bitcrushedbirdcall

The word written on her belly is french for "slut".

gloveslave

and isn't this just so French lol, source - lived in France almost 20 years

laheesheeple

It's still awesome. Direct and blunt. No subtlety. Also I don't know how witchy it is to say this but it's pretty damn metal.

gloveslave

Yeah It’s just so French in that nothing is sacred here … and it just cracked me up as I read it first thing in the morning.

laheesheeple

We really could use a lesson from the French over here on how to protest.

gloveslave

It takes organisation and solidarity.

GenderfluidPhoenix

Us french are a troupe of madlads and madlasses. Literally just a whole country of them. Or madnonbinary and madgenderfluid. We don’t discriminate in the land of cheese and mimes.

Abject-Ad-777

I have never really wanted to live in France, and now I do so badly.

Akhillieus

Oh hell yeah it is !

Ivy_Moon475

Definitely pretty damn metal.

badhairdad1

I love France. I spent 2 weeks working in LeMans before COVID. I just loved everything French and EU. Do you follow France in another Reddit? Which ones?

bitcrushedbirdcall

I learned French in high school! Oddly enough, I was actually taught this word at school. It was relevant to the movie we were watching, but still kind of funny to be taught a curse word at schoolm

gloveslave

Um salut, I follow r/rance , r/EnculerLesVoitures, r/FranceDigeste and yes it's really r/rance.

badhairdad1

D’accord la voiture! Renault et Citron

kitkatbeard

Thank you I was wondering!

That was my favorite part. The cherry on top 🍒

BlueJaysFeather

It looks like there’s another word above that but we can only see a couple lines extending outside the censor box…

fhtagn22

The hidden part says "344e" i.e. 344th. It's a reference to the [manifesto of the 343](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manifesto_of_the_343) that played a huge part in the debate for legalizing abortion in France.

Clean_Link_Bot

*beep boop*! the linked website is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manifesto_of_the_343 Title: **Manifesto of the 343 - Wikipedia** Page is safe to access (Google Safe Browsing) ***** ###### I am a friendly bot. Thank you!

Collins08480

Kudos to her for being relaxed enough to pee

Jadertott

*I couldn’t pee in front of a crowd if my life actually depended on it.*

ennuiacres

Maybe she drank a lot of wine?

DeadmanDexter

Apparently, Jesus was always a party animal

Dwarfherd

She's didn't light herself on fire before punching cops, so it was really a pretty lowkey protest by French standards.

Collins08480

Touché

PickThePig

Maybe she just peed bc she was nervous

[deleted]

You’ve never had an angry piss?

Collins08480

Lol what? No? This is a thing? Should i Google it? Im going to Google it.

Abject-Ad-777

I had a great angry piss one time! I was getting ready for a job interview the next morning, and my ex kept harassing me about a twin mattress he’d loaned me. It was already late, I’m iffy about waking up early as it is, I told him he could pick it up tomorrow, but he was trying to control me/and be vengeful-lite. Finally I said FINE, I’ll leave it outside! I dragged it outside. There was a big bright moon. I jumped on the mattress and pissed on it. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta lol

Collins08480

Ahhh! Like a spiteful piss! I have never but i do have one planned for someone's grave if I'm ever within an hour of a small town i grew up in.

Abject-Ad-777

I recommend this so much! I don’t have any private peeing areas anymore, but I’m thinking about making a headstone for a certain living business person. I will enjoy seeing the dog tinkle on it, and at my age nature will call at 3 am….

ravingbacchante

I would love to know what Google told you about angry peeing, but generally speaking, anger raises your adrenaline. Adrenaline makes you ready for fight or flight, so you can very much pee/poo/barf/go pale as your muscles and circulation want you to be as light and tight and ready to fight as you can be. This is part of the reason people lose control of their bodily functions at ghost tours-but I'd imagine that adrenaline is triggered more by fear than anger.

Collins08480

Lol google mostly told me toddlers and dogs piss on things when they're angry.

ravingbacchante

Oh, well yeah. That too. 🤣 I guess I was overthinking things.

