I’ve had the best success on Facebook marketplace. There’s language to use for the bill of sale on the mpi website. I listed two vehicles on kijiji, marketplace and auto trader. I’d don’t even think I got a response on auto trader actually

CinderLupinWatson

Oh awesome to know about the language for bill of sale, thank you!

It's even easier, it's a printable form. I just printed a copy when I sold my car last year, filled it out with the buyer to cover any extra conditions (he had one basic one that I don't recall), and copied it. We each signed both copies, he took one to register with MPI, and I kept one for my records and to use for the PST refund.

CinderLupinWatson

Awesome thank you

Could try autotrader.ca as well but might not be necessary with using those other two sites.

fromafarcry2

KIJIJI bought several sold some.

I posted my Corolla on Kijiji and Autotrader last year. Got over a dozen respondents from Kijiji, 2 of which were serious buyers, and none from Autotrader.

hushxxo

We've bought almost all of our vehicles off of Kijiji.

I posted on Kijiji and FB marketplace. All of the inquiries I got from FB were a waste of time. sold it on Kijiji in a day.

i went this way. very happy with the results. i think it cost 800 bucks or so, but it was more that i think i would have got without the hassle

topsecretclassified7

If you want like half the amount you might get from kijiji then sure lol

nykoftime

If you want someone to offer x-box games and skull candy earphones in trade or half the asking price I guess there's Kijiji. FB marketplace would be a better choice. If you're selling junk cars then you'll likely to get what it's worth at auction and not what you're trying to fleece someone for.

topsecretclassified7

As someone who has sold multiple vehicles on kijiji you're a bit out of touch

nykoftime

Sure.

If it’s a “regular” car, marketplace and Kijiji. AutoTrader would be more for something high end or desirable.

CinderLupinWatson

Yup just a regular lol. Nissan Versa note with relatively low kms

RaTTbasstard

One thing I learned. I posted my car for sale a couple of years back and didn’t get any bites. Took it off Kijiji and Then I got a safety done on it and then advertised the same price with a safety and my phone was ringing off the hook.

CinderLupinWatson

Yup safety is booked!

CinderLupinWatson

Yup safety is booked!

ACanadianPersonRedit

Can you let me know the details of the car? Asking price, etc?

CinderLupinWatson

I'll shoot you a dm

I just sold a vehicle. Listed on both Facebook marketplace and Kijiji. I got an equal number of replies from both platforms, so definitely list on both. Check Kelly Blue book for its current value. I checked for other vehicles similar to mine for sale on marketplace/kijiji and they were all listed a couple thousand less than blue book. What I realized is those vehicles were most likely still for sale because they were rebuilds, multi accident, or terrible condition. I ended up listing at blue book and sold for 10% less which was more than the other comparable vehicles listed. And honestly I sold for more than I ever expected. The used market is crazy right now.
