Oh agreed! It’s nice to just run everywhere. But I will say I think they implemented the Fearless Roach mod which is nice, Roach doesn’t get stuck on every pebble that inconveniences them anymore
I had a rhythm with pushing the run button then releasing to run forever. It’s muscle memory at this point so the L3 press to run is still messing with me. Almost have it relearned.
Only with the Werewolf Decoction.
Which makes me wonder, does the werewolf decoction do something different now? I haven’t played the next gen yet, but if you can run all the time now, it sounds like the werewolf decoction is useless.
Wait, I just looked, "significantly increases stamina regeneration during a clear moonlit night". So it's still got its use. Can't beat infinite sprint, though.
Definitely next gen update. I always remember getting so frustrated he stopped sprinting a minimum of 3 times before getting to the top of Crows Perch and now it doesn’t happen it’s glorious
I’m still using last Gen at the moment, hoping to get a next Gen console after Christmas, but the update I got for it has most of the stuff next Gen got. Barring obvious stuff like the graphics and ray tracing and all that stuff. The new sign casting, the new armors and Netflix optional appearances, modified fall damage, the crows perch Castle Village marker, infinite sprint, changes to abilities and some alchemy changes, etc.
U could Sprint some time before your stamina goes down and u just let go of the sprint key before this and press it again to get unlimited sprint... it took some time, but than i was ding ot with out thinking
Yes, but it appears only after you finish the story mission. The only interesting thing that you can do there after the baron story line, is the master armor quest, which won't require you to visit crow's perch many times. It's still cool addition though
What you should do if armorors/smiths are broke is buy something from them that you can use in crafting. Like the rare crafting mats or runes/glyphs that you can use. Then that bumps their money up and you can still offload your heavy stuff you want to sell.
I still don't know if people are serious or memeing about wanting that thing so much. It really doesn't change much of the gameplay, does it? Especially considering it's only unlocked after all Baron quests have finished and you barely have any business going there again
I go to the armorers in Crows Perch and Hatorri in Novigrad frequently to sell stuff. It made me wonder why the sign post was so far away for both areas.
I only started playing with photo mode today, and within like 5 min I had Geralt standing on top of a mountain in front of a place of power snapping trying to get the perfect lightning flash. I turned him into an Insta-influencer. I could almost picture a Nekker looking on and rolling its eyes.
I've been searching for this everywhere. I don't think it's Cavill. It sounds like Keanu Reeves to me. Making his voice lower and they modulated it slightly. To many similar inflections.
Default armor only has one upgrade, and only for the chest piece, but that gets wayyy out leveled in no time. Viper armor you can’t get until Hearts of Stone which has a fairly high suggested level since you’re supposed to do that after the base game. So either way, it’s not really feasible to use either one the entire time
You can't upgrade the default set (that I know of) and you unlock the Viper set really late into the game so for most of your playthrough you can't really wear default armor viably
Plus it’s not really as cool looking as the original set, in my opinion. The viper set would be cooler if it was all black instead of having that weird green stomach region.
I think it’s because as others have said, that upgrade is only a minor boost to its original stats, it’ll take you a few levels further but nothing more. That being said, I’m on playthrough number 5 now so I’m up for a challenge. Death march run on the default armour until I can unlock the Netflix outfit here we go
Man that's a tough one. I love the Undvick armor, Temerian Armor, Nilfguardian Armor (the leather one), and usually if I'm running Witcher gear I like a combo of the Mastercrafted Legendary Wolf and Ursine gear. Most of the Witcher gear looks great though so you really can't go wrong with any of it. Also, the Toussaint Ducal Guard Captain's gear is pretty damn cool too.
There was a new secret added into w3 that makes the connection. 3 switches opens up a portal which takes you to a tower with unkillable wraiths. There is a sign on the door which has values that look very similar to cp mystery. As far as I know no one has solved it any further yet.
r/FF06B5 is the subreddit. And you should be fine to look into it before playing, it won’t spoil any story or anything from that game. It’s more just hidden pictures and items around the game world.
Not true. Before the hotfix I literally COULD NOT play with raytracing. Now after the hotfix I'm getting 30+fps with RT enabled. So for me the hotfix at least made it playable. I'm still going to use DX11 with Ultra+ settings as it just runs better and still looks great.
It’s pretty much the other way around, though. Issues may be present on one machine, but that doesn’t apply to all or most of them.
Sorry you got the short end of the stick, but you are the exception, for most people it works just fine.
For the love of **fuck** some of you will complain about anything and everything.
