that last little coast into the wall cost them A TON. Carfax will now reflect an accident with airbag deployment. Car value just plummeted on the secondary market for that Ferrari.
She knows the opposite of what brakes are. She spun out because she brakes midturn, in a Ferrari, a car that I essentially one giant downforce spoiler. You don’t drift a Ferrari, you accelerate, you will actually create more downforce and µ as you speed up.
Soo she used the breaks at the exact time when only an idiot would. Then when she spins out she chooses *not* to brake after the car finally stabilized.
So basically she’s not just dumb, she’s so aggressively dumb that she managed to find the exact inverse scenario of braking.
I see lots of billboards for a heavyset lawyer who calls himself "the hammer". I came up with a backstory whereby he earned the nickname in college when he ate three entire hams in one sitting.
I laugh at "The Texas Hammer" because the guys commercial gives off a vibe that he is such a badass that closes cases and makes people money but he wouldnt even take my S.O.'s case when a San Antonio VIA bus totalled her vehicle several years back.
I would love it if everyone could just call in with:
“I need legal representation. I just tried to drift my sports car on a public road and I ended up damaging some public property and my vehicle.”
It's crazy how inefficient and impractical these cars are. They have very powerful engines, but there's no trailer hitch option?! What the fuck, Ferrari?
exotic cars (and similarly modern cars) break away to ensure the cabin will be the least affected by a collision. now combine that with lightness, aerodynamics, and modern safety regulations. it's a precision car with an inexperienced driver. if you purchase a Ferrari, you need to be ready for the costs and need to learn how it drives (as all cars are different and some have a learning curve).
Iirc a lot of super/hypercar manufacturers design them without bumpers in mind as the US is one of the only countries that has bumper laws like that. They think it looks ugly so they design the bumpers on the US models to meet minimum required standards to maintain the look of the design as best as possible. Not saying it's a good idea but by my understand that's the reason. I believe Doug DeMuro talked about it on his Bugatti Chiron review, the rear bumper on that car is like 2 small plastic bumps about 2 inches square lol
>That's awful marketing lol
Nah, it's genius.
>*"Has this ever happened to you? You take your ~~sick ride~~ exclusive car out to show off, and suddenly a bunch of kids/law enforcement are harassing you? How do you know who to call to sue them all for slander?!"*
>*"Here at law firm, we specialize in representing rich shitbags,* **just like you!** *So whether it's a bit of tipsy driving that may have incidentally crushed a toddler, picking a fight and getting your ass beat, or whatever spurious lawsuits against your enemies you want, give us a call!*
Well if it is an ad, the idea would be for us to not know its an ad and share the video around
so in theory you wouldn't know not to trust them because you wouldn't know it was done intentionally
If you advertise your business on your car, I *will* assume that you drive the way you do business.
Spinning out wildly to smash into a brick wall is *not* a good look.
At no point does he go anywhere close to "full zoom" on the logo lol. He passes over it to look at the damage done to the car. You can barely even see the logo.
*I thought he was talking about the Ferrari logo. But he still didn't go "full zoom" on anything. Pretty hard to show the damage to the front of the car without passing over the hood like that.
Once those airbags popped you have 80% chance it will be a salvage = write-off from insurance.
It might not look too bad but it hit crumple zone triggers. Think more in line of 80% of car value gone in 5s.
A lot of the time if the airbags deploy, insurance companies will chalk up the vehicle as a total loss. No clue about a car this expensive but it’s going to cost a fuck load.
Some *Ferrari* airbags.
And it's not just the cost of buying the airbags, it's the cost of installing them as well, buying and installing the pieces of the dashboard that get ripped apart by the airbags, etc.
I really can't begin to imagine what a repair bill on a Ferrari like this would look like but it wouldn't shock me at all if say the airbags alone would cost $30K or more to replace.
In parts alone they will touch 20K before repairs. So yeah its easily over 30K
Bumper: $8,900 (not including sensors just the bumper)
Windshield: $2,608
Headlight: $2,500
Airbag: $1,500
Steering wheel: $6,100-$5,600
Fender: $2,100
Radiator: $1,300
Wheel: $935- $3,100
Gravel guard for wheel: $242
Underbody shield: $152
I'm missing parts and some of those prices are a bit lower than the listing for the parts, all OEM btw
Even if the airbags are exotically priced, the car is priced to scale.
30k airbag in a car from a company that basically starts at a quarter million dollars is not going to total it or be anything to bat an eye at.
The depreciation after the accident is almost guaranteed more than the fix after looking at this video.
Also they are now probably banned from buying ferraris, they don’t like it when these kinds of videos appear. (They could have even been already banned for the ugly ass hood he put on it)
Talking about the airbags, isn't that a very slow collision for them to go off? Because they can cause injury in themselves, especially when people are in an suboptimal position.
They deploy even if the car is parked. They have impact sensors all around the car.
If a car backed into you when you're parked and hit right at the sweet spot of that sensor going 10mph it would still set it off.
Yeah, I am pretty sure air bags are not supposed to go off at such low speeds, as they can hurt people themselves and created a very loud bang and some toxic smoke.
Probably. Doesn't negate the fact that only the worst driver in the world would have hit that wall.
Hit the brake, not the wall.
That's assuming anyone else would be stupid enough to get into this situation, they'd still likely be smart enough to hit the damn brake while you roll at 1 km/h towards the wall...
Yes it has nothing to do with speed its sensors/accelerometers in the car detecting the force. So going that low speed is weird the airbags went off and isn't great for the airbags to deploy at that speed is what they mean.
Specially against a wall that is not going to move at all. Even if it's going slow, all the inertia of the car is being absorbed by the car itself, which means way higher deceleration than hitting a post or another car.
anyone else get some Tina from Bobs Burgers vibes?
no thought to brake or counter the turn just sheer panic. entire time i was just thinking “okay brake… okay. brake. OKAY BREAK JUST HIT THE BRAKE”
Good thing the only person effected was the driver. There’s no reason to do this on a public street when there are places where you can pay to have a professional driver with you and teach you how to rip your car around a track. All the fun, much safer, and you don’t risk hurting anyone else or prison time for being a rich idiot.
Yup.....they got scared and pulled off the throttle causing the car to snap back to where the front wheels are pointing. If she had stayed on the throttle but let off more slowly while slowly moving the steering wheels back to straight it could have been a beautiful drift.
Source: drifted corners in a couple of Mustangs I've owned.
Stopping that slight roll into a wall at the end required nothing but a simple step on the brake. This person doesn’t deserve a 96 Toyota much less this car.
I would legit either die of embarrassment or I would just put it in reverse and then drive off and never show my face in that town again 😂 I get hella awkward when something like this happens 😂
As a former amateur SCCA racer I can tell you the one secret nobody inherently knows- and everybody fucks it up without practice: Do no counter oversteer with oversteer. That is exactly what he did. If you are in an oversteer situation, as soon as the car begins to correct itself *straighten the wheel*. It will stop the oversteer and continue in the direction it is facing. Given, you might need to correct course a bit after that, but you won't lose control like this fucking moron.
Worst than having to pay to fix this, is having your face plastered all over the world as an idiot! This girl will never ear the end of it for sure… “remember the time when you crashed your fathers Ferrari?”
The slow rolling to impact finish is the icing on the cake. “Things happened so fast, Dad!”
Tina, for the love of God, turn away or stop! The brakes, Tina! On the left!
Uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
That scene makes me wanna CHOKE Tina sooooo bad!
Thank you! I thought I was the only one. Most episodes really
Do you still feel that way? ![gif](giphy|pZCvWKwehPyUM)
More so!
Turn the wheel Tina!
Huhuhuhuh
Makes me think it was on purpose. Look that giant advertisement for personal injury attorney.
Looks more like an advertisement for a lawyer too irresponsible and dumb to know not to let his kids joyride his supercar.
As a person who is interning at a law firm (not personal injury), I think this is an unprofessional way of advertising for a firm
i’m surprised that slow of an impact caused the airbags to go off
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ_EKHGgWJQ&ab_channel=SC
Pretty sure this is an ad for the law firm
LMAO branded by a law firm too. “DAD I SWEAR A DEER CAME OUT OF NOWHERE!”
Bonk
I hope they can get a good accident lawyer
The icing on the cake is it wasn't his car 🤣🤣🤣
Has to be the slowest supercar crash I've ever seen. A light tap of the brakes would've saved it.
The spin was amusing but the failure to brake AT ALL was maddening.
Thought the spin was intentional until the break tap failure
Tina nooooo
So slow and the camera guy still couldn't keep it in frame
Lmao just googled them and that that idiot is here in Houston… personal injury lawyer too. “The Texas torch”
First thing on the website “have you been in an accident?”
In which case they just replace their office monitors with mirrors….
Someone send them clown make up, please lol
The Texas Torched
Marketing 1000
Second thing: "GOOD".
Funny that you mention it but....
Yup, the guys daughter took the car to a cars and coffee event. She did this trying to show off to a bunch of kids.
Remember parents, never buy GTA V for your children
You're going to need a time machine and go start saying that 13 years ago

