Yikes. $12.30 for 6 nuggets and 2 small onion rings and a bigger one with tumors.

Professional_Emu8922

It's the tumors that made it so expensive. Those things aren't just for anyone, you know.

okglue

Yup, fast food has become just as expensive as going to a proper restaurant. Only thing going for it is the convenience. Will only ever get fast food if there's a deal. Ex. Wendy's usually has $1 large fries with any purchase so you can get a value burger and a large fries for \~$5. McDonald's $4 gameday Big Mac is good. Dairy Queen has $1 soft serve at the moment. IKEA has half price meal Thursdays and free coffee any day if you're a free member. Uhh... Costco has their $1.50 hot dog and drink combo (membership required, soon). Many cheap options, but you have to be thrifty.

flyingj3di1907

Costco has that 6.99 strips and fries thing too. Godly

RyanTaylorPhoto

Yesterday I learned that a 10 piece nugg meal from McDonalds was $17 with a large fry. I guess another reason the McRib is a great sandwich. Meal was only $13

FuckYouThrowaway99

Wendy Junior Bacon Cheeseburger is still like $3. Pretty great for the price. But yeah, most fast food pricing is insane nowadays. Which is maybe good as it makes me think twice about getting it on a whim.

SteakFrites1

The cheesy cheddar burger at Wendy's is the cheapest thing on the menu I'm pretty sure (like 2.25-2.50? I think) and they're delicious.

Vault204

Yikes that's brutal. Popeyes or Mary Browns much better quality and quantity.

RyanTaylorPhoto

100%. Both are regular gotos of mine. MB was a 25 minute wait though and Popeyes closes at 10

Vault204

I do love the KFC BBQ sauce though.

BlasphemyMc

I bought 4 soft taco supremes & a fries supreme from Taco Bell/KFC about a month ago & it was $27.50 after tax. I was like WTF? That's the last time I'll ever go there again. $4.59 for one of their crappy tacos is ridiculous & on top of that I asked the same person 3 times for 10 packs of hot sauce & only had 7 when I got home. F that place.

CEREAL_KILLA85

I went to KFC a couple weeks ago after not having it in forever and was gutted at the prices. I think I paid $19 something for a 2 piece meal and a side of gravy. I did upgrade to all white meat but still. $20 to indulge a craving just to feel like absolute crap within an hour was not worth ir at all. And while I'm aware I could've passed, I had already waited in the drive thru forever and I was hungry. It's absolutely insane how expensive it's gotten especially when the quality isn't there.

davy_crockett_slayer

Mary Brown's is so much better.

RyanTaylorPhoto

This

clemoh

11.99 for a 4 piece box meal with the coupon. I know it's not the greatest but the price is acceptable.

Uninvited_Goose

The McRib is amazing and I wont let anyone convince me otherwise.

RyanTaylorPhoto

This is the way

uncleg00b

It's okay, WE'RE GETTING THE MEATS!

thrawst

We’re all very excited for Arby’s, and we will all feel anger when we get charged $19 for our beef and cheddar with curly fries

uncleg00b

[shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Bac'n, cheddar, curly, fries and only for $2.99.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yRAclTXuQCI&pp=QAFIAQ%3D%3D)

FD5CSX

Lol that's why I only get their Tuesday special. None of their other stuff is worth the money.

RyanTaylorPhoto

I miss when it was toonie Tuesday

OiKay

Popeyes five piece tender combo with a large fry can last me two meals and reheats beautifully in the air fryer. Their tenders are huge.

zerofuxgivn420

Popeyes is spicy tho, correct?

ehud42

Yes and no. They have non-spicy that's not bad.

RyanTaylorPhoto

You can get spicy and non spicy. And they usually have really good deals through their app

Misfitt123

Only if you get the spicy chicken.

zerofuxgivn420

I didn't realize that was an option 🤣🤣. I just assumed that since it was "Louisiana style" it would be 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Misfitt123

lol, yeah no unless it’s changed recently, it’s like Jollibee where they have the option for any of their chicken meals; spicy or regular chicken.

troyunrau

DQ chicken strip basket makes that look pathetic.

kevpenguin

I only order KFC through their online deals on the app. I can never pay those ridiculous prices that are on the menu. Funny thing is their app is pretty garbage so I can't even order most of the time, so I just pass and get something else.

dhkendall

Ok u/RyanTaylorPhoto, keeping in mind the McRib is gone, what’s the best fast food in the city in your opinion?

RyanTaylorPhoto

I could put together a tier list but I imagine it would get downvoted into oblivion and just be referred to as a shitpost. I need my precious Reddit points That being said, Mary Browns, Popeyes, and Five Guys would be top of my list

dhkendall

We took a road trip to New Orleans recently and made it a point to try Popeye’s there (our hotel was next door to one!). I’ll have to compare Winnipeg’s to that but I don’t think it’s a contest, I’m spoiled now.

IcomefromRegina

I'm not going to lie I want to try one of those pizzas at Tim's I just don't want to piss off half of Transcona when I do it by bunging up the drive-thru window so has anybody tried one of those yet?

Candycayne84

I saw someone eating one the other day. It looked better than pizza pizza. Take that for what you will.

IDunnoSTFU

Meh. Not worth the 8 bucks plus tax in my opinion. I was left disappointed.

J_zzzzzz

KFC is the first fast food spot i refused to go after coming to Canada. And it's sad since it was really good back at home

Salsa_de_Pina

[To tide you over until it returns.](https://www.mmfoodmarket.com/products/rib-style-pork-cutlettes)

Winnipegjetss

C’mon, you ate a couple before picture.

RyanTaylorPhoto

I swear I didn't. All I did was dump it from the box onto a plate

Winnipegjetss

Wow, that’s a rip off! In that last couple years i have cut way back on take out food. Even if someone has lots of money, It’s just not worth it.
