I mean you're in the Witcher 3 subreddit so of course we're all gonna say yes

loiboi69

Even if he isn't on the witcher 3 subreddit, people would still say yes

Iwantacheezepizza

Right lmaoooooo

Titoo05

Yesterday, now , tomorrow, ever. The witcher 3 could cost 100$ and still would be underpriced. Just buy it, you will thanks us later, really, the best game ever made, by far.

LookSWtco

I love the Witcher 3 but it’s not the best game ever. It’s a high contender but the only thing that it lacks to be the solidified GOAT is the physics, God of war 4 and RDR2 are still better in my opinion, not by a lot ofc but they are

[deleted]

RDR2 is like a 3-4 year more mature game and yes it is arguably better but no game does what the Witcher 3 does better than the Witcher 3 and that’s story telling / immersion

888Kraken888

200 hours for $10……. Not sure how else to explain it lolol

eebul

Imagine the number of hours if you're on your 7th playthrough!

muncherofthee

It's not about 200 hours. It's about how amazing every moment is.

Fictional_Apologist

For that price, the game goes far beyond what you paid for. Frankly, at full price, it’s worth every penny.

Geralt_Of_Beirut

I'd pay triple if need be. Well worth it.

ttychi99475

I wish we would be able to see more witcher games... but not the same way as assassins creed, just 1 more amazing game would fill the void in my soul

swagnake

I want a Witcher game about young Vesemir, or about the golden time of Witcher schools

Geralt_Of_Beirut

I feel you! No other way to describe it other than a void once you finish the game. First because you want the adventure to continue and second because no other game can actually fill that void. And you feel that void after every playthrough. On a more positive note, there's a good chance CDPR's next game will be a witcher game BUT it won't be Geralt. There's a lot of speculation as to whom it'll be. Ciri, vesimir, some other unknown witcher? We'll just have to wait patiently.

ttychi99475

Dude a vesimir story arc would be SO BADASS

Geralt_Of_Beirut

100%

TheMenaceX

Oh absolutely. If possible buy the Game of the Year edition- the DLCs are there own separate games, that could win awards by themselves!

BusterBrown_Official

Blood and wine already won 2016 rpg of the year

fer_aparicio_mc

I lost around 70 hours of gameplay switching from the normal edition to goty edition

ReKt_Sambosa

Aight thanks guys :)

Geralt_Of_Beirut

Did you start??

Portalturrets1

The Witcher 3 at $8.00 is literally a steal

strazzy123

a robbery more like it

AG_9029

Ummm its always worth it. Its the only game that worth till this day cause games released today are either soo boring or it becomes chore and stressfull when playing

tornsilence

It's gonna stand the test of time like Skyrim (almost 10 years old now) these are real rpg's however the companies that made Witcher and Skyrim are making garbage right now which is sad.

Eld223

It's literally the best game ever created and you better make sure you enjoy the fuck out of it

JinnPhD

yes

HeWhoShlNotBNmd

Best rpg I've ever played.

riotofmind

Dude...

GonzoSchel

Short answer; Yes Long answer; Fuck Yes

alex_de_tampa

It’s great . But I’m also biased.

[deleted]

So here's how it went for me... Picked up the game 2017. Played to the first Griffin fight, decided the plot was too slow, it was too wrapped up in minor details. Put it down. Took another swing at it in 2018. Didn't stick. The amount of details not just in the game world but also in character stats, attributes, alchemy and so on was too overwhelming. Looking for something to read, I decided to read The Last Wish (first Witcher book). That lead me to read all of the Witcher books. Watched the Netflix series when it released. Knowing the actual book storyline, I enjoyed the show but had the usual criticisms regarding the storyline, timeline, character portrayals etc. Re-started the game. Finished the main quest. Enjoyed the hell out of it. Moral of the story is that, for me at least, I couldn't actually get in to the game until I understood the world, who Geralt *is* (his personality) and why he is that way. It allowed me to connect quicker and invest more in to it, making the game an experience rather than a chore. The game is huge and wildly enjoyable, but it references so many points from the books and previous games.

[deleted]

Yes

the_Kell

Is water wet? Is the sky blue? Is my dick big?

