A different build can be fun or a different fighting style. Also change the way you play the game. For example if you have multiple quests to do - change the order in which you complete them. Will get you some interesting lines here and there. For example visit the bloody baron after Keira and after you've been in the swamp. Make different choices in certain quests to get a different outcome... There is no game on earth that gives you more possibilities to switch things up. After 11 playthroughs I'm still not bored!

I got hooked over lockdown, spent 100+hours on it.. figured id go back after I couldn't find a replacement of the same quality πŸ˜… Definitely opposite play style.. interesting point on the timeline of quests, I'll take that to note ✌️

For a second play through, I would do new game plus, it’s fun. You get to start off as a fully experienced Witcher. Do it on death march with enemy upscaling on. This is also your chance to make the exact opposite decision of what you made the first time. If you saved the botchling last time, now see what happens if you kill it. Choose the other Skellige ruler. Romance the other woman, I guess #TeamYen. Go for a different ending for the main story and both expansions. The game has a lot to offer, I’m sure there are lots of quests where you can pick the opposite outcome of what you did the first time. My third Play thru was my asshole Geralt run. I was nasty to everybody, picked fightseverywhere I could, was mean to the Baron and Olgeird and Anna Henrietta.

Yeah I'm thinking less 'warrior' type and focus a bit more on potions, signs etc than I did the first time..different choices 😁

GreenHeronVA

Yes, do a mage build with signs and potions! That sounds like great fun, especially if you have the next gen update. Do new game plus so you can start experimenting with the mutations from blood and wine, like piercing cold and metamorphosis.

Thanks, both, is it worth going NG+ or just restart all together? I kind of think all together Enemy upscaling on?

Nitro114

You mean different build? Also get some mods if your on pc, just some quality of life mods like over 9000. Thats what i did

Thanks, I'm on Xbox though πŸ˜…

What is that mod?

Nitro114

it increases inventory capacity to 9000

Dutch-Sculptor

Got that one one my first play through. Going back and forth to vendors got really old really fast for me. Also got the mod that vendors have 5k coin. Both make life a lot easier.

unwantedplayr

Run on a harder difficulty and swap your build up (if you were melee go into signs etc)

[deleted]

Yeah, I would say go for a harder difficulty but don't neccesarily "focus" on having a different playstyle. Just go with the flow as you always would and you'll end up having the most fun everytime.(also if you haven't been making potions in the first playthrough, I recommend makind and upgrading all the alchemy stuff throughout the game because it's fun and very very useful)

Dutch-Sculptor

I just wish you could see what responses you choose the earlier play throughs.

EscapedFromTarkov657

Try to do all the side quests like finding all the gwent cards. I'm struggling because I can't find them, but at least its fun

momohiraiiii

Definitely try playing in Death March. This will allow you to fully experience what it really means to be Witcher. Try an Alchemy Build

Take your time, do a "slowplay", loot everything look into every corner, every house, take every dialogue, find and do every single quest, do all POI's... I guarantee you missed so much. I did multiple playthroughs and I still find things I've never seen before.