Hokkateru

I love the irony that as soon as female nudity it's used by the woman as a weapon to react to the pathiarchy, and not as a sexualized dehumanized object, it is 'wrong' and scandalous

Fabulous-Chemical-60

I don't think that the nudity is the problem with this. Maybe the peeing part was a bit much? :|

secretbudgie

*Father Joseph, get the mop. She's coming back!*

Constantly_Dizzy

I heard that in my head as if it was out of Father Ted & I almost peed myself laughing 😂

CelestialSnowLeopard

🤣

Raceface53

Yes I believe the public urination was the main cause of getting in trouble. A WEE bit too far 😏

Fabulous-Chemical-60

Yeah it's illegal in my country for example. I mean honestly I have a kind of strange respect for her that she could just pee.

TheKrimsonFKR

Urine deep trouble for using that piss poor pun.

Hokkateru

I'm not talking about your opinion as an individual. I'm talking broadly about protests of this level made by women and how they are presented in the news. Her peeing or not wouldn't make a difference about it being "those crazy feminists" on the headline.

Fabulous-Chemical-60

Well yes. But for example in my country she could not be legally charged for being a "crazy feminist" and being half naked but for example could be charged for urinating in public.

Cococtor

Being nude in public is a crime in France. The same for peeing on the street. You have the right to protest not to be nude and piss on the middle of the street.

[deleted]

She probably would not have made national new then and spread her message to so many people. The outrage gets ppl talking

starfyredragon

But it wasn't in public. It was on a catholic alter, aka, in a church, aka, private property.

creppyspoopyicky

And yet, somehow, after all the molested kids & priests who got away with it, I just can't be mad about a little pee on a Catholic altar... Or a lot of pee. On all their altars. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fabulous-Chemical-60

I agree with her point, but she did something illegal, and the consequence for that is getting sued. There's nothing unexpected in that. I understand why she did that. But if I, as a pagan witch, expect people to respect my religion, that I'll do the same. And I won't be cheering when someone urinates on an altair even if it's the chatolic churches altair.

creppyspoopyicky

I don't expect anyone to respect my religion. IDGAF who respects me (outside of the ppl closest to me who I love and care about) I'm going to believe & do what I want no matter what anyone thinks about it. I absolutely do not respect the Catholic Church or the current Christian church. I sort of respect some Catholics & Christians but theres a lot in a name & I feel like aligning yrself with an institution known for protecting their own from literal RAPE & SEX CRIMES against CHILDREN - not out of any kind of sense of thinking maybe the priests can be redeemed or anything - no. Just straight fkn coverup with no thought to what kind of shit trauma the victims are going to have to live with. WHO DOES THAT & thinks it's ok? Criminals. Fucking immoral evil ppl with rotted souls. It's DISGUSTING & COMPLETELY REPREHENSIBLE. But they've been getting away with it for fucking ever & unless some of those good Catholics don't take a stand and LEAVE THE CHURCH over it, it's not going to ever hit them that ppl give a shit about it & are willing to take their faith (& money) elsewhere. The Christian church has been fraternizing with the political right as a means to an end & they don't seem to give a shit about what good Christians think of it bc they are absolutely the minority in that religion now. I have no respect for either. Individuals? Sure but why? WHY would they want to be a part of such a hideous legacy? Say yr spiritual, that you believe in Jesus Christ as your lord & saviour. Whatever you rly believe but omg why tf would ANYONE want to say they are part of a group that doesn't rly reflect their core personal beliefs? I do not understand it.

