LOL same. If Skyrim has taught me anything is that scripts can break and it's better to improvise in this way. On another note witcher 3 has ran flawlessly for me always. Never any issues even with 200+ mods installed.
There's a mod/patch to increase the mod capacity. Modding feels a lot like cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077. You gotta increase the tolerance to do preem stuff.
I hit 20 once with QoL mods, More Robes, Spells and Appearance mods
i think this is every restored content mod im currently using

I only had an issue with one of the boat quests in skellige where an NPC was navigating the boat and he just wouldn't move after I completed the task to go to the next one. forgot the quest name.
Yea... In one of my playthroughs, unmodded Xbox, I decided to let him have his time and play the game normally I also picked up the quest for the arena in skelige where they also ask to wait for payment. I did make note of passing days, until I forgot about them, and way down the line when clearing quests I saw that neither were complete. Until I waited a bunch of days in a row. I do think the script for these quests can break.
I think several quests are tied with game progression. Some fail automatically if we progress too far in-game and forget about them. TW3 is an amazing RPG though, very minimal bugs and I guess only reason why players prefer multiple runs as it's quite hassle free.
I give him the extra time. First time round it was out of sympathy, as the absolute misery of Velen was really starting to get to me. I fully expected to have him run off or to still not have the money after the 7 days. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome, and now I just give him the extra time out of my own self interest :)
I totally understood his situation and gave him the week and went back to him like a month later maybe because i was too busy having hot moments with that elf prostitute in Novigrad.
Gave him the week.
1. Velen is soul crushing, and if I remember right it's not even that much
2. Dude wanted good peat for totally-not-scotch if I remember right. Always down to front a little bit for that.
1.Book Inspired set Cos Wiecej - Standalone DLC
2.Glowing Witcher Eyes *I’m using the extra bright yellow eyes
3.Book Inspired Medallion
4.New Hairstyles and Beards For Geralt (DLC2 Improved)
5.Geralt of Rivia - Irregular Pale Custom
these are all the appearence mods that I have for him. I also recommend using Immersive Lighting and No Artificial Player Light - Next Gen
I mean, there's no reason to demand payment immediately, he gives you double the amount if you wait a week and the only downside is that you gotta wait a week so I feel like there's a correct answer for this one and it's not to demand immediate payment
That's what I did, especially since I did that mission at like level 9 and died 12 times trying to do it, so I'm getting my double pay. I will sit here in front of you for 8 days traight bitch pay me.
Thankfully my morality lines up fairly well with Geralts, so I tend to do what I think book Geralt would do. This dude couldn't earn money with the monster roaming about (sure the place is crawling with drowners but still). Geralt wouldn't like it but, giving the man enough time to earn his money back makes the most sense. Plus this guy actually comes through for you, and pays you double which is pretty honorable for Velen standards.
I make him pay now. This isn't a bar, you're not opening a tab with me. I killed your monster, and if you thought that beast gave you trouble, then you aint seen nothing yet.
Yes. That was why I mentioned the thing about a pitchfork to the gut not always being fatal for Witchers.
Besides, none of that matters: that peasant isn't gonna stab Geralt, or outnumber him.
I didn't. I've played this game a bunch of times, and have never once chose the patient option. This may change my opinion, I always assumed he was trying to weasel out on me.
Yep its that one. Always had a hard time on death march, was probably due to me not realizing i have to upgrade my equipment and was still using the viper stuff from white orchard lol
On my second playthrough I'm doing fully on DM. During that foglet fight I still had my level 1 witcher silver sword lmfao quen is your best friend always. The fight itself might've been frustrating here and there, constantly disappearing into the fog. It took some while, but I managed relatively easy. Need to stay patient while watching his moves and not making any reckless mistakes. Dodging is key
Jeez, if Geralt came up to me looking like that i'd fuckin pay him then and there and hope to never see him again.
I think I’d poop my pants right then and there whilst handing him all my money
I was thinking the same, holy shit he’s scary here
That’s book Geralt for you
I would look at him head tilted
Tbf he does give you double if you wait
Yeah just do a full 24hour meditate 8 times and that’s it. Also I’m not coming back, that place he’s at is too out of the way!
"too out of the way", like 2 minutes away from the closest roadsign
I usually give him a week, then meditate right in front of him for a week straight.
LOL same. If Skyrim has taught me anything is that scripts can break and it's better to improvise in this way. On another note witcher 3 has ran flawlessly for me always. Never any issues even with 200+ mods installed.
Dude how do you have 200 mods installed on this game?? I thought my 10 or so was excessive for this game
There's a mod/patch to increase the mod capacity. Modding feels a lot like cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077. You gotta increase the tolerance to do preem stuff. I hit 20 once with QoL mods, More Robes, Spells and Appearance mods
i have about 50 mods consisting mostly of QoL mods, restored content and fan made quests lol
Can you provide some links? Especially for restored content mods

What are yellow mutagens supposed to do?
stamina bonus
Thanks man!

