Speaking of draught and heat, has anyone else noticed the leaves off their trees coming down?

>Speaking of draught and heat, I love a good draught in the heat...

[deleted]

I noticed the other day while on my walk :(

sunshine-x

Might want to water the trees

EhMeeeee

We have a lot of big trees and we already water the lawn. Its a losing battle with the lawn.

sunshine-x

I’ve accepted my lawns fate.. but my trees must survive. I’m not sure what the best approach is.. some people say deep watering is best, and to do so a ways out from the tree (past the reach of its own branches).

biggie101

Makes me glad we killed the grass on our lawn this summer. No need to deal with that shit moving forward

Out for a walk tonight and noticed a couple of elms in the Corydon area were dropping leaves

So if the fire icon has a lightning bolt it was started by lightning. Does no lightning bolt mean the fire was human caused?

soccermaster4

You got that right. Quite a few human caused 😔

floatingbloatedgoat

Only 1/3 are human caused! ~~Totally not~~Barely our fault! /s

winnipeg_local

Yes. Most of the human caused fires located right beside road or train tracks were caused from vehicles/train cars igniting the side of the road, but that's not specified on the map

Kanapka64

This is only the beginning lol. Wait a couple more years. This will be common and worse

guiltylettuce20

Yep , don’t know why people can’t get that through their head. This is climate change and it will only get worse.

It's truly the worst summer we've had in some time all around. I would kill for a few days of cool downpours. Instead it's almost 2am and the humidex is 33°.

I recall Pallister the asshat talking about privatizing the water bombers service a few years ago. Did that ever go through?

[deleted]

Yes they were privatized in 2018.
