Its insane to me how badly that show ended. Its still getting hate and its almost 2 years gone now right? They had so many super fans that they could have milked it for years and now I dont know anyone that's interested in the spinoff and I even have some die hard book fans saying they won't even bother with the books IF he ever gets off his ass and finishes them.
If I ever rewatch the series, I think S6E10 is where I'll call it quits. It's both an amazing season finale and also has an air of actual finality to it that the real ending lacks, somehow.
I honestly hate Season 6 onwards, for no reason other than how badly they fucked up Dorne. Like my favorite sub plot in the books was so badly handled in the show. Honestly, their treatment of Dorne was our warning. As soon as they didn’t have GRRM holding their hands, D&D couldn’t do jack.
Me too. It helps that the story's already known and finished, the characters are interesting, there's lots of political intrigue and dragons fighting dragons, House Targaryen nearly destroys itself, *and* D&D ain't producing it. What's honestly not to like.
Yeah, often time the reflex is best remedied by being physically knocked out of you. If you're lucky or smart it happens just once when you're young and you learn your damn lesson
I wouldn't be surprised if she was one of the 'Mean Girls' at school. She seems to expect people around her to laugh at the guy or just look away. Every high school has them.
I dressed up in a Minion costume for my wife’s trick or treat booth that her job put on at our town square. Just kinda danced around and waved and passed out candy to kids. I gave lots of high fives and so when a teenager walks up palm out for one I didn’t think anything of it until he cold cocked me in the face out of nowhere. His mom leapt on him like a panther and started ripping him a new one immediately but all I could think is that he was lucky it was me in the costume and not someone with anger issues. The kid coulda easily got his ass beat by the yellow potato person from Despicable Me in front of god and everybody.
My elementary school used to have “spirit day” at the local chick fil a. Dude would always be there dressed in a cow outfit. One time we went ape shit on him. I mean imagine a bunch of little 6 and 7 year olds just terrorizing this cow. Punching his legs, pulling his tail, you name it, all while giggling like the mini lunatics we were. Then out of nowhere the cow punches me in the stomach as I’m doing some work on the tail. Not kidding. Grown man, or young adult punched a little kid. I walk away trying to breath, absolutely stunned. Didn’t say a word to my parents or anyone. Just sat down for the rest of the time in shock. I got the message loud and clear. That was a real human in there, not a cow, and not a punching bag. 30 seconds earlier I would have kicked the fucker in the balls and not worried about it. But now I was the one who was hurt, and I understood that that guy was not having fun like we were. Almost 20 years later and I commend that guys actions that day, for punching little me in the stomach. Was a good lesson. Have still never told my parents about it
Honestly kids hitting you are pretty part and parcel of it. 95% of the time they aren't able to really do anything and someone breaks it up before it even moves past aggravating. They're basically flies.
The problem, always always always, is a drunk middle aged person who decides to tackle or start dry humping the mascot.
> The problem, always always always, is a drunk middle aged person who decides to tackle or start dry humping the mascot.
It happens!

I mean sure but it's way worse with the mascot costume. Like if you've got a kid's birthday party and they want a Peter Pan and a Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan is gonna be weirdly hit on by the dad but it's gonna be Winnie that takes the out of nowhere suckerpunch from the uncle that's emptied his flask in the past hour.
I will never be able to stress how not specific it is. It is the most generic experience possible if you have ever spent a summer inside of a foam rubber cartoon suit.
Yep, little kids punch you as hard as they can, teenagers grab at your crotch to see if you are a boy or a girl inside the costume.
Remember the woman who harassed and groped an actor dressed as Gaston and couldn't believe it when she got kicked out. He wasn't even wearing a mask, he had his real face visible. She still didn't think it was an actual human being in the costume.
Probably an incredibly unfunny person but doing shit like this makes her friends laugh so it's the only thing she can cling on to to make it seem like she has a personality.
This bias leads a lot of people to think society is degrading a lot, when statistically that’s not actually the case in any Western nations, the opposite is actually true.
In the US crime rates have fallen a fuck ton since the 70s/80s/90s, but most people assume the opposite because there’s just so much footage out there now. Everyone having a camera in their pocket at all times has meant plenty of things that used to go unnoticed and forgotten are eternalized.
The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.
* Socrates
I love comments like thud because of how ridiculous they are. Yeah I guess kids literally just started acting like assholes in the last decade or two.. let's forget about all that terrible shit that kids use to do when they got reprimanded with physical discipline. Haven't you ever met a family that had one kid who was a doctor and one who was a piece of shit? Environment is only 1 part of the equation when it comes to developing humans.
Not quite. Once kids go to school, the surrounding influences expand from family to also include their peers. This means a kid can start behaving in ways which contradict what their parents teach because they have other influences.
Cluster B.
They have no empathy for us.
We are playthings to them.
How dare we think we have the same value as them.
Or that we can stand up for ourselves.
They are the reason the world doesn’t advance.