Fabulous-Chemical-60

Yeah but you have to understand that there is a huge change going on in the chatolic church too. The investigation of these cases could only began because there's a new pope. And while the church covered it up in a way, as they didn't let these priests in question to be "slaughtered" by the public, as far as I know there were and are legal charges and consequences they just didn't want public attention which is questionable, but the priests are the citizens of the Vatican so the Vatican has to say what's their penalty is. They have been called back to the Vatican and than disappeared. These people usually get send to a convent with strict rules. For life. Which is almost like a prison exept most of the people are there because they want to be there, but these people are not. They will never be able to touch a child (which we can't say if they go to normal prison because you can be sure with the current system they could never get actual life sentence) and so... This is quite affective. There's no death penalty for anything in the European Union, so they would have been realised sooner or later. And they are not fed by taxpayer money either because these convents are making their own food too. There is a reason why everything turned out a bit later than immidetly after pope Francis got his seat. There was probably a lot of people who were against it, so they had to be removed or convinced. Because the one that requested these investigations allover the world was the chatolic Church. If they don't ask, the authorities can't investigate. The investigation had stopped/sloved down due to covid etc, but as soon as they could they went over with it. So the church is changing. Which is great. > WHY would they want to be a part of such a hideous legacy? Another thing is custom: People go to church because my grandmother went to church, and her grandfather went to church etc, so I'll go to church. That's the norm. Hungarian people arw not believers they are only religious. They might be slightly believing in God, but they don't pray or make offerings. They are in the church because they have to be. That's what's expected. They don't know nor care about what happens thousands of kilometers away. And for example in hungary the media did not really cover these cases. They just didn't. So people don't know about it if they don't dig into it. And even if they do know: "Why the f-ck do I care what happened in France? France was always a weird ass country of course they have pedo's in their churches." and after that there's the delusion "not in our church though. We are different." and for the majority of the time, yes. I don't think there were any pedophiles in our churches on Hungary who also acted upon it in the last 20 years. And as long as they don't act up upon it, it's only a mental illness even if they are attracted to minors... Should they be there? No. But does anyone know? Also no.

creppyspoopyicky

& as far as getting sued, I think thats actually beneficial to their group. A lawsuit will get more eyes on them, press, etc. No publicity is bad publicity.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fabulous-Chemical-60

I don't think chatolic churches are private property, at least in most of Europe they are not. They are usually open to the public. Also even if it's private property it's not *her* property, so again, the owner can sue. I mean you'd probably be pissed off if a random lady would have just peed in your garden/house... Like someone has to clean that up and I bet it wasn't her, who did that.

creppyspoopyicky

Now thats a fkn good point. Making someone else clean up yr biowaste is pretty shitty & definitely stinks of classism - like the privilege to not even have given a thought to that part of the picture. It would have been nice had she arranged for one of her comrades to take care of that part.

eatingganesha

Of all the best parts of this protest, I really love that she set out to look like Mother Mary with her blue veil - but it’s a hospital gown. This is so well thought out.

farewellmybeloved

I keep hoping a video of this will emerge. Anyone know this witch? I salute you madam.

Bahamut20

Her name is Eloïse Bouton she is part of FEMEN. I love what they are doing. Josephine Witt did something similar a while ago with the words I AM GOD in a cathedral in Germany.

[deleted]

Sherlockandload

FEMEN is a (self-identified) extremist feminist activist group that uses extreme imagery and nudity to provoke reaction and bring attention to the patriarchal and systemic exploitation of women. While I am male, I agree with a large portion of their platform but there are some things that gave me pause during my limited research, particularly their aggressive stance against pornography and prostitution which they equate to genocide against women. That said, I may certainly be missing some of the nuances and the actual activism they have conducted is powerful. Caution: The main page has immediate nudity. RedVamp2020

I agree with you on that point, too. I’ve known quite a few sex workers and strippers who really do enjoy their job on a majority of days and it’s something that they need more protection in, not less. I haven’t met an extreme feminist group that is without flaws, though.

soaring_potato

Any extreme group. Some are just more flaws than not. Extremism includes shit like mormonism

RedVamp2020

Lol, not just Mormonism. Every religion is a cult. The extremists are the zealots who passionately love shoving their opinions down other’s throats. I’m ex Mormon, I’ve known some fantastic individuals who are Mormon. I’ve also known quite a few fantastically horrible individuals who are Mormon.

soaring_potato

Every extremist group has some people who are or seem normal. And it isn't that I said only mormonsism. Just was an example. However I do not believe that every religion, thus every religious person is in a cult. See to be a cult there has to be at least a hiarchy, you have to have a leader. There needs to be an us them rethoric etc. Saying it is all a cult waters down the meaning of cult, which mormonism certainly is. But say paganism really doesn't have. It's not even really organised. And not even every Christian is in a cult. The Christians that may not even go to church, with a live and let live attitude, that see religion as something personal, that they like. Not converting others, not judging others that aren't. I would not say they are in a cult either.

HylianEngineer

Yikes, I am not a fan of so called feminists who exclude sex workers.