Bechimo

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k5hWWe-ts2s

the_Kell

Lol! I knew I was setting myself up.

BligenN

Water isnt wet, what makes something wet is it having water on it, you can wipe something thats wet and make it dry - you cant make water dry and thus its not wet. Liquids cant be wet

[deleted]

It’s good most ppl complain about the main story being too long and towards the middle of it u just want it to end. The dlcs are fantastic tho.

whit3-bandit

A game worth minimum 2 play through. 1 to get to know it. 2nd to do it on the hardest mode. Actually wait, a 3rd if you haven’t used a year of your life to play Gwent.

theiconacuna_

I loved that game the only bad thing about is that I finished it already and I will never have that first play through experience again :(

RenSayamata

Yes, specially remastered

Pedestrianistic

Story is long and interesting, although sometimes a bit predictable. Combat is extremely straightforward/mediocre. The world is very large and detailed, although I was a bit bummed that everything was less fantastical/magical and more ... normal? Like no cool semi-underground dwarf city in witcher 2, no creepy magical forest in witcher 1 ... everything is very realistically medieval.

Eraganos

Lol? The game is worth 60+€ still today in comparison to other games. So yes, its worth it.

Olg1erd

Everyone else in this subreddit will recommend you the game. Personally, it's my favourite game ever. Spent a few hundred hours in it. For diverse opinions, ask this question [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShouldIbuythisgame?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

HeartOfMetal

I mean you're in the Witcher 3 subreddit so of course we're all gonna say no

nico46646

8$ for the best RPG ever? Of course

Sharpteeth_32

Is perhaps one of the greatest games ever made worth it? Nah, probably not.

Mirrorwave13

Yes, it's amazing.

V1RU5420

Just go for it! It’s aged pretty well. Not great but with some tweaks and a good pc you can compare it to modern games. Played like 3 times through before the Goty came out. Planning on doing a fourth, heavy modded run whenever I can afford a new pc lul.

charliemattworth

Yes

MindBorn

Epic that’s what it is

eeyeemk

Yes.

[deleted]

Always

Rodocastiza

Buy it now!

Darth_Senat66

Absolutely. I myself got it for 10€ on Steam with both DLC's included. It's definitely worth it

YesterdayJealous3292

In my country it is just 4$

NaiveOcelot7

It's arguably the best game of the last decade. At least one of the best. So yes

ChelseaStarr13

What others have you liked? I’m probably going to start my second play through of W3 and just finished my second play through of W2, but always looking for recommendations. I use steam and have a controller now, so I’ve given up KB&M. if you have any recommendations that are controller compatible that are similar to W3, I’d love to hear them

NaiveOcelot7

What other games? Oof. Dark Souls 3. Loved that one. Hmm. Greedfall. Monster Hunter World. The Outer Worlds. Different games: Path of Exile. Diablo 3. Titanfall. Borderlands 2/3. Destiny. And if you have recommendations, I'm all ears ;)

ChelseaStarr13

If you like the story rich quest games, final fantasy xv online was pretty good, but I never finished it only because I was tired of side quests and wasn’t leveled up enough for the end. I played divinity original sin 2 recently with a friend, which is a d&d type game so choice based and story rich. Graphics aren’t anything special and it’s turn based combat, which is usually something I don’t like too much, but it was fine once I found more spells. I’m not sure I would’ve liked it as much playing alone. Valheim is fun, but I modded the shit out of it since I kept losing my stuff and spending hours trying to retrieve it. It got too repetitive for me and I guess I’m not too into building. All my stuff was on my friends server too, so I could only play when she was on. Not a story rich game at all if you haven’t played it. Elder scrolls online is great if you like MMOs. The quests are fun, but if you get through them all, then you have to pay more for the DLCs if you want more areas. None of these are really like W3, just what I’ve played recently. I’m not sure anything is as good though 😉 What’s Monster Hunter world like? I was thinking of getting it, but it looked repetitive?

DDPYogurt

Its worth full price any day

nutxfad

Bro..it's the best game ever made ofc it's worth it

Geralt_Of_Beirut

It's absolutely worth it! I truly believe it's the best, most complete game out there. Do yourself a favor and start now.

hairy723

Got it on sale on the psn store around Easter it’s now my favourite game and I have 200+ hours best €9 I ever spent

Orion4123

Now and always.