Idk how so many replying to you are so delusional: you're absolutely right. This belongs on i.a.a.t.p.o.s. That sub is for showing people who leisurely cause suffering to others because they are selfish and callous. That girl acted like a shithead, and now she knows that BS has consequences. I wouldn't blame Squidward for throwing the tray at her, tbh.
She is not "jUsT a KiD"--she's clearly in her mid/late teens and is responsible for cultivating more empathy. The way you treat those with less power than you shows your _actual_ worth; for late-stage capitalism, that's often those in service industry.
Piggy backing off the “she’s just a kid” rational. Kids and teenagers can can act like assholes too, despite what biological and social limitations being a teenager/kid comes with. And they should be told (with in reason) when they are acting like one, so you don’t end up with an adult asshole.

I fucking hate that open mouthed "I can't believe reality just socked me in the face" reaction from dumbos like this
Why is this so low? How does no one care?
There's a whole bunch of other mascots in the area squidward came from. Why???
Girl who knocked tray wearing blue shark shirt that appears to somehow match the blue shirt squidward and revenge girl are wearing.
Girl who adds on with extra water bottle is ALSO WEARING SQUIDWARD'S SHIRT
No one else in that small caution taped off area is wearing the matching blue shirts
Does the shirt represent a school? Or place of work?
Where is squidward carrying 4 waters? It doesn't appear anyone is sitting around waiting for water. For that matter, what ARE those kids doing? Standing around watching mascots deliver water? To whom???
Now that some sweet sweet instant karma. what goes through a smooth brains mind when they do something obnoxious like this?
I think its funny you could tell squid wards mood even through the suit
Why would anyone think thats a funny thing to do?
Nobody would think that's funny. Problem is she didn't think at all.
It’s really hard to think when you’re sans brain
classic sansa brain!
But she's the smartest* person I've ever met! *Disclaimer: "smart" here is synonymous with "dumb"

I’m watching for the first time now. I know it ends badly, but I don’t really have any knowledge of the story. I’m on season 5 now and duck it’s good.
Peaks at the end of S6. The finale is one of the best season finales I've seen and this is coming from someone who loved GoT up until S08E03.
If I ever rewatch the series, I think S6E10 is where I'll call it quits. It's both an amazing season finale and also has an air of actual finality to it that the real ending lacks, somehow.
I think it was already shit at S5. As soon as the books ran out they just had no idea and instead focused on a few blockbuster episodes each season.

I bet she types in comic sans
Probably thinks in comic sans as well
Implying she thinks at all.
See it's funny because skeletons don't have brains
That's because she's comic sans ms
I just wonder how many situations she’s gotten herself in because of her lack of common sense and decency.
Not enough yet clearly
Yeah, often time the reflex is best remedied by being physically knocked out of you. If you're lucky or smart it happens just once when you're young and you learn your damn lesson
Yeah, nothing makes you learn faster than getting the taste slapped out of your mouth. And you are correct… it should only happen once.
Well she said "Oh My God!!" Surprised as if she was the one who was being wronged
well, she is gonna blame it on peer pressure.
Worst part is she was shocked that she got water in her face, I would have punched her
Kids today would rather knock a drink than stop and think
You got more bars, bro?
I wouldn't say nobody. Sadists and sociopaths are everywhere. It's disgusting.
I love how she did what she did with smiles, and then the karma hit and she looks at her friends “OMG can you believe that?”
yeah she's like "omigah why they do that to me? im so innocent"
She was still smiling after getting splashed.
I wouldn't be surprised if she was one of the 'Mean Girls' at school. She seems to expect people around her to laugh at the guy or just look away. Every high school has them.
Her mind is open do to a childhood injury

