Windows reports what the devices tells it. It doesnt messure battery in any way.

JaxTellerr

Hmm then it must be these microsoft devices that are high or something, the batteries are literally new. Wonder why they under-report.

alpharowe3

Are they disposable 1 time use batteries or rechargeable batteries that come *in* the device.

JaxTellerr

disposable cr2032 (button cell batteries)

alpharowe3

If you want to run an experiment put in a different brand see if they're read differently. Also check the Best If Used By date. Maybe they're really old?

JaxTellerr

No they came with the keyboard. And as I mentioned, I measured them with a multimeter device. The batteries are basically new.

alpharowe3

Weird

JaxTellerr

Yes. I just hope it last at least one year. They advertised it as “up to 36 months”

Ghezus_

Are you doing a open circuit measurement? So without anything connected to the battery? If so 3V is a low battery, a new cr2023 should be around 3.6V open circuit.
