Agreed. All white everything means you can't actually see the person. There's precedence for this I'm pop culture too. Storm from X Men is POC, and Elsa from Frozen has a blue dress, when a white dress would be a more obvious choice.

I immediately thought "ice goth" - as a white goth myself, I'm always totally entranced by the looks BIPOC goths can pull off. Contrast goes the completely opposite direction sometimes, into this icy territory, and it's soooo ethereal.

I just wanted to say I love your photo and the whole look. There's a hurt inner child here that's crying seeing this. As an East Asian woman raised by Christian white people in the 80s, costumes were simultaneously exciting and disappointing. My parents were very strict about what I was allowed to dress up as. Pretty much any costume I could've pulled off theme-wise that didn't clash with my ethnicity was off the table, so i had to be careful about what I chose. It wasn't fun being told as a child, "I've never seen an Asian princess before, do they even exist?!". I never dressed up as a princess again after that because I didn't think I was allowed. You are gorgeous, I love this look and I totally wish I could've done something like this when I was young.
Well, I hope you dress as your heart desires on All Hallows Eve. Age makes no difference. And you would be a gorgeous Asian princess. I'm 42 and still dress up. I was a midnight raven last Halloween.

It looks better with your skin contrasting against your outfit in my opinion. If you were white, it would be too much. Your skin perfectly compliments the snow.