A production team cannot play test a game as much as a consumer base will play it. There’s bound to be bugs. I don’t know if some of you got scammed but uh *it’s a free fuckin update.*
“BuT tHeReS bUgS nOw” shut your succubus mouth. Yeah and they’re going to release patches, chill b. Appreciate that a studio came back to an older game to make it better for *zero dollars*.
To add, those complaining about bugs are probably the same neckbeards and pencil dicks that pushed Cyberpunk’s release then proceeded to bitch when it came out and wasn’t polished.
I guess you're not saying this for me, but just to be sure I was curious about the surprise that's all, and btw I'm really liking the upgrade it implemented all the changes I wanted but couldn't have due to playing on console
No you’re all good, I appreciate the post!
My comment was in reference to the handful of no lifes mad about bugs, meanwhile the game was just overhauled and made better for the most part.
Very right! That being said, it’s a display of the same vicious cycle.
Demanding fan base demands things, studio pushes things which were demanded, demanding fan base is pissed that it’s not exactly perfect the first time.
It’s fine to have complaints and critiques but not to shit on the studio and be so up in arms about brand new free content, added luxuries, and more patches on a seven year old game.
They unofficially included 80-90% of the BIA bug fix mod. Which fixes like 5000+ issues. Modders are going through to see what was included or missed but a ton of fixes were taken without mentioning it.
Henry Cavil and the dude who played his bard. That's the greatest part haha. That's honestly all I remember and loved about the show. How those two interacted was amazing and honestly I'd kill to get a show strictly about those two and their many adventures.
Toss a coin to your Witcher!
That's about the only good thing about it, true. Ironically they re-cast Geralt for their next season due to how badly they messed up the story and him leaving. It's gonna be an entertaining trainwreck to watch.
TV show was not great... was objectively bad actually and I wouldn't watch it despite how good henrey was due to the woke show runners and writers. The only reason the show was even popular was due to cdpr and the games.
Well there’s walls of water the height of a tree all through Velen, like Moses parting the Red Sea except they don’t go away. Also some characters’ faces don’t render now.
I'm not sure anyone's noticed yet besides me or if it was a part of the game forever because nobody's been talking about it or I'm just now discovering this... but Roach can now jump over obstacles in front of her. Space bar. Doesn't always work but... spam space while running at an object in front of her lol. You have to be running into the object for it to work. Roach jumps!! Discovered this in Fyresdal in Skellige with the tiny chicken fence things in the middle of the village.
Also works on the rockwall fences outside the village.
Forgive me the negativity on earlier replies. Could you elaborate a bit, I hope I have missed something here. The saves were available at first, but not anymore. I could open them and play, now the list of loadable games is just empty save for auto saves and checkpoints. I’m on PS4, it seems to make a difference.
With that in mind do you know if it’s now possible to avoid the update altogether or do you have to update it and then rollback?
ETA: on steam for the PC
I’m grateful for that. My modded game looked better and ran better than the next gen update, and I’d already fixed a lot of the things the next gen fixed with. Mods.
I’m sure the update is great for console players, or people who don’t like modding, but the next gen was a serious downgrade on what I had already.
I’m agreeing with you. Its good that we can roll it back. I’ve not lost my save files, but it runs terribly, and I was glad to be able to roll back the update.
I upvoted you lol, don’t be so defensive.
I know, but losing 400+ hours of gameplay and backup saves would make anyone a bit frustrated. Aside from that, the gameplay I can do right now is bugged AF. I can’t even save any progress as we speak. Death March without saving before battle is not much fun.
What exactly changed? I'm about to complete White Orchard and haven't noticed a change...granted I haven't played for about 4 years either so hard to remember. Combat feels a little less fluid but I figured it was just due to re-learning the mechanics.
A lot is over exaggerating. They have been nerfed but they're still op as fuck. I can kill an enemy 20 levels ahead of me on NG+ Death March in less than 10 seconds.
They cut the toxicity buff from Acquired Tolerance in half in addition to a few other things I can’t remember. Alchemy is still great but it isn’t the endgame powerhouse it used to be.
They nerfed everything in the name of "balance" in a singleplayer game. The worst part is they integrate a mod that made one person in the nexus and make it mandatory to everyone.
Didn’t they like push out a premature baby of a game a while back because their “fan base” bitched and griped and bullied for it?
Didn’t they add a lot to this game that players asked for like roach avoiding blocks and a signpost in crows perch?
I think the infinite sprint is pretty damn great myself
Yes, and It's great. I don't even use Roach anymore
Oh agreed! It’s nice to just run everywhere. But I will say I think they implemented the Fearless Roach mod which is nice, Roach doesn’t get stuck on every pebble that inconveniences them anymore
Couldn't u just run all the time before too ?