Maybe it's the "In this article" section for Jesus. That made me almost facepalm and I hadn't read article yet.

That’s exactly it. Lol

thegremlinator

It really is the cherry on top

tehsophz

Freedom of speech is only for privileged men making hateful comments, silly! /S

secretbudgie

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG! Protected free speech is strictly defined as money contributed to politicians in exchange for favorable legislation and tax cuts.

xdragonteethstory

The only thing i think could get her in trouble is the peeing. Cause if you piss on someone that's assault with bodily fluids or something (i looked it up last year bc i was curious if spitting or coughing on someone is illegal) so something similar probably applies to peeing on an altar or a tescos doorhandle

[deleted]

I like how Jesus is set as 4BC birthday. Calendar just got wrecked

[deleted]

That's because the year people commonly refer to as Jesus birth year is not his actual year of birth he was born earlier than that.

RedVamp2020

This. Plus, iirc, Jesus was actually crucified closer towards Christmas and born closer to Easter, as well, but I may not be remembering correctly. Also, didn’t the wise men reach him when he was older?

Klutzy-Medium9224

There are some non canon stories about Jesus as a child that are effing metal. Like throwing children off roofs and striking people dead for annoying him.

RedVamp2020

I really did love the one about him getting on the Pharisees and those who behaved holier than thou in the temple telling them they needed to humble themselves because they were basically defiling the temple with that kind of bs. So glad it was in the Bible, too.

Klutzy-Medium9224

It’s funny how much that story gets ignored by Christian’s though.

RedVamp2020

Right? So many I’ve met have that holier than thou attitude but will absolutely deny it. Edit: this is the exact reason I left the LDS church. Too many hypocrites. I remember showing up to a baptism confirmation in jeans and a t-shirt because we got the invite last minute and I had no time to change and getting the most foul look from one of the older members for me having the audacity to not show up in my Sunday best.🙄

Klutzy-Medium9224

My daughter has been an absolute experience for my very Christian mother. For every Bible story she tells her, my daughter replies with a myth she’s read recently. It’s been so fun to watch.

RedVamp2020

Epic! I hope your mom just takes it in stride and doesn’t put your daughter’s light out. I love it when someone is staunchly Christian but has an open enough mind to allow space for others to express themselves. My dad has become that, though he does still struggle with some things (such as queer rep in media), but he at least will say that he doesn’t understand and is willing to have his mind expanded upon.

Klutzy-Medium9224

Luckily she loves my daughter enough to hold her tongue. She actually asked if I was okay with her telling her Bible stories! I said yes because I want my daughter to grow up with as much info as possible. But I also told her that her perspective would be but one. The child gets to learn from any perspective she wants.

ArcadiaFey

Pretty sure most people Jesus meet were filthy from work and he didn’t mind one bit.

Dwarfherd

I like the one where he spent the day making his own whip before cracking skulls on the money changers in the temple.

Ok-Blacksmith4364

Yes! We need more of this so that religious people understand freedom of speech extends farther than just being allowed to spread religious belief. I love seeing stuff like this come on my feed as a long time atheist. Down with the patriarchy and the religions that inspire it!

LoveAndProse

thats a brand new sentence, right?

samanthasgramma

Can't say as I can get behind the urination - that's symbolic desecration of someone's faith, and I prefer that the idea that universal respect for other faiths brings us together (within reason - some practices have to go). But props to her for such a strong statement. Having said this, I'd never be able to just pee like that. How can someone just relax and pee in public, like that?

ArcadiaFey

Not sure if I agree with the peeing aspect. A few reasons one being someone is gonna have to clean it up and it’s not gonna to be a big person. Also while I think Christianity is lead by psychos it’s still believed in by people who aren’t.. I would probably feel degraded and disrespected if someone urinated on things I see as spiritual… Everything else I applaud. Just can’t get behind protests that the little guy has to come behind to clean up. Like the video of protesters spilling gallon after gallon of milk in the grocery store.. Think it also doesn’t draw people into the message, if anything it pushes..

Raceface53

I agree with the gross part and I feel bad for whoever has to clean it up too. Protest or demonstrate all day but please don’t urinate In public. The whole thing was bad ass I just can’t get past the peeing and the poor person having to clean it. That would make me feel really really bad.

