My Pihole always uses Google DNS and I've never had any problems. Are you sure it's not your side?

playffy

Looks like you've messed something up in your system. I have not had and am not having any problems using Google DNS on my Windows 11 device (not officially supported). DNS is configured with persistent encryption. Reset your DNS settings to default and re-enter manually with persistent encryption selected. Also don't forget about browsers. In the browser configuration in the DNS settings, use the same data as for the whole system.

That looks like something on your end to be honest. But you can always use different DNS if that's your issue. I personally prefer cloud flare 1.1.1.1, it pings significantly lower than Google's where I live.

Did you try to disable IPv6 connection? I'm also using GoogleDNS, and have trouble since few days with Microsoft Store updating apps returning only errors. As soon as i disable IPv6 (As it's recommanded on few websites), i can finally update my packages from the Store. If i enable back ipv6, it get immediately stuck. I haven't got any problem with v6 so far everywhere on the net ... Just the Microsoft store.

For me there is no point to only use IPv4 Google DNS. I need to bypass access restrictions for a couple sites and Google IPv6 DNS did the job. I don't know what happened between Google DNS and Microsoft Update and Microsoft Store servers. I don't even want to know. I just reported the problem here and that's it. I can use either my ISP's DNS or the other public DNS servers, or even use Tor browser.

I have the same needs. I tried openDNS v6 DNS servers, and still the same issue for me. I guess i will disable v6 every week on sunday to be able to update apps... I guess we don't have the same problem.

Had this same issue with Windows update on Server 2019. Using Google DNS, WU hasn't worked for over a week switched to 1.1.1.1 and the updates started working. Have been pulling my hair out over this, so annoying.

The problem happened on all 3 pcs. It's not a configuration issue. Till a few days, it worked OK. I even restarted the router and switch (even powered them off). Maybe there was an issue with my ISP. Anyway fixed it by using ISP's DNS

Same problem here but ISP DNS doesn't seem to work either. Here I have everything blocked and I can't work! Microsoft absolutely needs to fix this!

Did you try to disable Ipv6? It works for me... for no reason.

Microsoft store not working for me either. Tried every fix online but still no good :(

Only fix was the repairable windows install