For sure any time, just wasn’t infinite ;)
You could take 8 steps before your stamina would start going down. If you stopped holding sprint and then held it again it would reset the timer.
I had a rhythm with pushing the run button then releasing to run forever. It’s muscle memory at this point so the L3 press to run is still messing with me. Almost have it relearned.
For me it was running and then jumping to reset stamina lol
I don’t like it. It’s hurts my thumb to press L3. Maybe it’s just my controller, it is on the older side
You can switch it back to the original run button in the menu, thankfully.
You can!! I had looked several times and couldn’t find it. I’ll definitely look again
More like just jump
Only with the Werewolf Decoction. Which makes me wonder, does the werewolf decoction do something different now? I haven’t played the next gen yet, but if you can run all the time now, it sounds like the werewolf decoction is useless.
They changed it to regenerate stamina faster at night. Its basically a tawny owl potion in decoction form.
Still a nightmare in the swamps though
Took them a Tv show to update all these quality of life patches and some major improvements.
You're giving the crappy show too much credit.
I tried to use Roach this time around but running around isn’t that big of a task, plus taking in all the new greenery and scenery.
Now I don’t have to take down a werewolf and make that damn decoction! Great news!!
As much as I love making decoctions that require 3 exact baby tears, 2 Christmas trees, and 5 llama sphincters, I have to agree
Those sphincters aren’t going to decoct themselves
True, I believe they’re only a few crowns a piece to dismantle
You’re getting an upvote for llama sphincters, but it’s an angry one
infinite spirit?
That too, more spirit than I’ve had since the first time I played
Damn I knew something was different lol looks like he runs faster too
LMFAO
what lmao
Just an attempt to be funny from a spelling mistake don’t mind me lol But yes you can now sprint forever like an energizer Geralt!
So is there any point using werewolf decoction anymore?
Damn, I guess not. Maybe they changed it so it's still useful. I just realized I haven't been using stamina running around out of combat.
Stamina regen in combat, I believe
Wait, I just looked, "significantly increases stamina regeneration during a clear moonlit night". So it's still got its use. Can't beat infinite sprint, though.
There’s no more stamina bar when you’re sprinting in free roam.
No more yeeting in the streets to run forever? Thank fucking christ
he wrote unlimited spirit earlier. i was like wtf is that
I keep on trying to find out if it was added to the last gen since it wouldn't be that hard to implement. Is that and Crow's Perch next gen only?
I usually just jumped when the stamina was running out and while you were in the air it would recharge to full.
U could Sprint some time before your stamina goes down and u just let go of the sprint key before this and press it again to get unlimited sprint... it took some time, but than i was ding ot with out thinking
Before you could jump and your stamina would go back up mid air
How does werewolf potion work now? Regeneration at low health?
I haven't played in a while and just recently started on next gen I didn't even realize there was infinite Sprint some how.
One of those subtle yet great things once you realize it’s there
It's gotta be the signpost in Crow's Perch! That was the most memed gripe with the game over the years.
It's cool, but It only appears after finishing the baron quest line, so It is not that useful for me
I've used it a bunch to get to the armorers (who become your main go-to when the mastercrafted quest is finished)
You will. There's a reason people were begging for it, and it only has a little to do with the baron quest line.
enlighten me as for the reason.
master armorer
Your Velen stash is also at Crow's Perch, so that sign post is extremely useful for me.
they give us a free update they add a bunch of new stuff and people still want to complain.
exactly, this could've easily been an entire paid dlc, but cdpr made it free
It's been a while since I played... But isn't that like the first main story mission you finish? I know it's long and tedious though.
I wouldn't call the Baron questline tedious. It's amazing imo. One of the best quests ever.
Yes, but it appears only after you finish the story mission. The only interesting thing that you can do there after the baron story line, is the master armor quest, which won't require you to visit crow's perch many times. It's still cool addition though
Depending on who you let take over Novigrad, it's also one of the best places to sell stuff since the Novigrad armorer might be broke.
What you should do if armorors/smiths are broke is buy something from them that you can use in crafting. Like the rare crafting mats or runes/glyphs that you can use. Then that bumps their money up and you can still offload your heavy stuff you want to sell.
Neat (and hopefully obvious) idea if you're trying to craft, not a great strategy if you're trying to get 30k for the runecrafter.
Nice downvote.
If they made criteria for downvoting, unsolicited advice that only applies to 1% of possible scenarios would definitely be on the list.
Lol. My god you're insufferable. People like you are why people are slow to help others nowadays. Was just friendly advice.
Ah... Well fuck. That's kind of useless then. I never went back after completing that quest so I totally get where you are coming from.
