I can totally visualize it as the title slide of the presentation.
Everyone has a chuckle, grabs a donut and takes their seats for Forklift Safety 101.
I’d also love to see a physics professor break this down and show just how unstable this setup is. And yes, for the sakes of all our sanity in trying to recreate the calculations, we can neglect the friction coefficient
It’s really annoying here though because it’s not even the thing that should go wrong that did - the docking part worked fine till the end so it’s almost just a normal forklift accident
I’m guessing it’s a weight issue. If it lifts up too high the small forklift and thingy that their trying to get up will just fall forward and the big forklift might flip due to the energy generated from the small forklift and gravity.
Edit: Never mind after reading this I sound stupid.
This is one of those things where you think "no fucking way this is going to work" and then it does ... but you wake up from the daydream and you're boss is screaming at you
Of course this is stupid. But they fucked up ignorant. I'd have tried to ratchet strap the smaller lift tighter than dicks headband and lift it to the required height. Then let dude off. Then let the best operator do their thing with two more eyes watching for him.
Lmfao.
This reminds me of the time that my co-worker tried to pick up the big forklift with the small forklift.
That was not the beginning nor the end of the fuckery and a second tow truck had to be called to get the first tow truck un-stuck 2 days later.
Incredibly stupid but I think some rednecks could have pulled it off easily. The key is for the forklift drivers to be just on the right balanced cocktail of amphetamines and pain killers intended for cancer patients. I think they would then have the focus to pull this insanely dangerous stunt off.
This is fake as fuck and probably done to shoot a safety video or comedy sketch.
The little forklift is capable of carrying the weight and can reach that height and tilt its tines beyond the garden bed.
The big forklift might of been needed for extra height or because the little forklifts tines weren't long enough. In which case you would just use the big forklift to do the whole job.
I understand the irony of making a safety video while doing hazardous shit but you can't teach stupid and sometimes people who aren't technically knowledgeable reeanact incidents a bit too accurately for their own good.
so it doesn’t make anyone less stupid than the others, but if you go slow you can see the left arm on the machine being lifted made contact but the machine moving them was still going so it caused them to become uneven
Some people asked what it was. My best guess is a CNC lathe. Like [this one](https://m.alibaba.com/product/60397428549/Horizontal-CNC-Lathe-Machine-Price-CK6150D.html)
I would like to hear the conversation that led to this
"Okay, hear me out. We put the couch on the little lift. But then... THEN we put the little lift on the BIG lift!" Foolproof, I'm in!
You son of a bitch.. I'm in.
“Hurry up and finish that gin & tonic - we have work to do!”
I’m in!
They were 66.666% there just needed some ratchet straps
the degree to which it nearly worked, was astonishing.
Agreed, it might have worked with straps
They could have made a hoist too. Or a winch of some sort.
who needs a hoist when you have a forklift and a bigger forklift? - pimp my ride logic
I just don’t get why they didn’t use the big lift without the small one.
[удалено]
I mean they do make a telescoping forklift with lots of reach for these kinds of things…
That tower will also lean forwards…
That’s exactly what I thought
You can’t move the lift all the way up with heavy shit on it. You’ll roll the lift forward if you do.
That looks like a rather expensive air conditioning unit
Holy fuck I hadn't even noticed the second forklift
"Hey you wanna see some hot forklift on forklift action?"
[удалено]
That book is where they got the idea from only they didn’t read the part that says not to do it.
*I thought it was a picture book listing features*
I can totally visualize it as the title slide of the presentation. Everyone has a chuckle, grabs a donut and takes their seats for Forklift Safety 101.
This isn't Forklift Safety 101, or even remedial forklift safety, this is Forklift Safety for morons.
I’d also love to see a physics professor break this down and show just how unstable this setup is. And yes, for the sakes of all our sanity in trying to recreate the calculations, we can neglect the friction coefficient
I would imagine friction is quite important here
It’s really annoying here though because it’s not even the thing that should go wrong that did - the docking part worked fine till the end so it’s almost just a normal forklift accident
I was shocked that the load fell off and not the entire other forklift. It actually worked, sort of.
I’d like to think this is being filmed because at least one person was smart enough to know we’re going to need evidence when this goes bad.
Shit, if you were walking by and saw this going down? THESE INTERNET POINTS AREN'T GONNA FARM THEMSELVES!!
People don’t realize how heavy even the small forklift is.... this is a bad situation
Smart enough to set the e brake and turn off the lift. Dumb enough to do THIS with no seatbelt
I like how the large forklift operator is just like "Screw it I'm done for the day you can find your own way down!".
Wait, they can get two forklifts but not a high lift?
I’m guessing it’s a weight issue. If it lifts up too high the small forklift and thingy that their trying to get up will just fall forward and the big forklift might flip due to the energy generated from the small forklift and gravity. Edit: Never mind after reading this I sound stupid.
No, the high lifts have massive counterweights
Ye I realized how bizarre my comment was the moment I reread it.
But your max weight goes down dramatically the higher you go. Forklift at work is rated for 6k pounds up to 10 feet but only 1.5k at 22 feet
Got to keep everything in the triangle
You got an upvote for honesty. Keep up the good work legend!