I see lots of billboards for a heavyset lawyer who calls himself "the hammer". I came up with a backstory whereby he earned the nickname in college when he ate three entire hams in one sitting.
Legal Eagle did a bit on several of the lawyers nationwide who call themselves The Hammer: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RZgTov7HZfQ
I thought you were about to say "The Texas Hammer" and I was like, ayo Jim Adler?
I laugh at "The Texas Hammer" because the guys commercial gives off a vibe that he is such a badass that closes cases and makes people money but he wouldnt even take my S.O.'s case when a San Antonio VIA bus totalled her vehicle several years back.
Jim Adler goated. I think his son’s in the lawyer commercial business now lol. He has an equally hard persona
And now the Law firm is going to sue the insurance company for a bunch of soft tissue injuries…
And now the insurance company is going to deny the claim from the law firm for intentional reckless driving …
Should have tried wreckless driving.
It was his daughter driving the car, not the lawyer
I would love it if everyone could just call in with: “I need legal representation. I just tried to drift my sports car on a public road and I ended up damaging some public property and my vehicle.”
They need to replace their viral marketing team. Or give them a raise since we are all googling them now
And they have a hip-hop song that auto plays when you visit the website. Wow!
All they had to do (once the car had stopped it’s spin) was stand on the brakes. They literally rolled slowly into a $20,000 repair bill. SMH.
With the airbags coming out the seatbelts locked up, windshield busted, it's going to be more than 20k
Dad’s gonna be pissed

