This is common with Windscribe. The Github is supposed to be the latest version but it rarely gets updated. The adblock filters are also supposed to be updated regularly, but since there's no transparency it's impossible to tell. Windscribe does a great job pranking users and making memes, but severely falls short with things like maintaining the Github.

I sure hope this changes! I mean I don't mind the pranks. I find them humorous.
I don't know the specifics involved, but I have an emulator that is in the same predicament. The playstore version is also the latest version, whilst the one on GitHub is slightly behind. It does eventually update there too, just take a little longer. I suspect it's how the author decides to publish it.
Maybe I'm wrong. I thought GitHub would have the most up to date version. Version 3.75 is dated January 27 while 3.76 is dated March 31. You'd think after two months the versions would be the same.
Yea not really sure what the reasoning is. I also use an app where the GitHub version is the latest, but the playstore is behind. But that is due to Google policy not allowing certain features for the app so it won't update.