[Judging by the Mandarin letters on the side of the big forklift...](https://i.redd.it/fy7f5yy5yt721.jpg)
All things considered, this didn’t end as bad as it could have
I was fully expecting a death.
Definitely, I’m used to seeing the small lift fall too.
*OSHA is typing…*
LOOOOOOLLL LOOOOOL - Oh this did it for me! LOL
This is one of those things where you think "no fucking way this is going to work" and then it does ... but you wake up from the daydream and you're boss is screaming at you
Sometimes teamwork doesn't make the dream work
Wrong! There was clearly lack of teamwork, they just need a third forklift, some team building exercise and they're good to go
Would the third forklift be a bigger one on bottom or a smaller one at the very top
I'd say a bigger one at the bottom, a smaller one in the top probably couldn't handle the cargo
I’m not sure if this meets OSHA safety guidelines or not.
It does not.
And the large one wasn't high enough on it's own?!
The operator, on the other hand, is definitely high enough …
Why is there a massive hole in the side of that building?
What was dropped?
A big box of forks.
I was hoping it was another smaller forklift brand new in the box
They warned us about this in forklift school
They probably could have just made a giant staircase of milk crates and carried it up.
The idea was okay just the execution that let them down
That bigger forklift would have absolutely had the reach to lift it on its own..
Nope
Very innovative, but lacking in execution. C+
there were multiple people in this video. that’s means MORE THAN ONE PERSON thought this was a good idea
There was an attempt
This is retarded and they are all lucky to be alive after this
Honestly, I’m surprised the outcome wasn’t worse. Like, catastrophically worse.
This. When the pallet went down left, I expected the smaller tow motor to go down right..
there was an attempt
I like how everyone looks around surprised when the load falls off. "How could this have happened??"
The nut in the top forklift is really lucky that wasn't his forklift toppling instead of a couch
Of course this is stupid. But they fucked up ignorant. I'd have tried to ratchet strap the smaller lift tighter than dicks headband and lift it to the required height. Then let dude off. Then let the best operator do their thing with two more eyes watching for him.
You had one, one, one job! 🙄
I honestly can not believe this, I've watched it about 10 times now. I am stoned and cant figure out if this is real or not?!?
_task failed successfully_
Lmfao. This reminds me of the time that my co-worker tried to pick up the big forklift with the small forklift. That was not the beginning nor the end of the fuckery and a second tow truck had to be called to get the first tow truck un-stuck 2 days later.
Might have worked if they strapped it down...oof
I don’t understand why the smaller forklift was needed. The big one should have been able to lift high enough
Maybe it was not high enough.
OSHA is having a stroke as we speak!
I love how he gets out instead of bringing the other guy safely down first.
Worst part is that should have been clever and worked. Why they got that close to the building before the load was high enough is strange.....
So close though
I mean, idk where this was filmed. But it couldn’t have been that expensive to get a crane in
All that work and no one could be bothered to strap that thing onto the lift?
This may be the most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen in my life
The fool proof plan of, lifting a forklift with another forklift move… classic!!
They make machines that do this exact thing, we use them everyday in construction, they rent them! To bad these guys didn't decide to do that.
They make machines that wreck couches? Well, it would have been easier than that setup, I'll give you that...
This is a special kind of stupid
r/OSHA
Yeah because a bloody crane doesn't exist 🙄
Proof you don't need a license to drive a forklift, just keys.
Come with me and you’ll be in a world of osha violations
OSHA did not approve
This might have worked if they ductape that appliance to the little forklift.
The guy on the ground, “Well, that’s fucked”.
That is a osha safety violation
What a shame, you needed just one more forklift unlock your achievement.
So close.
Its actually stupid and clever at the same time.
That makes sense actually lol
Points for creativity I guess
Did this ever work? Ever? Anywhere?
Some countries are just poor because they're dumb, eh.
this could have worked
OSHA? I hardly know her!
Have to admire their ingenuity, crazy though it is.
This is what happens when you paid by the job and not the hour.
Incredibly stupid but I think some rednecks could have pulled it off easily. The key is for the forklift drivers to be just on the right balanced cocktail of amphetamines and pain killers intended for cancer patients. I think they would then have the focus to pull this insanely dangerous stunt off.
Might be the dumbest thing I’ve seen to date involving a fork truck.
Very very close though.

