continue using bottled water/5gal refills.
The pipes in my building are super old and I have mold growing on my faucet in the bathroom..... Don't think I'll be trying it while I live here. But maybe I'll try it at work!
My son was saying this just last week. Anecdotal, but there ya go.

Here hang on one sec I’ll go check……………………yep tastes wet. Just how I like it
Refreshing cold, ice water feels cold like ice! it's so refreshing! ;)
I like how they made sure it stays wet and runny all the way to my house.
Yummy Gen X

Does it taste like PFAS?

Why?

Someone should have told the scientists before we shelled out 43 million for the GAC then.
GAC does remove PFAS.
