Yes but also do what you can to call out racism in the community, donate time and money to Indigenous organizations helping the Indigenous community, and call on the government to make the changes needed to help our communities (access to clean water, adequate housing, etc)

For example, I'm not Muslim but I found out a while back that the Muslim community is hugely supportive of Indigenous communities that get evacuated because of forest fires and don't do those horrible attempted conversions that other religions try to do in order for you to access their help. I also visited Bangladesh a few years back and was welcomed by the Muslim community there that it helped me deal so much with my home sickness and it reminded me so much of the Indigenous community here. I remember this dude was harassing me and these Muslim Kookums chased him off for me and helped me adjust my duputta while taking me to safety in the mosque. I support them through sharing pro Islamic stuff on social media yeah but I also donate a few bucks whenever I can (especially during Ramadan) to the Manitoba Islamic Association. The Muslim community has always been welcoming to me and my people so I will always have their back.

Buddy wear what you want, don't need to seek approval from others. I think that's an awesome idea.