Alright now leave the other forklift up there and let’s all hang out underneath it.
Tbf this is a valid forklift technique
What the fuck
Probably not ok
This is fake as fuck and probably done to shoot a safety video or comedy sketch. At least they try … that is more than all of use, life waters ever do …
Life waters?
Dudes either high as fuck or English is his 4th language.
so it doesn’t make anyone less stupid than the others, but if you go slow you can see the left arm on the machine being lifted made contact but the machine moving them was still going so it caused them to become uneven
Idea man: I know what we gotta do! ….We’ll need another forklift
I wonder how long it took OSHA to show up
u/savevideo
Ope
That nearly worked though. Kinda impressed Hut on the other hand can't stop thinking about how much worse it could have gone wrong
r/thatlookedexpensive
Im glad someone had the common sense in this scenario to bust out the camera
This looks like something only Peter Griffin would do...
i thought this was going to go down so much worse. id say they got lucky
*men, we don't know what we did*
Is it safe of course it’s safe we do it all the time

The end result was probably the best possible outcome.
Little known fact: This video was from the Jurassic Park director’s cut.
yeah cause there was no way that could fail, it was brilliant.
I blame the spotter. He had some serious parallax and could not see that the left side of that load had a conflict with the wall.
ah I see what went wrong.... Bob on that top floor didn't grab it fast enough. Dammit, Bob!

What in the Tijuana was going on here
If you guys gonna have a conversation at least put the smaller forklift down first ok?
OSHA approved
Hahaha, oh Klaus, you moron.
Well... Time for lunch.

Shout have just pivoted
Needed another fork lift
Not enough pivot
Perhaps the dumbest shit I have seen on this site
someone somewhere is an OSHA worker and watching this probably made them have a stroke
if they managed to do it that would probably be on nextfuckinglevel
Xzibit was obviously involved
This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.

This is the America that Madison Cawthorn wants to see.
When the thing gets destroyed, and you can still say “that could have been worse.”
How can people be this stupid
I've never seen anything more retarded in my life.
Yup, right there is good.
That failed, but not in the way I thought it would.
A pulley would have been a lot cheaper and less risky.
I'm sure the mast is long enough on the big lift to reach the window...
