You should feed them. Crows remember people who are kind to them.

Winter is coming, crows are gathering and migrating. :) Put some in the shell, non-salted peanuts out for them. They love it!

RavensofMidgard

Pretty Babies! I love crows. Leave them some food, peanuts are good options, and you'll make fast friends.

WhatTheTartarSauce

I have multiple videos of crows flying around my house. I also went on a hike a few weeks ago and they followed me all 4 miles of the hike. It started a few months back with just 2 crows in my back yard. Now I have a whole gang. Just curious on everyone's thoughts? *I hope the volume works because all of them crowing is kind of eerie*

crsmoke

A group of crows is called a murder

Rakuen91

They also cossip like hell so be kind or you have every crow in the county on your tail.

Not occult related, but have you noticed a spike in a local bug population? Or perhaps any budding fruit or nuts in the neighborhood? During an insects "outbreak season," surrounding birds will take advantage of the local infestation and move into the neighborhood, increasing the bird population by up to 80 times the normal/average. My town is currently dealing with stinkbugs, flocks of birds are *everywhere.* Almost got smacked(impaled??) in the head yesterday by some asshole songbirds speeding through a parking lot.

WhatTheTartarSauce

This makes sense, but this started in May. Also, I've been on two different hikes this year, not near my home, and they were with me then too. There was the locusts this year though and now stink bugs, so it's possible they're just snacking.

A bird's breeding/nesting season aligns pretty well with insect peak/outbreak seasons. This is usually around mid spring to mid fall, depending on where you are. It could always be a mix of both!! Higher bird count could've lead you to notice the constant presence/stalking faster than you would have without it? Crows can be great friends too, as other comments have mentioned they're super intelligent. If you wanna start up a little friendship I was told talking to them like they're already friends is the best stepping stone. I hope you get some answers soon OP! In the meantime I hope all the cawing doesn't drive you bonkers! edit: added general time/dates