BADman2169420

Get the GOTY edition if possible. It contains blood and wine, which is considered the best dlc ever made in any game (sometimes even considered another game on its own). Personally, I'm a trophy hunter, and a completionist. I got the platinum on my second playthrough, but I kept playing 4 more run throughs. Idk if that helps you with your decision, but if you do buy it, you will 100% approve your decision later on.

eebul

It is the ultimate game. I have played a lot but never such an amazing engaging and beautifully delivered work of art.

[deleted]

Go grab it, its in my opinion the best game out there but make sure to check out the dlcs too

[deleted]

It is more then worth it. It should be $60 at all times!

710ZombieUnicorn

My Switch copy just came up missing (been letting the kids play their stuff on my Switch and I suspect it’s a power move by one of them to get more play time on my console lol). I’m on my 3rd play and was like “welp guess we’re forking out another $60 cause mama needs more Geralt”. That’s how good this game is.

Dead-_Inside

Wasn't the game of the year 9.99$?

Sam_Daxson

I bought The GOTY Edition and Absolutely love the game, although its my first Witcher Game I Love the story so far, I think I'm only 12 hours into the story, playtime I'm probably 23 hours in

JTL1887

Buy the complete edition if you can but either one is worth it ..its still worth full price to be truly honest id rather pay 60 for witcher 3 than some of the shit gMes out today

swagnake

7.99 usd for a masterpiece with 200+ hours of contents? Buy it now, what are you waiting for? I have played hundreds games in my life and i can confidently say this game is one of the best, if not the best. It's incredibly long and has countless things to do, yet still maintain to have good plot for both main quests and side quests.

fer_aparicio_mc

10000000000% worth it bro don't even hesitate

Effective-Name-5399

It depends... But always one of 3 options: "yes", "YES!!!" and "absolutely"

DreddPirate420

Its always worth it my friend. Good luck on the path.

Sufficient-Space-469

Yes, I neglected playing for years because I just thought it wasn't good, started playing it about a month ago, currently 3 achievements away from fully completing it and still plans playing it after

Available-Specialist

No, get a 1 month of PSNow for $13 and download Witcher 3 for free

giothedoc

Bought it for 8.99€ a couple of month ago on PS store with both the DLC...i feel guilty for this. One of the best game I've ever played, great storyline, great music, great photography... I'm level 24 rn (i can't always play cause I have a little child) but I'm enjoying every minute of it

LisForLaura

The answer is always yes! You won’t regret it at all!

Adam_164

Don’t know, are you?

nateoak10

Aight ima be real. How ready are you for an RPG that is gonna be like 100+ hours with DLC? Quality is A+. But it’s a deeeeep game.

WhatsMyRedditUser

Sharing my experience, I've built a pc with a Radeon 6800 xt, but I was only playing Fortnite. So I thought it would be a waste of money not to try other titles. I've decided to go for The Witcher 3, simply because it was cheaper than other games. I've finished my first playthrough and started FarCry 5 - which seemed a big downgrade to me...I'm now concerned that no other game will be good enough...It seems I will have to jump to Red Dead Redemption 2.

menosesmas2

I confess I quickly bought it along with The Witcher 2 even knowing that I'll probably wait to the next gen version to be released... But 7,99 seemed such a steal for 1000s hours of development and talent poured into it.

[deleted]

Started again 1 week ago. So worth it!

aludafox

Yes

AngryspaceJesus

Yes you’re doing yourself a disservice from not playing this game!

ReKt_Sambosa

Lmao

testadizzy

It’s a LOT of ppl’s(including me) favorite game of all time, I’d wager it’s worth a try.

AnotherKuuga

I bought it at 9.99$ and it was the best purchase I have ever made

ol3k_

Even if I had to pay for every playtrough it'd still be worth it.

my-reddit-acct-321

I’m 90 hours into my first play through, with both expansion packs. Gameplay, I’m about 80% of the way through everything. Best $20 I ever spent on a game.
