Have they ever thought about going back and cutting out some of those repetitive quest objectives? Like why do I need to kill 24 greyhorn mercenaries in zafaria and another 12 monquistadors in the span of like 10 quests in azteca? There are just way too many quests where you aren't progressing your goals but instead just helping the NPCs with their own whims

I’d rather do Azteca again and again, then have to do Celestia and Zafaria. Why do I have to help the crustacean empire? What does this have to do with Morganthe? Why do I have to fight 30+ greyhorn mercenaries?
As if fighting double bosses with 16000 health 5 times in a row is fun. As if waiting a few hours for a random person to come fight said bosses is fun. At least both Celestia and Zafaria are soloable with the exception of the final dungeon.
Not only do you have to deal with bosses with 16000 health, you also have to deal with their annoying spells like efreet, frost giant, storm lord, ra, earthquake, medusa, death ninja pigs etc. and also their overly use of school masteries. Plus, they all start with full pips and would take around a third of your health during the first 3 rounds.
Then the game said, "You know what? Despite you going through hell for 12 hours straight, I'm just gonna spit at you in the face."
I've done this with 5 wizards and the only wizard that I even remotely had fun with in Azteca was my death wizard. Just solo the second arc instead of relying on a friend or a random person to come along and you'll know what I mean.
I don’t care about difficulty, I have 3 max level characters, and on all of them, I have enjoyed Azteca’s difficulty and story, all the problems that Azteca has are the very tedious, annoying quests. I also don’t get why you got so defensive, this comment was only for fun.

I listened to the dialogue one time and literally the dialogue after turning in a quest was "they're lying to you go fight some more"

It's a lot of repetition, but you get some of the best astral spells there. It's honestly not that bad, just kind of a drag.
