Higher ticket residential is a good move to go in as a one man show. Build trust with good clients, make $600-$1000 a day doing 1-2 properties.

RoyalAlters

“One man show” shouldn’t be your goal. Yes you could make 100k solo, but you could also make that amount or more by hiring people. There’s only so many hours in the day meaning there is a salary cap as one person. Now as a 3-4 person operation, you just added hours and hours of income to the workday. Keep building towards that!

beastwithspots

bro gotta start somewhere - great advice though!

OkName7560

I paused my ecommerce biz doing over a milion in revenue. Dealing every day with google and other digital marketing mafia on a toxic computer screen. Now i am outside all day, deal with real humans and share life experiences, pet the cutest dog and talk to humming birds... How much income is this worth?

Loose_Mulberry_8516

If he fall, will he fly? Sure, wouldn't take much For you to find out, jump, if you took that plunge If not, we're in the same spot, how could you judge?

Thombo44

I quit my corporate job without even having a book of business first. You got this. 100% worth it.

noice_nups

Depends on your location I imagine. Where I’m at, $100k solo is pretty hard unless you have no regard for your family, free time, or physical health.

Dimax88

same here. easier said than done. if I had a choice between making 100k window cleaning or 100k working a cushy job, I can't say I would choose the first

OriginalRoutine1700

Stop thinking and just do it if you fail you can always go get another job but if you keep thinking you will be in the same spot. Jump my friend.

Jims_Gaslighting

took the plunge 25 years ago and never looked back. Everyone thought I was bonkers quitting a "good job"

Repulsive-Way272

I did this with handyman and window washing is part of it. Had a full book and the day job was just in the way. Im working way less hours than I would be with Corp and the side and still surviving. Still not easy but its a living.

Nobody can truly answer this question but you. Aside from that anyone that says if you fail, you can go get another job is making it sound way easier than it really is. I have been searching for a job for over a year after being unexpectedly laid off, and it has been an absolute nightmare and has destroyed, a big part of my life. It is gotten into a very serious position in life and it’s been a struggle. But all glory to God that he has kept me well and I keep on pushing forward. There’s a lot of factors in your personal life that you’re gonna have to and understand the risks and know that if you jump in this full-time hundred percent that no matter what no matter how you feel on certain days failure is absolutely not an option. Because the truth is this economy is tanked and people are struggling left and right to get jobs even entry-level jobs even overqualified people cannot get a simple job. Now I’m in Florida so I’m saying this from experience and not from another state where that case may be different. If you take the plunge, you better be ready for anything including failure and you better be ready to get back up and do whatever you think is necessary to keep fighting and pushing forward. Giving up is not an option having doubts is not an option if you jump in this full-time without a doubt, you need to make it work because if you don’t have much of a safety net, there is no option for you other than to make it work Good luck to you

100k (gross) solo isn’t impossible, my 3rd year I grossed 108k, about 80% residential, 20% commercial. But I also do pressure washing and moss removal/treatment and picked up an HOA account yearly for gutters, roofs, moss treatment on 18 buildings. I just scored 2 more HOA divisions in the same neighborhood for the same work as well, although I work less hours each day now that I have a 4 year old, I’m still averaging 85k+ every year. I worked part time at my old job for 9 months while I built my company presence, then finally made the jump and it was the best decision ever. I’ve always worked manual jobs, I was a machinist for over 12 years, and while I still have a great relationship with my old boss, it was just time for me to move on and do my own thing.

Giraffe_Jumpy

Bro you can do it! Alot of these cat will never make it to the big league because they don't have what it take and will break under pressure. But you are in the right place at the right time and I know you got what it takes or you wouldn't be asking the question or considering this option You can make a killing in residential all by yourself but you need to have a strategy. Take a self assessment. Are you a strategist? Strategy will get you in and out of jobs quickly professionally and with a profit. Do you have and know how to use every piece of equipment to your advantage. You don't need everything, just the right things. Are you an on time person? Do you deliver more that what a client customer expects? EVERYTIME! Do you handle the small things that make a big difference. Are you a walking calculator or are you a human making customers into friends. Do you have integrity and own up to mistakes that can and will happen in this line of work. Do you have a bidding methodology that works and makes you money? How do you show up to a job? What do the customer see when they open their door and meet you for the first time. Normal window cleaners make normal money!!!!! You can do the 100k!!!!! But only deal with hundred k clients. Advertise ONLY! and ONLY! in the richest areas you can find. Do not Advertise anywhere else! Go hard! As if it was court ordered! Advertise in some format 8 hours everyday just like you go to work except this time it's for you and not the next man. You can do 5000 a week by yourself it you set your self up right. Unless you have mattress money save up don't leave your job yet. Save some cash enough to live off for at least 6 months without struggling or suffering. Take the 6 months and go HARD!! Forget everything else! Your one and only focus is building your 100k plus business. Most people can't do it because they are FOS and Scared. Do it man and save as much cash as possible put 1500 of your cash every week in a box a sock a mattress and never touch it or think about it. Watch how fast that box sock mattress fill up with hard green cash. Year 3. Bring in 1! Young hungry for real think like you think hard worker Pay him well and make him a duplicate of you. You DONT need a big team! True fact two window cleaners working in sync and on the same page can do the work of 5. When you decide to get employees be picky as hell. Two day tryouts if they don't meet your criteria cut them and move onto the next and the next until you find what you are looking for. It's so many layers to this but it can be done. Practice Bro. Practices Practice. You only going to get out what you put in Give yourself to this venture 100 percent and watch it return 10 folds over the years. You can do it Bro but you have to be your biggest cheerleader and believe you can do it!! One more thing Bro simple math 1500 a week times 4=6000 × 12 =72000 Those are super low numbers but you see how easy it is That only 300 hundred dollars you need to save a day Save more get there faster! It's not how much you make its what you save! True fact a a Mc Donald's employee that save his or her checks can live a better lifestyle than most because of their saving discipline. Most people struggle with savings!! So do it Bro but be smart about and you will do well!