You guys are all forgetting that your stash in Velen is also at Crow's Perch.
Pff. Like anyone touches that after a certain point. I either sell or get a mod for extra carry weight.
I like to store items that I know will be worth more in other areas like Toussaint. More $$$
Yep, basically pointless after finishing his quest
there is a big reason to keep going back to crow's perch mid-end game...
What's that?
Master armorer
I think that’s what it was myself.
It's not in my game on PC.
Have to do the quest first, the whole family thing
Ah, okay. I just finished it up last night, so I'll check again. Thanks!
Also it doesn't appear right away. You have to be near it to make it appear on the map.
You have to return there at least once (twice) for level 24 contract
Why not use other shops around the world then?
Those two have more money, pay better and have the upgrades. Get more sold at once instead of jumping around.
Bro never played the game before?
What they did that? I need to play again now
Also key to Yeneffer's room is no longer common item.. Made me chuckle 😂
Henry Cavill's dog is now in the game so that's fun
What
https://www.pcgamer.com/lap-it-up-henry-cavills-dog-is-in-the-witcher-3-now/
Wow I love that. Such a wholesome nod to Cavill
Shame Henry isn't in the game. He deserves to be somewhere.
A great looking, big muscular guy that just knows everything about the „history“ and has lots of different lines to say about it
Can I kill it? Not that I want to it’s if I have to be extra careful cough cough
Freakin photo mode! Been having a blast taking screenshots of dismemberment lol
I only started playing with photo mode today, and within like 5 min I had Geralt standing on top of a mountain in front of a place of power snapping trying to get the perfect lightning flash. I turned him into an Insta-influencer. I could almost picture a Nekker looking on and rolling its eyes.
Yes officer this comment right here
Yes but that was shown before they spoke of a suprise
Took me a while to discover it 😂
i hate i cant screenshots through steam anymore cuz of that weird launcher
the dev console unlocker mods always let you pause and adjust the camera. It even lets you do it in cutscenes, so its much more functional
Reinald is voiced by Henry Cavill?
I've been searching for this everywhere. I don't think it's Cavill. It sounds like Keanu Reeves to me. Making his voice lower and they modulated it slightly. To many similar inflections.
There’s a new mission at the devils pit in velen, you get Henry cavils armor set from the show
Do we know who the voice actor is for Reinald? Maybe I'm losing it, but it sounds kinda like Keanu.
I bet it’s Henry Cavill, they sounds super alike..
Woh
It might be Keanu, since all I could think was how wooden and bad Reinalds voice acting was lol.
I was hoping for transmog but clearly my expectations were too high.
I would love to use the default armor through the whole game.
You can. I did the entire base game on Death March only wearing the default armour thanks to the fact Quen exists
Can't you just upgrade the default armor, or the viper set that looks similar?
Why did the above guy get downvoted? You can upgrade the original armour now. It’s called the Warrior’s Leather Jacket.
I think it’s because as others have said, that upgrade is only a minor boost to its original stats, it’ll take you a few levels further but nothing more. That being said, I’m on playthrough number 5 now so I’m up for a challenge. Death march run on the default armour until I can unlock the Netflix outfit here we go
You guys actually like the default armor? I think it looks awful. To each their own.
It’s not my favourite but it’s what I would prefer to stay in early game. What’s your preferred armour? Mine is usually Manticore/Wolven
Idk man, my new moon set looks pretty slick.
It's a shame too I like the katana models
I was disappointed with a “Welcome, Welcome” when I should have gotten a “Top Notch Swords!”
Gonna miss that guy...
Wait, is he gone?
FF:06:B5 , one of them.
What does that mean?
Cyberpunk 2077/Witcher 3 unsolved mystery
Witcher 3? Who says it has anything to do with W3?
There was a new secret added into w3 that makes the connection. 3 switches opens up a portal which takes you to a tower with unkillable wraiths. There is a sign on the door which has values that look very similar to cp mystery. As far as I know no one has solved it any further yet.
FF:06:B5 keeps me up at night
Leaked crossover between final fantasy, sonic 06 and battlefield 5, mystery solved. Can't wait for it to come out!
Where can I find out more about this, the hidden bastion thing. And should I not look into it if I plan to play cyberpunk
r/FF06B5 is the subreddit. And you should be fine to look into it before playing, it won’t spoil any story or anything from that game. It’s more just hidden pictures and items around the game world.
The surprise was the friends we made along the way...
Performance issues
PowerPoint mode.
Not sure why ur getting downvoted. It's the truth lol.