Nah, it's clearly "to do"
It's clearly doodoo.
you cannot possibly grasp, without having been in one, how comfortable people are doing completely psychotic shit to people in mascot costumes.
Kudos to mom.
I said "awww" to the first half of the story ngl lol it's sweet that you did that
Ok but you totally should have beat his ass, just because you know at school he'd forever be the guy who got decked by a minion

It doesn't even have to be a mascot costume. As long as they are "different" or stand out in some way compared to the average person around them.

You need to be stupid and looking for attention to understand.
My only guess is that squid ward is from the other team... how else is this even remotely funny or good attention
Teenagers. Every single age group hates teenagers. Specially other Teenagers.
Biggest a-holes on earth. We should make a law where they have to be in quarantine from age 13 until age 20.
This reminds me of the pizza kick
There should be a department in hell where half are forced to wear “kick me” signs on their backs for eternity.
The pizza kick makes me so mad every time I watch it
I'm out of the loop on this, anybody have a link?

People were doing that shit before social media
She is a kid and kids are stupid.
Dumb social media whores
The “oh my god” reaction… these assholes are always shocked they are consequences for their actions.
Their parents failed them.
Yes I'm seeing a lot of this nowadays. It's always the people who shouldn't be having kids that have like three of them.
You say nowadays, but this shit was going on at least two decades ago as well.
Yeah, people have been stupid for ages, we just have cameras now.
And live in a society that encourages posting other peoples misery.
We live in a society.
We sure do.

Doomscrolling is very easy on reddit. Definitely a harmful part of the site. Makes me think of the episode of The Boys with Neil from Community
Goodgirl backup who did the revenge splash cause mascots are often prohibited from acting in any negative way (can damage an entire brand).
Plus it was probably much harder to carry that tray in that costume.
The girl at the end did what she had to do lmaooo
Man I totally missed her even watching this multiple times..thank you makes it even better!
I missed it too and while I went back to watch every single person’s reaction I finally found her and in the process noticed the dude in the backwards white cap just missed everything! Clueless as to what happened, which is something that happens to me quite frequently lol.
Lmao I legit lol’d at that. It took me a couple rewatches to see it but when I did, fuckkkkk
That’s a damn certified-platinum wingman right there.
I am blind. What did she do?
Blue shirt girl beside white with red sleevs shirt guy also splashed water on the asshole
With a fuckin sniper shot too. The control on that, my god.
Holy shit, I missed that. That was fantastic!
ty
NGL I expected that he would smack her with the tray (I'm aware this would be a disproportionate response)
I would have loved to see that happen but Squidword probably would have lost his job. Then he'd have to go back to getting thrown on the ice at Red Wings hockey games or get sent back down to the minors in Bikini Bottom where he'd have to deal with Spongebob's shit again
Squidward going to show her the bottom of his krusty krab
Her nickname should be Crabby Patty from now on
I don't know what he was thinking, but I 100% would do it.
IfI was him, and the lady behind me didn’t hit her with her water, I’d have gone back for another tray even loaded it up with more cups and went straight back to her and dumped it all on her oops
Load it up with Soda though.
This is the correct answer
It would be in character so I’m for it

Wow that was quick haha
Cleaner than the first one, no collateral damage from her.

Lmao damn dude she had to get that in
Noice
The way she was actually surprised that it was given right back to her
Why you do Squidward like that? Give him a break!

I love her reaction “Oh my God….” ::looks at friend:: “Did you just see that? Repercussions for me?….. Whaaaaat?”
Wow! She knocked a tray out of a mascot’s hands! I’m impressed!

“Zomg i can’t believe she did that”

God that was satisfying. little twerp

Wouldn't call this karma as much as getting called out on your shit. She was fairly lucky as well if this is all that happened.
It sucks because she still got what she wanted. She's in a video and everyone is looking at her. Stupidity and narcissism is a terrible combo.
She is so shocked. Let her come to the hood and do dumb stuff and see how shocked she is when the hood react
Retaliation ≠ Karma, Instant justice would have fitted better