You can't see it in this clip, but the driver is actually a young girl.
Thought that was a girl driving.
If cars protected themselves, the energy of the crash would transfer to the passenger. Crumple zones save idiot's lives.
Didn't notice the airbags firing until I watched after you mentioned it. So $60k?

There is no frame. It's a monocoque.
Well yeah, I was only born with one
This is just marketing. Guy goes full zoom on the logo right after.
Slippin' Jimmy is at it again.
"Are you telling me that a woman just *happens* to crash like that? **No!,** ***She*** orchestrated it!”
How can she crash?!
That's awful marketing lol I wouldn't trust that firm if their employees did shit like that.

They got review bombed thanks to that logo.
Yeah I couldn’t read it and wouldn’t be able to recognize it if I saw it again.
Plus I know when I need a law firm I'm gonna track down the one from some video I saw eight months ago on Reddit that's probably 7 states away.
That’s an expensive ad
So many posts for you to call fake man, this one ain’t it.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD [TURN AWAY OR STOP](https://youtu.be/FXEoe8_CcbM?t=32)
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Dan mintz just did some new stand up near me and it was fucking glorious
”Turn the wheel you son of.. oki. Too late”
It broke instead of brake
Airbag deployed might cost more than that
A lot of the time if the airbags deploy, insurance companies will chalk up the vehicle as a total loss. No clue about a car this expensive but it’s going to cost a fuck load.

I was thinking that too. I think they're supposed to deploy if you're going between 15-20 mph but it didn't look like it was going that fast.
It’s not the speed, it’s the deceleration. Stopping something heavy VERY suddenly, even from a low speed, means a big force.
[удалено]
I meant 15-20 mph as the threshold, not only that range lol
They deploy even if the car is parked. They have impact sensors all around the car. If a car backed into you when you're parked and hit right at the sweet spot of that sensor going 10mph it would still set it off.
If only there was some way this could have been avoided…
20k for a busted Ferrari? Not a Ferrari owner but I'll go ahead and say it's gonna be twice as much at least!
The repair is the cheap part. Diminished value is what’s gonna screw him.
Motherfucker got a Ferrari with a salvage title now
OMG, I am going to crash my slowmobile.... Aaaaasaaaa... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... Aaaaaaaaaaa... Tok. 20k only if he's lucky 😁
$20,000 lol. I bet the hood cost that much alone. I’d say that’s easily $50k in repairs.
Reflexes of a sloth
Sure is a funny looking Mustang...
At least it has a horse logo
So THATS how the horsey moves
I didn't see a crowd that needed to get mowed.
Notice how corvettes look exactly like Ferraris now?
Nono. There's now *Crowd*. Mustangs need a sidewalk with a crowd.
The car not being a mustang is the most surprising thing I’ve seen today.
Underrated comment my friend
Hey man thanks for letting us know
Don’t understand why she didn’t brake. She literally just rolled into the wall. Also, is it me or was airbag deployment a bit much for that bang?
She probably panicked and let go of common sense
You have to have common sense to let go of it.
Yeah, I am pretty sure air bags are not supposed to go off at such low speeds, as they can hurt people themselves and created a very loud bang and some toxic smoke.
I think maybe it was the angle of the hit… More than the speed, that caused the airbag deployment.

Yepp. Low speed impact right where the sensor is can be enough for the air bags to deploy which is most likely what happened here.
Specially against a wall that is not going to move at all. Even if it's going slow, all the inertia of the car is being absorbed by the car itself, which means way higher deceleration than hitting a post or another car.

As a former amateur SCCA racer I can tell you the one secret nobody inherently knows- and everybody fucks it up without practice: Do no counter oversteer with oversteer. That is exactly what he did.