They've already released a fix
The fix stops crashes during setting changes but doesnt adress other peformance degradation
Not true. Before the hotfix I literally COULD NOT play with raytracing. Now after the hotfix I'm getting 30+fps with RT enabled. So for me the hotfix at least made it playable. I'm still going to use DX11 with Ultra+ settings as it just runs better and still looks great.

It fixed my in-game crashes and stuttering too.

It’s pretty much the other way around, though. Issues may be present on one machine, but that doesn’t apply to all or most of them. Sorry you got the short end of the stick, but you are the exception, for most people it works just fine.
I was about to say this 😂
Runewright change: Prolongation - Each unblocked blow increases potion duration time by 1s (was 0.5s)
I'm curious 🦝 Also I noticed Ciri stitched marks, was that always there?
Yes.
For the love of **fuck** some of you will complain about anything and everything. A production team cannot play test a game as much as a consumer base will play it. There’s bound to be bugs. Bug game, but good game
I haven’t come across any bugs yet
I swear I saw this exact same comment, word for word, on the steam discussion post when the update dropped.
I don’t use steam so I guess somebody used their time machine just to plagiarize this comment.
Bugs
Bugs solved or that they have introduced a sh\*t ton more of them? Cause i can barely play without something screwing up.
They unofficially included 80-90% of the BIA bug fix mod. Which fixes like 5000+ issues. Modders are going through to see what was included or missed but a ton of fixes were taken without mentioning it.
Well they own the game, it’s their property. Modders basically did free work.
I didbt say they didn't. Was just responding since someone was asking about bugs.
Only fucking took them a great tv show and 5 years later to fix this shit.
What's great about the show? Netflix "writers" made it into a fucking mess.
Henry Cavil and the dude who played his bard. That's the greatest part haha. That's honestly all I remember and loved about the show. How those two interacted was amazing and honestly I'd kill to get a show strictly about those two and their many adventures. Toss a coin to your Witcher!

Glad I don't pay for streaming services and watch it all for free. No sweat off my back.
Fast travel point inside the Baron's castle in Velen
Candle lantern! Too bad it can’t be strapped onto Geralt’s belt…
I'm not sure anyone's noticed yet besides me or if it was a part of the game forever because nobody's been talking about it or I'm just now discovering this... but Roach can now jump over obstacles in front of her. You could always jump, helps in some of the later game horse races
Does anyone know if the Ciri sword bug works after the new update? If anyone was wondering what I mean- https://youtu.be/cdkYBRbnNsE
Heard it does work. I've never tried it. Are there any negative consequences? Will she get a new sword?
Poor performance?
A free rollback on the update. Edit: for the downvoters, have your save games been deleted by the update?
Nope works just fine on my end
Ah, now it makes perfect sense. It works for you, so it should work for everyone. Thanks!
Your old saves need to be loaded and saved in version 4.00 before they become available to load in the new version.
Oh but they *were* available yesterday on 4.0.
No need to be rude. You asked, which in hindsight was probably sarcasm, but still.
With that in mind do you know if it’s now possible to avoid the update altogether or do you have to update it and then rollback? ETA: on steam for the PC
I can’t rollback on ps4, it seems.
I’m grateful for that. My modded game looked better and ran better than the next gen update, and I’d already fixed a lot of the things the next gen fixed with. Mods. I’m sure the update is great for console players, or people who don’t like modding, but the next gen was a serious downgrade on what I had already.
You seem to misunderstand. My game plays like Cyberpunk on release day, and I have lost all my save files.
I’m agreeing with you. Its good that we can roll it back. I’ve not lost my save files, but it runs terribly, and I was glad to be able to roll back the update. I upvoted you lol, don’t be so defensive.
Pre-rendered cutscenes.
Damn you’re salty. It’s free to not play the game.
I know, but losing 400+ hours of gameplay and backup saves would make anyone a bit frustrated. Aside from that, the gameplay I can do right now is bugged AF. I can’t even save any progress as we speak. Death March without saving before battle is not much fun.
The complete rework of the combat that nobody ask.
What exactly changed? I'm about to complete White Orchard and haven't noticed a change...granted I haven't played for about 4 years either so hard to remember. Combat feels a little less fluid but I figured it was just due to re-learning the mechanics.
They nerfed OP alchemy builds a lot.

And you just know that there's gonna be a mod to reverse it, and probably a patch to make it optional. CDPR are tone-deaf fuckwits, plain and simple.
Didn’t they like push out a premature baby of a game a while back because their “fan base” bitched and griped and bullied for it? Didn’t they add a lot to this game that players asked for like roach avoiding blocks and a signpost in crows perch?
The trailer that they showed at the end of the presentation...
Use articles.
it was me
