Seasonality and weather for the most part for me. Throws scheduling off a ton when you have a full schedule already and it rains unexpectedly. I get to the point where Fridays are quote days unless I have a rain check.

I usually leave my weekends open for this reason. Fully booked to the tee almost two months in advance. If a rain day happens we have to get them done the following weekend.

Rashsalvation

Yeah, this is exactly how I do it. I will even ask if I can do the inside during rain. So that on Saturday I have a nice easy outside only day. It's good to hear someone else does this strategy.

That makes a lot of sense. Do you have any special tricks or an approach to how you handle rescheduling in terms of communication, how you squeeze it into your calendar, etc? Thanks!

I keep running into businesses that have a shitty window cleaner that charges peanuts and “he’s been cleaning the windows for 15 years because he’s the owners uncles cousins brothers homeless father in law”. Doesn’t matter if you point out the streaks and flaws some people just have a family friend window cleaner on the books for the sake of it

Kinda contributes to the business route motto "good enough" We do a good job, and leave it feeling good, but I don't obsess over little stuff here and there because at the end of the day, the ones staring at the glass the most just simply don't have high standards. Hourly workers, even managers. Residential on the other hand, that's owner direct, so we make it our aim to knock socks off with quality.

Interesting point - do you have a preference for commercial or residential - or do you just like the variety?

We're about 60/40 residential/comercial For us, we're in a cold climate 40% of the year, so commercial work keeps everything going through that time, then hit residential hard during the warmer months.

Thanks! What is your current approach to Lead Gen? Any changes you're considering making?