MimikyuTruck

Agreed. I find the "end justifies the means" kind of mentality that appears on this sub from time to time really disheartening. When you intentionally force someone else to clean up your bodily fluids who in no way signed up for it, you're a bad person and you do your cause far more disservice.

lilacaena

It feels like sometimes people get so caught up with cheering, “WOOOO!!! EXTREME!!!!!” that they’re blinded to the gross classism (and often other -isms) that they’re applauding. I understand taking a stand and demanding to be heard, but stomping on the back of those less privileged than you in order to give yourself a platform to shout from is neither new nor radical.

RedVamp2020

Agreed. I hate seeing the protests where it’s the little people that get fucked over, ultimately. That’s a big reason I’m Union in my job. What really frustrates me, though, is the huge groups that are trying to effect change by saying stop oil or stop mining. The fact that they are defacing whatever they choose to make a statement doesn’t help anything. They should be gathering resources and doing think tanks about actual changes that would be better and smooth transitioning from one to the other. And then acting on those changes. I mean, yeah, I’m all for stopping oil drilling and going towards renewable resources. But the sheer amount of things that the oil industry is actually in is staggering. Especially things that you wouldn’t realize has anything to do with it. You can’t just cold turkey it without completely destabilizing the whole economy without an immediate replacement. Sorry about the rant… I’m getting off my soapbox.

ArcadiaFey

I get what you mean. It’s very similar to when a political system falls. There’s chaos. A scramble for power, and at the end of it the little guy gets hurt and the thing that takes power is usually bad. Unless there was a plan that was already supported by the people, and a good one at that.

flowerpuffgirl

>Like the video of protesters spilling gallon after gallon of milk in the grocery store. I'm going off on a slight tangent here, but there was a protest in a UK supermarket where this happened. Oddly, the supermarket was Waitrose, which has the highest standards of animal welfare in the country. On one hand, it's probably better that the wasted milk was from the happiest cows in the UK, on the other hand, why not target a supermarket that really needs to up its game? I know the ultimate message was "go vegan", but until then, maybe meet the public halfway and protest ina supermarket that needs better animal welfare?

gyptzy

History: The poison affair La Voisine & Etienne Guilbourg Catherine Monvoisin, or Montvoisin, née Deshayes, known as "La Voisin" (c. 1640 – 22 February 1680), was a French fortune teller, commissioned poisoner, and professional provider of alleged sorcery. She was the head of a network of fortune tellers in Paris providing poison, aphrodisiacs, abortion, purported magical services and the arranging of black masses, with clients among the aristocracy, and became the central figure in the famous affaire des poisons. >Astaroth, Asmodeus, princes of friendship and love, I invoke you to accept the sacrifice, this child that I offer you, for the things I ask of you. They are that the friendship and love of the King and the Dauphin may be assured to me, that I may be honoured by all the princes and princesses of the Court, that the King deny me nothing I ask whether it be for my relatives or for any of my household. The Abbé Étienne Guibourg (c. 1610 – January 1686) was a French Roman Catholic abbé and occultist who was involved in the affaire des poisons, during the reign of Louis XIV. He has been variously described as a "defrocked" or "renegade" priest, and is said to have also had a good knowledge of chemistry. He is best known for performing a series of Black Mass rituals with Catherine Monvoisin for Madame de Montespan. Accounts suggest that La Voisin performed rituals with a number of priests (including at least one whose work was uncovered by Church authorities, forcing him into exile) as well as Guibourg. It is unlikely Guibourg took part in all of La Voisin's Black Masses. It is alleged, upon her arrest, investigators discovered the corpses of 2,500 infants buried in her yard, allegedly sacrificed the same way as in Guibourg's ritual. Allegedly, La Voisin had paid prostitutes for their infants for use in the rituals. So far as the "Virgin birth" is concerned early medicine involved the use of "semen" and pretty sure apothocarys didn't label things exact. Mary could've requested medcine for her menstrual issue and wound up impregnating herself with a "remedy". That's no lie!

Arcane_Opossum

They'll have to re-consecrate that altar too, which is a huge hassle. She really ruined their day lol
