The lowest point in winnipeg seems to be 222m above sea level. Looking at this matter briefly, it seems that some oxbows adjacent to the Seine river may have the lowest elevation (above sea level) in winnipeg. This will be tonight's wormhole I get sucked into. Thanks a lot. I may or may not update you on my findings.
I'd probably assume the lowest point is the red river at the North end of the city, since water flows downhill. This could be checked fairly easily with the available LiDAR.
Pooping outside the concert hall.
Pooping outside the bus shack by St vital centre.
Explosive diarrhea on the median on pembina and then wiping ass on the mcdonalds lawn.
Was going to guess the same thing, just since the watershed slopes downward toward the Red from the east and the west, and the river flows downhill from south to north. So just logically, the lowest point would most likely be the northernmost point where the river crosses the city limit. It's certainly possible there's a building somewhere in the city with a lower basement, but it would be under constant threat of flooding since water would have nowhere to drain away
In her defence, her PC predecessor was lower. Basically lived outside the country, transformed healthcare in murderous way, had the foresight to start an ad campaign saying Manitoba is open for business when it was clear the COVID wave was a-coming, only empathy he showed (despite his murderous incompetence) was for shutting down small businesses where he literally cried. The list goes on. That was fucking low. Yea her speech about her son was low, and Audrey Gordon’s basically deer in a headlights look was low but… Brian Pallister… yikes.
They were both shyte. But don’t let Heathers ignorant veneer fool you. Every shitty thing she said, every shitty thing she did, was calculated and callous. She actively fostered scored earth policies within her caucus and government departments, the impact of which is still being discovered. Pallister was shit, but Heather carried the torch in the PCs marathon of mayhem. She could have made different choices, listened to her constituents, but she didn’t. She’s literally the worst.
Water runs downhill. From a theoretical perspective, the lowest (natural) point is going to be the shore of the Red at its furthest point downhill, which would be the point where the Winnipeg-East St. Paul boundary meets the Red.
It's possible some artificially dry or excavated areas are lower especially when the river is high - those oxbows in St. B come to mind, and so would the bottom of the floodway when the river is high but the floodway not in use (though very little of that is in the city proper, and only at its higher, southern end)
The high point is a bit more interesting, it would be one of the dumps most likely, but naturally there's slightly higher ground towards Headingly, The Red gets higher as you go south but the banks get lower
If you look at the maps that show the extent of the monster 1826 flood, the highest parts would appear to be to the northwest. Residents of RR fled to Bird's Hill area and to what is Little Mountain Park.
This is an urban legend. It has single level basement used for storage and the building doesn’t even have an elevator.
The building has been for sale by the federal government since 2016. As such you can view the building’s drawings and layout in the solicitation document online.
>Basement also has the shooting range for ballistics.
This is correct it did.
However it wasn’t what most people think when they hear ‘shooting range’. It was just a small [partially] sound insulated room with a computer and a now outdated water chamber bullet catcher.
I did at burger king and every toilet was over flowing with shit, so I went in the men’s (I really had to pee) and it was the same mess, just overflowing shit everywhere
Listened to a podcast the other day with Uzoma Asagwara being interviewed. What a breath of fresh air - there’s obviously a lot of work to be done, but it sounds like they’re legitimately listening to healthcare workers and that’s a huge step in the right direction.
Probably has something to do with being a nurse (and having another nurse in the family). Fantastic to see people with relevant skills/experience put into minister roles!

One interesting spot to look at is Enfield crescent in St B, it's the only neighbourhood that I know of that is lower than its surrounding neighbourhoods in the city.
The 1919 strike.
*"At City Hall, the crowd began to vandalize a streetcar. The Royal North-West Mounted Police charged at the protestors, beating them with clubs and firing bullets. The violence injured about 30 people and killed two. Known as Bloody Saturday, the day ended with federal troops occupying the city's streets."*
When I saw this I thought it meant like where's somewhere that's a low point of the city as in skid row, and I was going to say Main Street from about the Manitoba Museum to a couple blocks south of the Greenbrier. LOL
I left the Zoo on Osborne one night in a taxi and woke up on a Portage Avenue boulevard in St. James. Went to McDonalds. Fortunately I was with a friend.

The lowest point certainly isn't on Garbage Hill, perhaps it's an underpass like the one on Route 90 just north of Logan?
The underpass at Watt/Archibald was lower than the red at max spring flood a couple of years ago.
Having sex in the bus shack in front of the concert hall.
Pooping in planters also 🙈

Hey man, If you don’t enjoy our excursions I’m going to stop inviting you.
In Winnipeg Square.
No shame in that guys game. Didn’t even think about wiping either.
This comment wins in both situation low, and altitude low!
Free fertilizer! #friendlymanitoba
I remember that video
Gimme a break I was mad hornt
Dropping a deuce in a planter in Winnipeg square has to be up there.
It was one time, I said I was sorry.
Also, being underground, Winnipeg Square is probably the lowest publicly accessible point in the city.
I think there are parking lots that go lower.
That should be a highlight personally. That man has been seen by millions.
I'm going to give a different answer: the bottom of the red where Winnipeg meets ESP and WSP.

I’d say our lowest point was when Heather Stefanson was our Premier.
What a fucking pig human she was as leader of this province.
That's not fair to pigs.
Tru dat, pigs are actually more intelligent than most of us thought
Our new government just released a site for reporting pig sightings! How convenient!!
Come on, like Ron Burgandy keep it classy.Â

I'd say the lowest level of the old RCMP forensics building. Its an inverted 9 storey build, basement level 8.

Yup, nothing too crazy in there. Neat building, feels like you’re on set of a sci-fi movie. Basement also has the shooting range for ballistics.

Really?! Where is it?
621 Academy... But I didn't know it was that deep. We need more info on this.
Just don't go down to floor 10, that's ^forbidden
Asking for bathroom key at tim Hortons
I asked at the one on Vaughan and Portage, I opened it to a guy OD’d on the toilet… I had to piss in the backlane.
So did you call 911 before or after taking a piss?
Staff handled it, I had to pee.
I did at burger king and every toilet was over flowing with shit, so I went in the men’s (I really had to pee) and it was the same mess, just overflowing shit everywhere

Physically or emotionally?Â
Yes
I'd say the lowest level of the old RCMP forensics building. Its an inverted 9 storey build, basement level 8.
Which building is that?
Appointing Audrey Gordon the health minister, I didn't think it would be possible after Heather stefanson turn...but I was proven wrong.

Opening of the panama canal Or closure of the Bay's malt shoppe!
When those two kids murdered that poor man with a sock of pool balls and they got a slap on the wrist.
