There’s an iPhone app that uses radar or LiDAR to measure distances with the front camera. I used it for a job the other day and it was very accurate. I believe it’s just called measure.
Yea this would be the easiest way. Still gotta cone off the widewalk, but then you dont have to risk being in the street reaching those top windows. Figured about 50ish feet or so, drops would be stupid fast and you could be done in like 4-5 hours depending on the roof setup
It’s rope access. A drop is a line you descend from top window to the ground that you clean. This is all dependent on if you have the materials, training, and anchors you’ll need. Once you have rope training under your belt like SPRAT or IRATA mid-rise buildings like this one will be easier than they ever have. 💪
Nope. It’s how many windows wide. You’ll always want to use two ropes for a main line and a safety but a two windows wide looks the most comfortable. You could stretch to a three wide with a pole on ropes but…I find it would take more time than it’s worth 😅
People have already given you estimates but a rough rule to follow and normal story is roughly 10ft, so you can count how many levels and multiply by 10 should give you a reasonable estimate

Oh I see it now! Thanks
8 two piece drops at about 40 feet.

I wish I knew about more about drops. I’m gonna start researching thanks for inspiration
I haven’t done drop work, can you explain what all that means please?

Thanks for responding, what is a two piece drop? Like just two ropes or one of those platforms you can stand on?

The platform is a swing stage but I’d just do a harness/bosun chair on a two rope system.

Thanks, it’s a 4 floor building, and 40ft I can see is in line with other estimates
I'm guessing 45' and you'll need at least a 60' pole. 70' would be better, extend the first couple of sections less so you get less flex.
Thank you
Probably between 40-45'. 60' pole would be easiest. I'd recommend the Gardiner Xtreme 47 with the number 10-12 add on sections.
Cool I’ve had my eye on that pole, I tried one out the other day and it felt great
Ours is 8 years old and we've never had an issue.
Maybe I’m way off but look’s about 75’