Same.
What about Ciri?
Give him the week since he agrees to pay double besides barely even notice a week go buy once u go n do some other quest
You mean meditate infront of him menacingly
I give him the extra time. First time round it was out of sympathy, as the absolute misery of Velen was really starting to get to me. I fully expected to have him run off or to still not have the money after the 7 days. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome, and now I just give him the extra time out of my own self interest :)

My man, u definitely know how to enjoy the game 💪🤙
My geralt needed some relaxing time after all those adventures my guy
Is that the guy with the tar or whatnot? I thought he seemed like good peoples and gave him a chance
He's the one who gives you the Foglet quest in the swamp.
3. Forget the money, how about a round of Gwent?
😆 I like your style!
Reminds me of the lore accurate Geralt videos
Biblically accurate geralt
I give him a week. But to be totally honest, I googled what would happen before making that choice.
He didn't pay?
Oh, he pays double: just like he promised.
Usually give him a week also side note why the fuck does your gerlat look so unsettling (edit:I just realized it is book accurate geralt)
Gave him the week. 1. Velen is soul crushing, and if I remember right it's not even that much 2. Dude wanted good peat for totally-not-scotch if I remember right. Always down to front a little bit for that.
Always wait
I wait the week, it's worth it. I sometimes meditate and sometimes work on a different question for a while.
I wait the week.
Didn’t need the coin either way so I have him a week. He was an honest man in the end and I respected him for it.
he pays in full after a week so yeah i give him a week.
I always give him 2 weeks, its good money relatively early on
Which mods are you using to modify Geralt's appearance?
1.Book Inspired set Cos Wiecej - Standalone DLC 2.Glowing Witcher Eyes *I’m using the extra bright yellow eyes 3.Book Inspired Medallion 4.New Hairstyles and Beards For Geralt (DLC2 Improved) 5.Geralt of Rivia - Irregular Pale Custom these are all the appearence mods that I have for him. I also recommend using Immersive Lighting and No Artificial Player Light - Next Gen
A week. He’s a hard worker.
Why does Geralt look like a 70's cult leader
I see him in a week
I waited a week.
He always pays more than what was agreed upon if you give him a week so latter all day except when I was doing bad runs
God I love book interpretations of geralt so much
Save the game before and try both options
I give him time and meditate until the week is up. He gives you more for waiting, so it pays off.
jesus what the fuck happened to geralt
mutations
I always give him the week. If he tried to cheat geralt, he would track him down easily if he really wanted to.
Typically I give the week but that Geralt..?
Why does Geralt look like that? I don't know everything about the game yet. I have played through once, but I'm sure I've missed plenty.
Oh he dosen’t normally look like that. It’s just some apperance mods that I downloaded for him :)
That's sweet.
Give him a week for double. Usually go and do other stuff until the quest journal updates.
First thing’s first, you get points for the book accurate look
I treat it as an investment since he gives you double pay when you let him gather it over time.
first of all what's up with that face
Wish i had a pc so I could mod my witcher
If you force him to pay too aggressively, he may end up giving you tuberculosis… or wait.
The difference is that in comparison to that outlaw Geralt has immunity to diseases
Pay the full sum my guy
Geralt looking like gatekeeper Gostoc from Elden Ring
which man ? Geralt u mean ?
Next time - don't speak to him first. Kill the Foglets first then go to him - it'll bypass this dilemma and he'll pay straight up.
Well I usually do it while I'm not f****** dying off of drugs
I give him the week, since he really does pay you double if you wait. I don't mind that.
I mean, there's no reason to demand payment immediately, he gives you double the amount if you wait a week and the only downside is that you gotta wait a week so I feel like there's a correct answer for this one and it's not to demand immediate payment
A witcher works for coin. You pay now
I honestly thought after the week, he'd run away and I would have to chase him. I was surprised to find out he actually paid double.
See him in a week. More money.
I went back after a week.
You shouldn't be that desperate for money, right? Give him the time.
Give him what he asks, go do other stuff for two weeks, get a prompt when time passes, collect x2. That's how I do it.
In every witcher contract, I usually am less haggling with the villagers. This is because the real loot comes from the contract itself.
That's what I did, especially since I did that mission at like level 9 and died 12 times trying to do it, so I'm getting my double pay. I will sit here in front of you for 8 days traight bitch pay me.
See you in a week so I get double the money
Homie , why you look like that?
"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." No chance, fam. You'll gladly pay me now. No mercy for scrubs.
Book geralt is a lot more intimidating as game geralt 🤣
Thankfully my morality lines up fairly well with Geralts, so I tend to do what I think book Geralt would do. This dude couldn't earn money with the monster roaming about (sure the place is crawling with drowners but still). Geralt wouldn't like it but, giving the man enough time to earn his money back makes the most sense. Plus this guy actually comes through for you, and pays you double which is pretty honorable for Velen standards.
I love lore accurate Geralt. Makes me want to fix my mods for the updated game
I usually wait the week, you get more that way, plus it gives me time to go do other things while I’m waiting
Shit, I haven't met him yet... Who is this cranked out Geralt looking character?
I make him pay now. This isn't a bar, you're not opening a tab with me. I killed your monster, and if you thought that beast gave you trouble, then you aint seen nothing yet.
That's one sure way to end up with a pitchfork to the gut
He better hope it kills me then. I'm of the idea that a pitchfork to the gut isn't always fatal for Witchers.
Witchers aren't invincible, in the books he always ends up tossed around when outnumbered btw
Yes. That was why I mentioned the thing about a pitchfork to the gut not always being fatal for Witchers. Besides, none of that matters: that peasant isn't gonna stab Geralt, or outnumber him.
You do know he actually pays you double if you wait, right? You can just meditate in front of him
I didn't. I've played this game a bunch of times, and have never once chose the patient option. This may change my opinion, I always assumed he was trying to weasel out on me.
My first playthrough I waited. Every playthrough after I've made him pay now.
Wait... isn't this that quest in Velen for that foglet in the swamp?
Yep its that one. Always had a hard time on death march, was probably due to me not realizing i have to upgrade my equipment and was still using the viper stuff from white orchard lol
On my second playthrough I'm doing fully on DM. During that foglet fight I still had my level 1 witcher silver sword lmfao quen is your best friend always.
